Give me your opinion, All Star Sports are Pop Century

We are leaving this weekend for 8 nights at Disney, we were supposed to camp at Fort Wilderness but have decided it is just too hot. At the time we changed All Star Sports was the only value resort available and it is the only one we haven't stayed at. I am still hoping to luck up on our favorite All Star Movies, but right now there is availiability at POP. We have stayed at POP before for a weekend trip and I like it pretty good. I do like the layout of the value resorts better but we love to have the Disney feel, that is why Movies is our favorite we love the huge Disney Icons. From what I have found of Sports on line I am afraid we will not get the Disney feel there. Thanks for any opinions.

I'd choose Pop. You can walk across to AoA to see the Cars and Nemo areas and get your Disney icon fix.

I have stayed at both, I liked both, I liked the smaller size of Sports but I do think POP has a better food court

Right now, Sports has been taken over by unsupervised sports teams and BTGs. There was so much noise it was almost impossible to sleep. Couldn't get to the drink dispensers to refill resort mug because of the crowds of teenagers. Worst trip ever! Don't go to Sports during July. Lesson Learned!!

Hmm... tough one. I enjoyed both of our stay at POP and ASsports. You can either stay at Sports and just walk down to ASMovies and have lunch or dinner there if you need that Disney Movie "fix" or you can go to POP and walk across the bridge to AoA where Cars, The Lion King, Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo icons are there. It's also very "Disney" there. I've seen many photos and I think it's worth it check that place out.

Completely agree with this. Same thing happened to us on our one and only stay at the AS Sports. They are frequently overrun with undersupervised sports/cheer/dance teams (and I sometimes think the chaperones are worse than the kids) and BTGs. If at all possible, stay at one of the other values. If Pop is available right now, I'd grab it fast, while you still can.

Thanks for the advice. I called last night and changed to POP. Hopefully the groups will not be bad there. I don't think I am even going to try and get Movies anymore because of that. Plus I am looking forward to being right there at AOA.

I like Pop better because it is located closer to more, like DTD and MK, EP, HS. THe AS's are closer to AK only. At the end of the day, I just want to get back to the hotel and relax!!!

We are at Disney now and I was going to give everyone an update. We did stay at POP however, we were moved to POFQ on Tuesday because of the BTG. Our room was in the 50's section on the 4th floor overlooking the pool. Appearantly they put us in the section with 2 BTGs. The 2nd night of not being able to sleep because of them hanging out at the pool I started calling the front desk at 12:30 they kept saying they would call security. I called 4 times and at 3:30 I just gave up. I talked to the manager the next day, he said well our pools are open 24 hours so all we can really do is have Security go by and ask them to be quiet but of course as soon as we leave they are going to go back to being noisy again. He said this is the first year of them staying at POP. I thought how about talking to the adults that are in charge of them and telling them they need to be under control. If not telling them they have no pool privlidges after a certain time. It is supposed to be quiet time, I just wanted them to enforce the rules but if they weren't and were willing to move us I was going to go with it, it is hard to keep making Park Opening when you are getting no sleep. I hope we never have to take our weeks vacation in July again, we usually go the first of June. If we do I will stay off site before staying at a Value Resort (which we love). I know they are just being kids but having so many groups in one place at a time, wow it was an experience. I blame it more on the adults what were they doing when these kids were staying up all hours of night unchaperoned.

Too bad about the BTG (Brazilian Tour Group if my guess is correct). Nice upgrade though.

Brazilian Tour Group is right I know I can't really be aggravated with Disney when they gave me an upgrade.

I am deciding between these same 2 resorts and right now I am leaning towards Pop.
