BTW...love the new ticker...so cute!! The DIS tickers are so nice!! Next trip going to get one of those LOL!

I'm not 100% sure that I like the ticker size but I love the boat. WOO HOO!.

Hey ladies... thanks for the well-wishes and sympathy. Jim has a couple job leads so hopefully unemployment wont' last long.

It sort of screws up my trip plans though because although our flights are bought and cannot be rescheduled, my friend is thinking she doesnt want to go now. She actually lives with us and is stressing out that she will be helping more with the household expenses and doesn't think we can swing it. I'm trying to convince her that staying offsite, we can do it really budget and just spend a day in the park, the water park, and go to the beach for the rest of the time. We'll see what happens. I swear I have the worst luck .

Well, I just found out that Charles' coaching stipend is going to be far less this year. Too bad someone didn't tell us this before we were halfway through the season. Now, I don't know if WDW will be a possibility at all this summer. I went and cried in the bathroom here at work when I found out how much less money we would be getting. We have had the worst luck with losing money this year. It's been one thing after another.

I am not in a happy place right now, that's for sure.

Thanks, LL. I really don't know if it will happen or not. At this point, all the pinching of pennies might not help. What's the saying about you can't get water from a stone or something? That's how I am beginning to feel. It's becoming more of a source of stress than anything fun to plan. I guess we'll see. I just want to go home at this point, and I have to stay for stupid mandatory training.

My trip is def. turning into less of a Disney trip and more of a Florida trip... DtD and hotel pool on day 1.... MK on day 2...Cocoa Beach day on day 3...Blizzard Beach on day 4.... and resort touring for crushed coins and pin trading along with Disney mini-golf in the afternoon for any free time. Not quite what I imagined but fun and cheap!

Julia, I like your ideas of taking the can't-get-a-refund-anyways tickets and finding a way to enjoy the area in a cheaper way. sounds like you found a good deal on an off-site hotel and I'm sure there are lots of ways you can enjoy the magic without the same cost (DTD, resort hopping, etc) Will you still be planning on MK for the same day? I would love to spend some time with you!

Good Morning to you too Gnomies!!! It is one of the biggest days of the year around here---the beginning of March Madness....the NCAA Tournament! Every year, Tom opens up the lower level family room---aka THE MEN DEN---to all his guys, and they all congregate all weekend to watch all the basketball games. My job, is to keep the fridge stocked and the food flowing!!! It is a lot of fun, and if I didn't love all of Tom's friends, it would be horrible---but they are all great guys, and so much fun is always had by everyone!!! This year, I will be missing their little kick-off traditions because I get to go in and help out with Megan's teacher for the day---YEAH!!! So good times all around!

Well I have to admit that I'm having my own monetary worries! Not so much for right now but our future. This whole finding a teaching job in Austin has me very worried!! I know it will all work out but between now and then I'm very anxious!!

Thankfully, tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is coming!! I'm thinking the weekend of Easter of doing a garage sale...so gnomies...let's help me out. What are your best tips to hosting a very successful garage sale!! It's time to clean house baby and make some money in the process!!!

I shudder at the thought of a bunch of guys watching sports in my house. You are a better woman than I am!

In regards to a garage sale, I think it all comes down to location. Do you live on a busy road? If not, I would put in ad in the paper for sure so you can get some more traffic to you.

Jen, I totally relate to the trying to find a job woes! I keep asking people when they will start interviewing for this job in town but nobody knows when it might happen. I was really hoping to be in Disney knowing I have a job but if they wait until they hire a new principal, that won't happen! I always figure the longer they wait, the fewer applicants will still be available. The one thing I worry about is that there will also be a job at the high school that I will have to apply for when the time comes if I don't know about the MS position but I really do prefer the MS job. UGH...I hate this!

In regards to a garage sale, make sure you advertise well and if you don't live someplace very easy to find, have lots of signs pointing the way. In your ads, try to be specific about what kinds of items you have available. When the boys were younger, I used to do a lot of garage sale shopping and most people are looking for specific types of items and prioritize thier list/route and may not even bother with an ad that says "lots of misc"

LL hope the move is almost finished. I'm sure you're sick of boxes and unpacking things!

Things have been so busy around here lately. I dont remember if I mentioned it, but I finally got my raise! I'm still severely being underpaid for my education, but I already talked to them about that. The problem right now is that I have 6 classes left before my class finishes, 1 quiz, 1 field trip, 1 four page paper, 1 20 page paper and my final exam. I have yet to get any grades back for the 1st quiz, paper and midterm that we've taken. Class ends on April 27th. My independent research project paper is due April 16th. If I don't finish it by then, I don't get to walk and graduate with Blake in May. Please think good thoughts for me, it's going to be a very busy next month.

I'll try and pop in when I can, but good luck with everything dear friends!
