Good morning! some of you may have seen my FB status already but today is the last day of one camp and tomorrow is the FINAL day. We've had a couple issues this week but seem to have worked through them and will end sucessfully

Anyone with fun weekend plans? There is an arts festival in town on Sunday that I always enjoy (and it actually isn't supposed to be blazing hot like it usually is for it ). I always buy myself some new jewelery, I'm thinking something purple this year.

We also have a birthday party at the aquatic center (hopefully it won't be too cool for that!) They are saying we may come close to a record low one night in the next couple days. But it is sunny and wonderful during the days, perfect weather!

Blake actually just got a letter the otherday of Honda wanting to buy his car from him. It happened to my dad in 2007, he had bought a Toyota Tacoma pick up the year before, it had low miles on it and Toyota sent him a letter that said if he brought his vehicle in and traded that day, they'd give him $20,000 cash for it! I have never seen my dad act on something so quickly! He sold it, went straight to Honda and bought a 2007 Civic. We're all a big Honda family, I have an 2006 Civic, dad has a 2007 and mom has a 2008 CRV! Now Blake has my mom's old 2003 CRV...

This week is my parents week in Ocean City (MD, not NJ). Unfortunately we can only go for the weekend, but it's better than nothing! We've having a friend over for dinner tonight, then putting Riley in boarding at the vets fri afternoon and hitting the road when Blake gets home from work. I so can not wait...so many yummy foods down there!!

I'm Baaaaaaaccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkk gnomies!!!

Geez! In 6 days you managed to close down another thread and get 6 pages into a new one?! Holy doodle!!

The trip to Indiana was fabulous but Auntie Stacy is very very tired! We got back to town around 8pm last night and then my cousin Kyle and Lauren and I had tickets to a 10:30pm showing of Harry Potter!! Then I had a staff meeting at 8am this morning! I could sleep allllllllllllllllll day! But it was great fun!

I hope everyone else is doing well and has been these past days! Now it's back to reality for me....I have to be doing tons of this:

Since all of my clothes are now painted/granola bar-ed/boogied/s'mored/juiced/milked/dinnered/other mystery kid stickiness!

Okay gang....don't have much time....but had to get on and say "HI!!!" I have had a writing day today....Megs was gone with Grandma....so I accomplished writing TWO updates for the PTR....I have to write a witness for the women's weekend I am doing in September (partially done)....and I was in the mood for writing a little on the children's stories I have been working on since I was preggo with Megs. I need to get back to working on my witness, but just wanted to say hey!!! I hope you are all having a great day!!! I promise to chat more later!!!! (BTW, this opening up, sharing your life story, and reflecting upon it, is an awfully hard, difficult, emotionally icky thing to do.....I'm so OVER crying right now!!!! )

Hi everybody! I think I'm on the verge of snapping out of my uber-funk because the IRS informed us today we will be getting our refund credit check in the next 2 weeks AND Jim is coming to look at my dream house today and he is a snap-decision guy and MAYBE WE'LL BE MAKING AN OFFER SOON!

I couldn't wait to share my excitement w/all of you and that's when I really realized that although I haven't been around much these last few weeks, I do love and consider you all my good friends anyway! Thanks for being there for me, girls!

Katie- enjoy your last day at camp. I'm so pleased it has gone well. Quit rubbing it in about the great weather, though. Nothing but rain in New England and more of it tomorrow and Saturday. Mega thunder now but am working on laptop battery power.

Julez- hurrah for an end to uber funk. How did it go? Do you have pictures of this house?

Stacy- sounds like you had such fun (other than the various substances on your clothes requiring massive laundering ). So what did you think of Harry Potter?

Jess- how goes things in the lab? And Miss Riley? What a deal your dad got with his trade in. I wish I would get a letter like that!

Hey gang....had a great night....Tom and I got taken out to dinner by his parents to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary that is next week.....we had a great meal!!! So nice to have a night off from cooking too!!!

And no kitchen clean up! Always a plus! Dinner sounds lovely, too!

CP....hope the IL drama goes away quickly....do you need to vent?!?!?!

Well, I'll try to give the short version. Here's some background. I keep a relatively clean house -- it's not always spotless (after all we have kids and animals), but everything is always picked up and tidy. Now, grant you, the ceiling fans could stand to be dusted, but really, I am too OCD to have a nasty house.

Next Friday Chelsea is having a slumber party. Four girls whose parents I all know (partly because I teach three of them ). Not too worried about my house passing muster.

Well, my MIL (who is really and truly obsessive compulsive about cleaning) calls today about something and says out of the blue, "I figured I would come over next week and clean your bathrooms for you." I flipped out and said, "No, you are not. I am perfectly capable of cleaning my own bathrooms in my own house at the age of 34." Then, she got that wounded tone of voice like I had told her she couldn't play with her favorite toy.

Meanwhile, my SIL is also annoying me.

Adding insult to injury, I am way too hormonal to deal with any of these people.

That is something my MIL would totally say and try to do!! UGH!!!! In fact, when Marc & I moved into our first apartment together she came over to help us to paint. Well she decided that our spare bedroom was not clean enough so she started cleaning and cleaning and CLEANING. Now our apartment was clean before we moved in...so what she was cleaning was beyond me. I kid you not, she cleaned this teeny tiny spare bedroom for almost three hours. My Mom was there at the time and she whispered to me...."does she think you are having a baby soon or something and that is why she is going crazy in that room?" It was that ridiculous.

She's also deemed our AC too dirty and proceeded to whip out our vacuum and clean it. So annoying.

I just don't get it. No matter how disgusting someone's house could be I would NEVER say or try to clean their house, it is so freaking rude.

I nearly have a panic attack everytime I know she's coming over.

I am so not looking forward to in-laws later today -- since it is Chelsea's b-day I will try my hardest to play nice.

Whenever my MIL wants to comment on something she thinks is not clean enough in my house....which is btw, always straight, tidy, and for the most part, clean....ANYWAY, she will SUGGEST a new product or piece of cleaning equipment that I NEED to make cleaning whatever it is SO EASY and will go on and on and on about how that product/equipment does SUCH a GOOD JOB!!!!! Like I can't figure out what she is doing!!! UGH!!!! What is up with these women?!?!?!!? Do they think their sons are seriously living in filth?!?!?!?! I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!

Sorry CP that there is SIL drama too!!!! I hope whatever it is gets resolved soon!!!
