Give me an AP & look what happens - 2 for 1 PTR!! NEW 3/11 p.63 TR Link

I have no experience with being at DHS on a F! night but my gut says to go to the 2nd show. I would like just trying to get out of the theater after the first showing would eat up a lot of time getting back into the "park".

I would go with the 2nd show, I would think people would go for the 1st so they could get the kids to sleep early enough to get up and ready for the next day

Hi Amy!!!:wave2: I didn't even realize until today that you had a PTR going already!!! I need to pay closer attention!!! Okay, now I have 12 pages to catch up on!! Can't wait to see all your plans!!!!!!!!! Way to work out that AP!!!!:goodvibes

Hi Beth!! So glad you found me!! Hopefully my links will help you catch up. :goodvibes

That's true... I didn't think about how much time it would take us to get out of the theater & get back over to TSM... I'll have to poke around the attractions forum to see if I can find out more info.

The first show will definitely be fuller... hopefully that means the wait time at TSM will go down. :confused3

There were two showings for Fantasmic when we were there in July, and both lines were crazy long. I would think you would want the second show, though, and hopefully, it won't be nearly as busy when you are there in September.

We've done the second Fantasmic twice now and it was great both years! :thumbsup2 And that was during busy Jersey Week...

I recommend F2!!

Hi Amy. I also did not realize you had a PTR going. I just read it all. Wow 3 trips to look forward to!! That's great:thumbsup2

All your plans look good. $79 flights:cool1::cool1:

Looks like you had a great summer. What a great weekend here in NH huh??

I think I would go with the 2nd Fantasmic showing also. It will take a while to get out of the first showing if you want to head to TSM.

Time is going to fly and you'll be there before you know it! SO glad you're going to Fantasmic. MGM (which it will always be called to me haha) is my least favorite park.. but fantasmic by FAR my fav show (since MSEP is not a perm. thing in WDW anymore)

How is Snowy doing? Settling in better?

Hope the boys are enjoying their new teachers and classmates!!!

I really don't know, but I would say go for the 2nd showing of Fantasmic. Seems like a lot of people would clear out after the first, I know I would :rolleyes1 cause it would be bed time for me and my kiddos ;)

I'm expecting fairly light crowds so hopefully it won't be too bad! :confused3

Thanks Kathy! I'm so torn... more on that below...

Hi Doreen!! So glad you made it over here!! Yes - three trips - it's pretty crazy how it all came together - hope you join me over on the Spectrum Moms PTR too!

Another vote for the 2nd Fantasmic... hmmm...

Time is definitely going to fly by! School actually starts tomorrow... so we'll see... Can't wait to see Fantasmic... I've only seen it once & loved it, but the way they have the schedule now, it's too difficult to get there with the kids. Can't wait to see MSEP too!!

Snowy is great! He discovered our gerbils this weekend:

Lucky for them we have a locking cover on the cage!

Agreed - lots of people will clear out after the first Fantasmic for sure... I'm excited to be at WDW in March because the show times are going to be earlier than when we usually go at the end of April. It will be so much easier with the kids! :thumbsup2

Here's my thought on Fantasmic... I haven't decided! :headache: Some DIS veterans over on the park touring thread all suggested we go to the first Fantasmic then get in line for TSM. Everyone in line gets to ride, even if the park closes... good point there! But everyone here on my PTR, and some folks over on Tour Guide Mike are suggesting the second Fantasmic. :confused3 So I don't know what to do. :rolleyes1 I'll let you know when I figure it out.

I'll be back tomorrow for lots of dancing... back to school dancing & one month dancing!! :cool1:

Sorry to hear it rained so much during your trip, but glad you guys made the best of it. :goodvibes

I'm no help with Fantasmic! since we still have never seen it. :rolleyes1

Wow Amy! Look at you with 3 trips coming up! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I'm caught up now and ready to head over and start reading the Spectrum Mom's PTR! :thumbsup2

Oh...congrats on the great airline deals...AWESOME!! :goodvibes

Hot & sunny would have been nice, but the lake was a nice little getaway before school started. :thumbsup2

Hurray for a great first day of school for both boys!!! They are so cute posing this morning!

It looks like you had a lot of fun at the lake even if the weather was less than spectacular!

Oh, those boys make me laugh! I love the silly pictures best!

