...my Frozen Dessert Party reservations.

I've been reading lots of so-so and bad reviews of the desserts. Is having a seat under the lights worth $90 pp? We have a FP+ for the show. Is there ANY reason for me to keep them?

What kind of dessert is worth $90 per person?

You can attend the Hoop Dee Doo Revue Dinner Show for about $60 pp, and have a full meal and a complete show.

There's no reason that I can see that makes the $90/pp price tag worth it.

In our experience, the best way to see the lights is walking around. I could never see myself sending $90 per person (3 of us = $270!! NEVER) just for a cupcake and a chair. If you are having doubts, cancel. :goodvibes

IMO, this package is the biggest ripoff Disney has thought up to date, and this is coming from someone who did the Frozen premium package this summer. We'll be at Disney next month, and we're not doing this package. You're essentially getting a dessert party for an event that by all accounts is best experienced by walking around. I couldn't justify paying that much for a dessert party when the Wishes dessert party is less than $30/adult.

For that price not even any meet & greets :faint: Not something I would do. Like Robo said HDDR much better value, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ can be fun too...still not $90. full meal free beer & sangria and characters.

Have you seen photos of the Dessert area? You'll be sitting under the strands of lighted angels across the Street from a lighted street section. If you aren't in line early enough to choose a choice table, you could end up next to a wall with a blocked $90 view.

You could have a 3-course meal at HBD and then walk around the Lights at your leisure for less than $90.

I'm sure Bob Iger would appreciate your donation to further lining his golden parachute.

All these upcharges have me thinking in ways, I never thought before. $90 per person, or make your own party by going into Starring Rolls/candy place by Villains shop and telling the family, "get everything and anything you want." I'm sure the latter is cheaper, and would make kids eyes bug out more. ANYTHING!

I fully expect to see the "P.T. Barnum Egress Experience." For an additional $40 per person, you get "express egress" during crowded days at the MK.

If only he would just pull the ripcord...

IMO there is absolutely nothing to justify this ridiculous price tag. As other posters have mentioned, think of all the other things you could do for *less* than this "experience," such as HDDR, CRT, and just about any signature restaurant on property. Not even a close call.

I am joining the "I don't get this AT ALL!" group. For less than that, you can get more of a Frozen experience by purchasing tickets to MVMCP - see the castle lighting, see them in the parade, etc. The DHS event is a complete and utter rip-off.

I have made reservations twice and cancelled twice. You can get the desserts elsewhere, the lights are best when you walk through them, the time does not allow you to view Fantasmic, we don't drink. What if it rains? We fped the Singalong. I MIGHT have kept the reservations IF they had had some character m&gs.

I had booked this for early December when they first announced it figuring I'd wait and see the reviews and photos for the event. I was sort of hoping they'd add a meet and greet or maybe even preferred seating for the 8pm Fantasmic show to maybe make it worth it. They haven't. I cancelled last week.

After seeing the pin and lithograph on ebay (not really impressed), seeing what they offered in the way of desserts and drinks, and seeing where the seating is --- I just couldn't justify the cost of the party for what it offers.

We're doing the dessert parties at MK and Epcot and feel that they represent a better value for us for far less money.

Thank you! Every opinion offered has just confirmed / reinforced what I've been thinking. I think I've known I was going to cancel, but just needed to "hear" the reasons.

I'm curious because like other people are saying, I just don't see how this party can be worth the $. Can anyone link me to any reviews for this event? I did a quick google search and came up empty. Wasn't sure if that was my keywords or if none have happened yet.
