Gnomies Gone Wild

Anyone want to chat for a few?? :rolleyes1

I do!!!! Oops, only 2 1/2 hours late :sad2:

Very little laundry done today (a few more baskets of clean clothes but that's all, at least I know these are clean, the rest are questionable!)

The art fair was great! The boys and I went for about 1 1/2 hours and spent all the time in the kids area. Greg then came and picked them up so I could look around without them. I ended up buying 2 pairs of earrings and a pendant for me. I also got a necklace for my SIL. I was going to give her a gift card as a thank you for having my kids over last week but when I saw this necklace I thought she would really like it. I also spent some time in the beer and wine tasting tent :rolleyes1. I found a new local made wine that can also be purchased at one of the local grocery stores that was really yummy! Yeah, I spent more money than I should have

CP, school e-mails already :guilty: That's just not right! Sorry Chelsea is acting her age ;) Yeah, I wouldn't go back to that age for a million dollars!

LL, don't beat yourself up. The true test is really picking yourself up and doing better tomorrow!

Paula, where do I even begin? Yikes!

C,, we love ya!

Stace, someday I'd love to come hang in your igloo too

Good morning, Gnomies! Crazy busy weekend. I need a nap already!

Went to something like 8 open houses yesterday and have 4 showings toni'ght. I'm getting burnt out! They all blended together @ the end of the day. LOL.

Just when I think we've got things narrowed down, something else pops up on the market that we need to look at.

We did find a "perfect" house yesterday but it's 9,900 over what we are approved for andwe don't think we want to push for more, I really don't seem them coming down 10K on the price though..... We'll see...

WHO WANTS NOBBY? I packed him up a week ago and he's starting to rattle the box (he thinks I sent him already- shhhh!)

Good Morning Everyone!

Katie -- The fair sounds like it was a big success!

Julez -- Good luck in the house hunting. I don't enjoy that process at all, looking at houses over and over again. It's kinda like a wedding dress I think though, you know the right one when you see it.

I feel physically ill this morning. I think it's from all of the junk I ate this weekend. I am resolved to do better. I feel so yucky that I haven't eaten my breakfast yet. My tummy is NOT happy at all. :scared:

Good Morning Gnomies!!!

WB Paula!! You were missed!!!! Ummm...sounds like an interesting trip and I can't wait to hear more LOL!!!

C, LL, Stace, and Julez...Have a good week at work!

Julez....hopefully you will find some peace with whatever decision you make regarding the house...I would make the offer, during these times you'd be surprised by what people will take (even 10K less).

CP...ughh to school email I keep checking mine but nothing yet, but it will be showing up soon enough I'm sure!

Seriously.... last week I had a big order of chili cheese fries from Culver's and I PAID FOR IT for 2 days!!! Worst thing ever. Been trying to eat better because of that. :scared:

We are looking @ one good possibility tonight and I found 2 more I like in a community w/better schools and I think we're getting closer to a decision! :goodvibes

Here's the one we liked the best from yesterday: http://www.raarmls.com/rsweb/longone.asp?lsn=46463

Here's the one I think will be a contender for that:
http://www.raarmls.com/rsweb/longone.asp?lsn=43147

It has a lot of extra space in the garage and the basement was HUGE and immaculate when I saw it the first time. There's room to build a large bedroom in the basement, as well as an office if we so desire. Big yard.Looks small on the outside but quite a bit of space inside. Especially w/the basement!

Julez...I'll look at the houses tonight after work. :thumbsup2

On top of my stomach feeling gross...I think I have pink eye. :scared1: I can say the word pink eye and I catch, I think I've had it more as an adult than I ever did as a kid.

I'm going to wait until tomorrow though because I am not entirely convinced, if it's red tomorrow then I am going to the doctors. Sigh.

Julez, the first house is REALLY cute!! I like the style a lot but the basement of the second one is nice too. Good luck with your decision!

LL, they sell pink eye drops OTC. (perhaps Paula or Julez can comment on the ingredient comparison between it and the prescription ones) You might pick up a bottle on your way home tonight and see if it helps, it might save you a trip to the doctor.

Well, I had the world's fastest interview this morning! I got out of my van at 8:28 and was back in my van at 8:47. (oh, and let's not forget the hour drive both ways!) What does that mean? :confused3 He described the job to me, asked about 5 questions then gave me some time to ask a few questions of my own.

So now I'm just going over the different scenarios. I could have no jobs, possibly 1 or maybe 2 part-time jobs or perhaps a full-time. I'm so confused!!!

Do I get Nobby next? :woohoo:

They do sell them OTC? Does anyone know what to look for? I am 99% sure that it is Pink Eye. I don't want to deal with telling my boss I have a doctor's appointment. :headache:

That is a really short interview. Hmmm. Odd. I don't know what to think about that. Did it go well though?