Breathed a sigh of relief when I read about their great First Day.

And now for the Girlfriends Trip Dancing!!

:dance3: :woohoo: :banana: party::dogdance::cheer2: :dance3:

It was a huge relief after all the drama with the first day of school last year. Zach was a mess for the whole first week. He's so big this year!!

The lake was nice - even with the rain.

Thanks for the dancing... I'll be doing more tomorrow when we change the calendar to September! :thumbsup2

The boys are funny... I bribe them with the offer of a funny picture if they do the nice pictures first.

I didn't get up at the crack of dawn and hadn't even planned to make any ADRs today. 180 days from today we'll be checking in at Vistana (hopefully). We might go to Animal Kingdom for a while but will spend most of the day driving to Orlando and getting settled in.

While the boys were getting ready for school I asked Alex,

"You are OK with us skipping Chef Mickey's next time if we can get yummy chicken nuggets somewhere else, right?"

He says, "Um... OK - but it's my favorite restaurant at Disney."

I say, "But just for the chicken, right? And we can get that at other restaurants."

He says, "Yes - but I really like the people there too!" :headache:

I thought it was all about the chicken... but apparently the "people" count too... so we'll be spending $34 for Alex to eat chicken nuggets with Mickey & friends. :sad2:

It was already about 8:00 so I jumped online (in the middle of getting the kids ready for school - luckily Tim is home this morning) and grabbed an ADR for Sunday night 2/27 at 5:45pm.

We will either be checking in at Vistana then heading to AK followed by Chef Mickeys or heading to AK first thing when we arrive in Orlando, then taking a break to check in, then heading to Chef Mickey's for dinner. A little more running around than we like to do on arrival day, but I think it's the best night for Chef Mickey's since I had already worked out all of our other ADRs.

I have one other night that might work for Chef Mickey's but I'll have to work on the schedule a little more tonight & let you all know as the week progresses.

Up next: Day 2 of ADRs... Epcot! And a possible snag with my Le Cellier plans...

Hi Amy!:wave2: Catching up again!:goodvibes

YAY!!:yay::yay: So happy the boys had a great first day of school!! Your pictures turned out so cute!:)

Looks like you had a lot of fun at the lake...even though the weather wasn't the best.:thumbsup2

As far as Fantasmic goes....we did the 1st showing and it was a lot of waiting before and was so crowded on the way out. But, we wanted to get back to the hotel early since we had an early morning the next day otherwise we may have tried the 2nd one.:confused3 The one thing I did notice though and remember commenting to DH about was that at least before the 1st show we were able to sit down and wait...for the 2nd showing we saw people lined up all down Sunset Blvd. waiting to get in and this was after we had rode TOT and did a little shopping...maybe around 9:30pm and the show was supposed to start at 10:00pm. But it very crowded that night. (spring break) I'm sure it will be much less crowded when you go next month.:goodvibes

Oh..almost forgot! I'll dance for one month!:dance3:

Just noticed a new post before I replied;)...Glad you were able to get your first ADR!:thumbsup2 We skipped Chef Mickey's on our last trip (for the first time) and the boys have already made a point to tell me that they really missed it and want to make sure we go next time. So..I guess no skipping for us anymore either.;)

Was that a short sleeved shirt on Alex??? Has he turned a corner in that dept? Very handsome by the way.

Way to cave Mom about Chef Mickeys ! :rotfl2: I'd keep the first day ADR unless you think that if you plan it for later in the week than you possbility skip it.

Hi Angie! That's a great point about sitting down while we wait for the first showing of Fantasmic, versus standing to wait for the second show! Originally we had planned to grab some snacks and a seat... waiting without the kids will be so easy! But I'd definitely rather sit than stand. I think I've mentioned my standing/fanting issues... :rolleyes1 More food for thought! Thanks!

Hope your boys have a great start to the school year!

Yes Maam! It was an eleventh hour decision... We were at Old Navy on Sunday trying to find him a "handsome shirt" like Zach! ;) He ripped it off as soon as he got home declaring that it was much too hot for short sleeves! And he wore a tank top today.

I know... After my tummy issues last time I'm not too excited to return to Chef Mickey's... but if I can get them to sit through a dinner at Le Cellier, I can deal with Chef Mickeys. Luckily Teppan Edo is still Zach's favorite. :thumbsup2
