I'm sooooo excited about the new trip - it's going to be an amazing experience!

What a fun time you will have with the other moms in January! So, now you are up to three more trips with your AP?

It's going to be fantastic! This will make four trips with the AP - family trip April 2010, fall trip with Laura, Spectrum Moms trip & family trip in February 2011. :thumbsup2

*********************************************************

Out in the Berkshires at the lake cottage until Wednesday - hope to get another update posted toward the end of the week. MK goals! :cool1: Plus - I'll get my new Spectrum Moms trip ticker up & running!! :thumbsup2

Hi Amy...sorry just get caught up w/ your EP goals....

so is that just for one day? :confused3 I guess for two people you may back it in...I think going Canda to Mexico is generally the way to do it...if you are trying to pack the most in in one day...I think people veer to the left and go around clockwise vs the other way...

I dunno...JAT...don't know if that was helpful.

I'd try and look and see the things the little things you normally wouldn't w/ kids in tow....

J~

:):yay: for January

Wow 4 trips with your AP, that is GREAT!!!

I'm looking into one now too, what is the best way to purchase one?

Yes - We just have one Epcot day planned, but might go back on Saturday night... not sure if we'll end up there or at MK. :confused3

I know the list is long, but it's a wish list... I prefer to put too much on my list so I don't forget anything along the way. I don't usually get EVERYTHING done, but aim high! And yes - I will definitely be planning to check out the things I wouldn't normally get to see. ;)

That has got to be the trickiest ticker ever!

Keeps on changin' !

Have fun at the lake...

Kathy

Very tricky!! Luckily I never got the first one up and I used the link Julie sent after already making it into a ticker. :thumbsup2

:):yay: for January

Double yay for January!!

I :lovestruc my AP!!

Not sure the best way to get an AP - I didn't have any choice... I had a free one day ticket from the Get a Day program. I upgraded it to an AP on the first day of our trip last time.

When calculating the benefit of getting an AP, don't forget about the free parking. :thumbsup2

After five days at the lake (four of which rained...), I'm back!! I feel like I was gone for so long with the new Spectrum Mom's PTR up & running! Plus we had a lot of planning emails going back & forth. I had very limited email access on my phone & a few minutes on Tim's computer at night. Seems like I have a lot of catching up to do!

We made the best of the rain & Tim was a great sport, swimming with the boys several times a day. (It was sooo chilly... in the 60s...) We also visited Six Flags New England yesterday - luckily the 50% chance of rain never happened. It was cloudy & cool, but dry. :thumbsup2 The rain held off until we got back to the cottage! I learned something new that I appreciate at WDW... NO game booths! (Except Dinoland of course) The kids played one game (and didn't win) and wanted to play more... To me it seemed like a waste of time & money!

Lots going on over the next week... tomorrow we have a trip into Boston to visit the boys' neurologist (we go every 6 months) plus a dentist appointment for Alex. Friday will be haircuts, a first grade picnic for Zach & some last minute back to school shopping. Not to mention the mountain of dirty laundry in the basement! :faint: Hopefully the weekend will be restful... because school starts on Monday! I'll spend the morning in the library with a few other PTO moms stuffing the student folders with all of that paperwork you all get on the first day of school. Hopefully I'll have some time to catch up with Laura after that. And On Wednesday I'll start making my ADRs!! :cool1:

I hope to have another update posted in the next couple days. I still need to post my MK goals for the fall trip (36 days to go!!) but first I'll post my itinerary for the February/March trip, along with the ADRs I hope to get next week.

Sorry about all the rain you guys had on your trip. But good to hear yall were able to make the best of it! :thumbsup2
Good luck on your ADRs!!! I hope you get everything you want! Sending some pixiedust your way! pixiedust:
I noticed on your Epcot day wish list you mentioned Captain EO as a definte and Honey I Shrunk the Audience as a maybe. If I'm not mistaken they're in the same theater.
Also I would totally skip Reflections of China. I know you mentioned the standing still for a long time, and not only do you have to stand for the duration of the show, but also wait while they file in all the people. They also like to wait a bit in between shows to make sure and get a decent sized group. It ends up eating up a lot of precious park time. I learned the hard way on my trip in 2007.

You're right! I know they are in the same theater... I think I had put HISTA on my maybe list before I realized Captain EO would still be there. I'd take Captain EO over HISTA any day! :thumbsup2

Good advice about Reflections of China. Sounds like if we pick one standing up movie, Canada would be the way to go. :goodvibes

How did the boys do at Six Flags? Were the waits long?

Sorry to hear about the rain but it still sounds like you had a relaxing time. I'd love to have 60 degree weather right now actually. Today it was mid-upper 70's and it felt like fall to us b/c we've been in a heat wave the past week or so. Those game booths ARE a waste of money. Even if you win, it's a toy that maybe cost .25 cents and if you want to trade-up after so many wins you could have bought the stuffed animal for like $1! :) It's great to kids, though! :)

It wasn't crowded at all... because of the weather. They do offer something similar to a GAC (I had called ahead of time to inquire) but we only used it once... toward the end of our visit I took the boys on a spinny ride that Tim was going to sit out. The games were the biggest problem! And actually Alex had a bit of a meltdown in the gift shop trying to narrow down his two favorites to the one he was able to get.

The cool weather was a nice break from all the heat we've had this summer, but it got old fast. Our big adventure one day was to Walmart about 45 minutes away... we needed to buy some new games/arts & crafts supplies.

4 trips! WOW!

I am all caught up. Confused at times but all caught up. Ok, I realize I was just there but for some reason I though EO was in the place where HISTA used to be, I didn't realize that HISTA was still there and we did see Captain EO!

Must have been the slushie.

:rotfl:

I'm glad you guys got the ticker up, I was so confused when the trip was alluded to but didn't see anything in Kathy's ticker!

I'm a bit confused too! :faint:

Yes - I had both HISTA & Captain EO on my Epcot list... I had written the list before I knew Captain EO was definitely going to be there... I never deleted HISTA off the list before I posted it. Oops! There'll be no HISTA for us... but that's OK. :thumbsup2

We had all sorts of ticker craziness going on... old one, new one, some had it up, some didn't... I think we're all good now.

Sorry to hear it rained so much during your weekend. :(

Yes, I agree, those game booths are a waste of time and money. Even the ones at Dinoland drive me nuts.

Did the boys ride a lot of the roller coasters at Six Flags?

The start of school is always so crazy with so many things to do. Hope it all goes smoothly for you!

Yeay for ADR day on Wednesday!!!

We went on a few coasters... of course, they weren't tall enough for several of the rides, including the big one, Bizzaro.

I'm expecting a pretty smooth start to the school year since they are both returning to the same school and have met their teachers. Zach's class is so small they only have one classroom for the whole grade, so he knows all the kids too. :thumbsup2 Alex has two classes for his grade, but he's been with those kids since kindergarten or 1st grade so he knows everyone too! But we'll see... there could be some surprises...

I hope you've gotten into the groove with the new school year.

First off... an update for the fall trip... We're down to 34 days & we got our ME documents today!! I hadn't even had a chance to call & make sure they had our info! Actually we may have received them earlier this week, but our mail was on hold while we were away and I just got it all today.

The second piece of good news for fall is that they added a second showing of Fantasmic on our DHS day! So now there is a chance we could get to ride TSM!! :cool1: Now the question is which showing do we attend? Fantasmic will be at 8:00pm & 9:30pm. If we go to the 8:00, we'll need to find our seats around 7pm, right? I assume we'd be out by 8:30? That would give us an hour to ride TSM & maybe something else. :confused3 If we attend the later showing of Fantasmic at 9:30, we wouldn't have to find our seats until around 9pm. Would the crowds go down significantly at 8pm when the first Fantasmic begins? How long do you think the lines will be at TSM during the first Fantasmic? :confused3

Any thoughts or suggestions you have for my TSM/Fantasmic dilemma would be appreciated. :goodvibes

Now onto the Feb/March trip...

Here is the first version of our itinerary, along with my wish list for ADRs this week.

Sunday 2/27: Arrival in Orlando, Animal Kingdom either before or after check-in at Vistana.
• No ADRs

Monday 2/28: Epcot
• Teppan Edo lunch ADR*

Tuesday 3/1: Magic Kingdom – pre-park entry for breakfast & Wishes at 8pm (mid-day break)
• Crystal Palace 8:00am breakfast
• Ohana dinner

Wednesday 3/2: DHS
• Sci Fi Dine In lunch

Thursday 3/3: Open morning (maybe AK if we didn’t get there Sunday)/Epcot afternoon & evening – stay for Illuminations
• Le Cellier dinner*

Friday 3/4: AK (if we didn’t go Thursday – otherwise open morning)/DHS afternoon & evening
• Mama Melrose’s dinner

Saturday 3/5: Epcot am/MK pm – MSEP at 7pm
• Chefs of France lunch (check Remy times)*

Sunday 3/6: Departure Day… Open morning – have to hit the road by 1:00pm

*These ADRs are interchangeable if I can’t get what I want on certain dates.

So what do you think?

Hey Amy...taking a break to catch up on the boards...today has been a doozy :faint:

I'm not positive, but my guess would be crowds lighter at the 2nd showing of any of the nighttime entertainment, so go w/ that and hopefully the TSM lines won't be horrific...you are not getting FP's because why again?

arriving late in the day?

I think the begining plans for Feb/March look good...is Chefs new for you guys?...it seems like a real good mixture :thumbsup2

J~

WOOT for 34 days and Mickey mail! I'd definitely go for the 2nd showing, you can walk right in and sit versus waiting forever. Not sure about wait times on TSM during the first, that's a darn good question. I don't know that it would impact it. EMH at night will impact it more I'd think but that's not the same night as F!.

The ADR line up sounds good and I like that it's interchangeable.

btw...TR is up! :goodvibes

Yes - Late arrival! Hopefully around 1pm, but I can't say for sure. If there are FPs left, we'll definitely be grabbing a pair. And with only one showing originally scheduled we knew that even if we did get FPs, the return time would be too close to when we needed to be at F! But now with the second showing, if we get FPs, we should be able to use them!!

Yes - Chef's is new for us. As well as Sci Fi, Ohana & Mama Melrose's.

Luckily it's not an EMH... or maybe that would have helped us.... either way, it's not, so at least we won't have those crowds to deal with. :thumbsup2

Hopefully the fact that it's a Thursday night in late September will work to our advantage. :confused3

Yay for your TR!!

Hi Amy!!!:wave2: I didn't even realize until today that you had a PTR going already!!! I need to pay closer attention!!! Okay, now I have 12 pages to catch up on!! Can't wait to see all your plans!!!!!!!!! Way to work out that AP!!!!:goodvibes