A quick google search and I found this:
http://www.similasanusa.com/products-pink-eye-relief.cfm
these are the ones I have seen in the store. Might be worth a shot to see if it saves the hassle of a doctors visit.

One other possibility...one day I woke up on a Sunday and knew I had pink eye. I didn't want to have to wait until Monday and take a sick day from work so I went to Wal-Mart vision center and saw a doc there. If you have something like that nearby, you might call about an evening appointment.

Oh thank you thank you thank you, Katie! They have it at the CVS right by my house!!! I feel so miserable that I didn't even think to google.

Yup there are some great OTC eye drops that help with the irritation and itchy...hope you get some relief!!

Loved the houses that I saw...Julez...I would have a hard time picking just one!!!

Hope the interview goes well and that you will have plenty of jobs to choose from this coming fall Katie!!!!

Awww...I think Nobby would have fun with you!! :thumbsup2

:sad2: I just talked briefly with one of my supervisors and she shared a few things with me. She commented that my other supervisor has been making some comments to her that she thought were unjustified (she thankfully defended my work to him but still...) She asked if he had talked with me about a report to summarize the camp, which he has not. Apparently he is expecting this from me without asking for it or telling me what kind of information he would like in it :confused3

She also told me that they are in talks with the dean about continuing this program and adding some more responsibilities (which I agree should be done). IF the position is funded, it would be considered a new job and they would advertise it and I would have to apply and interview. Can I just say, the thought of having to interview to keep my job makes me want to vomit!

I know that it's probably just a formality and that my 1 supervisor would back me up 100% but it's my other supervisor that makes me nervous. Part of the reason I left teaching was due to a bad relationship with my principal. He would not say things to me if he had concerns or questions, instead he waited until I did something to upset him then unleash on me a list of complaints (he did this to a number of teachers, but not all and I never understood what his reasoning was). I have been feeling so good and positive about things lately, now I just feel sick

Good afternoon you gnome-alicious ladies!

Well, after waiting about 2.5 hours at the job fair I finally had an interview and....I have to go for a second interview on Wednesday! Even that left me with a good feeling since there were over a hundred people there before me (and I got there 10 minutes after it opened!) They're looking for 103 people so I think I have a good chance! The woman who interviewed me though I would be perfect as a stock cooridnator!:yay:I'm getting my hopes up!

LL - I'm sorry you feel yucky. Pink eye is not fun! :headache: I hope you feel better soon:hug:

Stace, someday I'd love to come hang in your igloo too

Katie you're welcome to my igloo too! Anyday! You're lucky you got your interview quick! I was soooooo bored waiting around this morning! It sounds like it was a standard interview, the ones I used to give weren't very long! Or for example, when I worked at the bookstore, the interview I was given was comprised of this:
"So you've worked retail before?" - yes I had
"And you like to read?" - yes I do
And I started a couple days later and stayed for over 2 years! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Hi gnomies!

LL- sorry about pink eye. Ack!

Katie - look at you always coming up with the handy tips and tricks. :thumbsup2 Your short interview does sound odd but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Sorry you're having a hard time with one of your bosses (makes me think of that show My Two Dads :lmao:). Hang in there. I'm sorry it's making you feel sick. On a different note, what do you have planned for Nobby?

Julez- those houses look great. How did it go today?

Stacy- your job prospects sound promising! Good for you!! :thumbsup2

Hi, Gnomies!

LL, hope the drops help your eyes! Pink eye is the worst!

Katie, more pixie dust on the job front! :wizard:

Stace, hurray for a second interview!

Julez, I like both of those houses!

Hi, Christine and Jen!

Hi, LL! I am good -- spent the day scrapbooking and avoiding the grocery store.

I was actually sleeping in late this morning (for the first time in forever) and my principal called at 7:30 thinking I was supposed to be at a meeting -- but he had the wrong month -- it's not until August 20th. :headache: I didn't go back to sleep after that.

Seriously? He was off by a month? That cracks me up!

Scrapbooking sounds like fun, better than my day at work.

Marc & I were talking about our vacationing schedules for the next few years. It gave me a headache. :headache:

I adore my principal (have worked for him for ten years), but he is always doing things like that.

It was fun, and I felt very productive afterwards.

I am in one of my, "I don't want to go to KW, I want to go to Disney" moods. I don't know how I will last two years until another full week there! :(

I don't know how you will either, CP! I don't want to think about having to go two years myself. BAH! :scared1:

MIL is on the phone right now.....wanting to know what we are doing this weekend. I am making frantic gestures to Marc hoping that he won't agree to anything. :headache:
