Is this normal? Three nights four adults POFQ standard room spd 2551.64
Same trip garden view online 2431.16
Is it worth staying on hold for who knows how long to see if they will adjust this?

I just did the same. Booked it on my own online and will cancel when the call times are normal again. But it was $150 saving vs on the phone the other day. I went ahead and booked out of fear that it would sell out if I didn't.

That is so interesting -- I have a friend who booked on the phone and then checked it online and said the phone reservation is $304 higher than online. So strange. I thought it was just her misunderstanding, but I keep reading about the same occurrence from other people.

I used to call to book my trips, but the last 2 times I've booked online and it's so much quicker and easier.

Interesting. I was worried that, that might have happened to us also , so I double checked. We booked during the Disney Visa Only period over the phone with a representative, with the Dining plus (one table service per day), and price we paid, was exactly to the cent what the online price I just double checked was:thumbsup2.

So I don't know if there is any validity to this.:confused3....It's hard to imagine that disney would do this to their guest, especially when it's so easy to double check, and they'd have to "fix" it for you anyway if you called back.

i Wonder if over the phone if ur booking a package they pick the winter room discount mistatkenyl then add the tickets and dining on separately (this way the tickets and dining are not discounted). Instead of starting out with SPD package. If you price it out you lose a discount of around $150.

I thought this too...turns out I incorrectly clicked my dates, and was a day short of my original, hence the 'savings':rotfl2: good thing I checked carefully before submitting!

I booked over the phone this morning and it was exactly the same as online. Maybe you will need to be very clear which discount you are looking for....I had them price out both.

When I book I always check online and call to compare the prices. I like to ask if there are any discounts that I qualify for that may be better than what I a seeing. Usually the two prices are spot on. If the online price is lower I will tell the phone cast member what I am seeing online and they will adjust if I am booking over the phone. I usually book online and have never seen the online price be higher than the price quoted on the phone. It can pay to check. YMMV. Have fun!

Does your phone reservation perhaps includes trip insurance?
No, I checked. No extras that I can see. These two reservations are identical as far as I can tell. I chatted with a csr and they told me I need to correct this on the phone but that it can be done later when crowds die down.

I think that they are booking the room only discount then adding the tickets and dining to make it a package with the discount off the room only. I could be mistaken but from what can tell s/p/d has not include POFQ or POR standard view rooms. CSR has standard rooms so if u want to compare try pricing out CSR under the promotion for your dates to make sure the prices are about the same.

When booking over the phone give them the promotion code to apply to your reservation so you know for sure what they are putting in instead of telling them you want S/P/D
