I am really excited about mom going with us this time. I kinda feel like I want just her and me to go, but..I feel bad about not going without Blake, especially since this year, we'll point on at the Boardwalk Resort while we're there looking at holiday decorations and say, "Remember, this time last year, you proposed right here"....so I think I'll bring him along again

That is so cute I can hardly stand it!

I have to admit, it probably seemed really weird to a lot of people that I, as a grown woman, went to WDW with my mum last year, but we had an amazing time! It was very nice to kind of reconnect with her. Not that she and I aren't close (we talk every single day, at least once, and I see her no less than once a week!), but when you're together all the time like that you really bond and make more memories to share and that was honestly the best part of the trip for me. I think you'll love having both she and Blake there to celebrate with and become even closer!

My mom & I had a great time in May '09, it would have been even better if I hadn't been dealing with all of those blisters. I hope someday my Mom & I will be able to go again even though she says she is holding out for grandchildren to go with.

Well.... I took Kyle out driving today..... eek!! I can't believe he has his permit!! I lived to tell about it... so lesson was a success lol!!

I'm competing in a digi-scrapping contest.... its That Scrapper's Got Talent. I made it thru the 1st round... and am on to the 2nd.

Here are my LOs... the 1st was was for round1... the 2nd I finished tonite for round 2

This is Ellie from dress rehearsal a couple weeks ago..... she's growing up way too fast lol!

And this is also Ellie... lol! She was trying on her outfit that she put together for the opening number for the recital.

Paula....I think we are ALL getting a little excited to live vicariously through your trip!!! EEEEKKKKK!!!! I am so proud of you for endurng taking Kyle out to drive....I have already pushed that duty off to Tom---I won't have the nerves to handle Megs driving!!!! Jess....I am right there with you on the UGGHHHHH factor of Blake's family finding out about your plans!!! I hope you can avoid that as best as possible!!! I would LOVE to take a trip sometime with just my Mom, sis, and Megan, but I know that Tom would "have" to go too!!! Well, he is good for running for FPs.....so we would probably take him just for that! Ha ha ha hahaaaaaaaa!

I hope you all had a chance to hop over to my PTR to see the pics of Megs from her recital...she was TOO cute this year! She really made Tom and I proud---shocking, right!?!?!??!

Things have been in "full gear" for me in attempt to get everything ready for this trip we are about to take in July....still COMPLETELY overwhelmed by the prospective heat and the overwhelming crowds, but we are going to do our best to live by the mantra..."We get what we get, and we won't get upset!" Do you want to start a pool to see how long that optimism lasts?!?!! ha ha ha hah ha ha!!!! I need to make another update on the PTR to bring everyone up to speed on the shopping purchases and other things being done to ensure we are ready to roll out of here and head south on the 20th!!! In a weird way, I am SO over the top excited, but feel like I need more time to prepare because I feel unprepared for some reason. Does that make sense?!?!?!

Well, I gotta run for the moment....heading up to get the free alignment done on my car...will be back to chat later!! LOVE YA GNOMIES!!!

BTW I shared this over on my TR but wanted to share with you ladies!! We are one very excited household...Prince P got a job offer this last week!! It is a step up in pay and he will definitely be more happy there...no chasing after kids who want to physically harm you and less of a drive!!! I know many of my gnomies were praying and sending happy thoughts our way so THANK YOU!!! You guys are the best!!!

MM-Talk to Katie if you're worried about the heat, maybe just for a piece of mind! She just came back from her 2 weeks in June and she came out alive..

And thank you! I always get bothered when Blake's mom pushed her way into plans..I have certainly been better about my attitude toward it, but it definitely still registers on my aggrevation meter

My mom and I are debating if we should do a moderate this year. Blake and I have stayed at Music, Sports and Pop..and mom and I used to stay at CBR. I looked up prices, and as long as they offer free dining in December, which they normally do, we may lean either toward CBR again or try Port Orleans...any feedback on POR?

It's SO SO nice to get the gnomie chatter back! I love it!!

POR, POR, POR, I say stay at POR!! LOL well you know me and my love of the mansion rooms there!! I love the resort and they have some great facilities there plus the boat ride to DTD!! Of course if you are looking for a more quaint resort POFQ is also high on my list and you can't beat the beignets LOL!!!!

Jess - Minus one lousy CM a few years ago, POR (or my fave POFQ ) is very lovely! It's large but peaceful and well laid-out and the mansion rooms are gorgeous! I can't wait to head back in Septemeber....especially after seeing so many TRs with it lately!

CBR is definitely nice too though, however I found it's layout more confusing and spread out. For my mum who wasn't as much into being at the parks all day everyday it was defintely the right fit for her. However, it's always nice to switch things up every once in awhile!

I was reminded once again today that I need to find a new job....since Disney's International Program doesn't seem to have any interest in me, I think I'm gonna have to start looking more local Why do I have to want to leave my job in such a bad economy?!

The whole thing I do not like about POR is the buses stopping at multiple stops in the resort. You kinda eliminate that at POFQ because if they are sharing with POR, the buses go to POFQ first so you don't have a longer ride at least when you are coming back from the resort. And they usually don't share in the mornings when you are going to the parks, at least from my experiences. But that being said, POR is so beautiful and relaxing.

Stace, something will turn up for you. Me, I just don't want to work anymore.

Is anyone or does anyone know of someone who is renting DVC points?? We are looking for January and thought I'd hit up here before going to the rent/trade board. I much rather buy from someone I know if I can.

I've found even at POFQ in off-season times sometimes we've shared busses with POR, especially at closing times for the parks and at odd times such as the middle of the afternoon. I don't really mind the extra stops much since most people are in hurry-mode and get on and off quickly. I also did have experience with the Murphy's Law thing - while I was staying at POR they stopped at POFQ first. While I was at POR, they stopped at POFQ first.

In my dreams I would retire tomorrow and be done with working! Alas, I don't wish to be homeless or die of starvation so working must be done....and then there's my shopping habit and the Disney habit.... I was informed today at work that I'm gonna be trained for another area which will be good to know, but I am definitely keeping my eyes and ears open for a new opportunity
