I'm going to put most of my $$ on the giftcard for this trip. It worked really well last time. It was so much easier whipping out the giftcard. I'm also going to put the money I need for the dining plan and such. I was able to use it for everything I wanted to purchase last trip. I don't go overboard with putting money on it, I have a rough idea of what I will spend and that is my goal for it. I figure if I have any leftover it's the beginning of the next trip.

I really think I want to do that for the October trip -- especially since we don't have a package this time and are just paying for everything separately.

I'm sleepy...I haven't been sleeping well lately. I suppose between stress and getting up early with the kids last week I'm just off my game.

Stacy- sounds like you had such fun (other than the various substances on your clothes requiring massive laundering ). So what did you think of Harry Potter?

Hey C! I did have a ton of fun! I miss my kiddos and cousins soooo much already! I don't even mind all of the mystery items on my clothes! Harry Potter was really great! There was enough comic relief mixed in with all the dark to keep it from being too overwhelming, especially for younger fans! I've been reading the books since I was in high school so I get really excited for them! I highly recommend them! How have you been?

The yard is wonderful too! Lots of mature trees for shade but would be nice and sunny in the winter (south facing). Greg said he would move the shed out to the other back corner of the lot and make more "living" space right behind the house. I can just see a wonderful playset and firepit for summertime smores

Katie that house looks very nice! A firepit with smores sounds fab! We just had some last weekend! I'm sure patrick and daniel would love it! I'll keep my fingers crossed!

HOUSE UPDATE: So... yesterday the family and I spent an HOUR at the house
with the realtor and Jim was ready to make an offer!

When our realtor called the bank's realtor to ask a few last questions,
she says, "Did my office call you?" and Chris (our realtor) says, "No"
Then- "Oh I'm so sorry. They were supposed to call you and cancel the
showing because the bank accepted a verbal offer earlier this afternoon."

WAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Hey Jess! I hope you have a great trip! The job search is super slow. I'm heading to a job fair on monday for a company here called Winners which is pretty much the Canadian version of Kohls. But they're looking for full time so hopefully something will come out of it!

LL- sorry you had to drink yucky stuff for your tests. I saw Katie mention her son had to drink it when he had suspected appendicitis. Thank goodness I didn't have to... of course I had my appendix out almost 30 years ago so they probably hadn't invented it yet.

How is the trip planning for those of you who are in the trip planning way?

Oh and yes, I believe you can use the gift card to pay for anything - anywhere they'll take a credit card!

We too are having some wacko weather! It's cloudy and chilly! Right now it is...only about 68 degrees here! I have the air off, the windows closed and a sweatshirt on! It was supposed to be sunny and hot finally today but I guess the rain has decided to stick around an extra day....hopefully it will clear up for my auntie's bbq tomorrow!

Katie - while you're weeding would you mind coming over to do my garden too? My patio is starting to look like a jungle but I do not have the patience for it! I'm just gonna ask my mum's boyfriend to come over with the weedwacker!

C -- I did know about the Gnome movie...but have never seen it. Must put it on the list. Sun is playing hide & seek here too.

Katie -- Have you read The Complete Walt Disney World Guide by Julie Neal....it's my favorite. It has beautiful color photographs mixed in with the text. Love it!

Stace -- I liked Harry Potter too. I've been reading them since High School as well and I was worried about this one a lot for some reason. I just love everything in the 6th book.

Marc was supposed to have his sleep study last night but it was rescheduled at the last minute so we had a nice relaxing night at home last night. He's off playing music with his friend and I cleaned. Now I plan to do some DISing and planning!

We are quiet today...in fact the DIS in general is quiet today. Hmmm...wonder why. I've had no life today.

I have to say they did leave out some stuff but I thought it was pretty good considering the size and detail of the book. Plus they stuck to the Ron/Herminone storyline which is my fave! I'm worried about book 7 being cut into two parts. I really really wonder how they're gonna do that! But I have faith that it will be good!

A quiet day on the DIS is good - maybe I can catch up on all my subscriptions!! It turned out to be a nice day yesterday - the first in a long time on a weekend- so maybe people were busy enjoying the sun? If I could only bring my laptop out to the pool and DIS from my lounge chair life would be perfect!!

LL & Stacy- All this HP talk makes me really want to see the movie. Did anyone watch the interview with JK Rowling on ABC the other night? I'm just fascinated that she came up with this idea. I keep waiting for my million $ idea!

Katie - good for you for weeding. I hate doing it but my front landscaping needs it badly!

CP- your day sounds very industrious with all the rearranging. Hope you kept all those little Disney touches in the kitchen. Did you make room for some Moroccan tiles?

So we went to a dulcimer fair and I think the highlight of the night was when they played Michael Jackson's Billie Jean on the dulcimers...it was a riot I about fell out of my chair LOL!!!!

Well...we are off to church this morning!! And I have a cold...boo to this chilly weather LOL!!!

Oh, I did keep all the little Disney touches -- I just moved furniture around and gave everything a massive cleaning. I didn't actually end up buying any Moroccan tiles -- the colors were just not appealing to me -- I wanted something with orange, but all they had were dark blues and greens.
