So sorry that you can't make it Terri - have I missed something or are you still hoping to join us on the Saturday?

I am really looking forward to this weekend. Nat and I were saying on Monday that we really need a couple of days away from kids and husbands ;)

And goodness knows I could do with a break from all the testosterone in my house!!! It's been a manly summer so this girly interlude is just what I need... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

SHOE CRISIS ALERT!!! Thought I was sorted in the footwear department until one of my dogs trod heavily on my right big toe (dodgy at the best of times) and gave it a proper crunching - OUCH!!! Anyway, it's now so painful I need to wear something that won't press on it all and so far Disney crocs are the only things doing the trick!!! :scared1: I thought peep toe shoes would be OK but mine put pressure right at the point of impact so they're off the menu. :sad2: Wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed I find something more suitable than flowery wellies... :rolleyes:

Oh, poor you. That sounds horrible. I hope that your toe will be feel better by the weekend and that you find suitable shoes.

Thanks Corinna, it's a proper nuisance. I had an issue with this very toe earlier in the year as the nail decided to lift (I have psoriasis underneath it) but I thought it had calmed down. I need something round-toed with plenty of room at the end... Like these, perhaps...? ;)

lol nothing wrong with crocs x
No, absolutely not! Just don't think my closed toe khaki Disney ones will look good on the dance floor... :rolleyes:

I now have this vision, Karen, of you in a posh dress all glammed up and wearing Disney crocs :lmao:

I think stick with the Crocs :rotfl:

With Minnie bedsocks for added toe protection!!! It may come to that... :rotfl2:
The only question is - do I have a matching handbag??? :rotfl: :rolleyes1

Joking aside, would something like Birkis work. Their straps are further down the foot and not over the toes and some of those styles look pretty smart.

It needs some protection, Corinna - I'm thinking closed toe will be best...

I do have some quite funky ankle boots that are fairly generous at the front - just haven't tried them on yet. I'm also optimistic my DD will have something suitable as she's a size bigger than me so her shoes are roomier - I knew she'd be useful eventually... :thumbsup2 :lmao: ;)

Ouch !! I hope your toe is better soon Karen :hug:

I'm struggling in the shoe department too. I can't wear heels anymore as they kill my knees (old fogey alert :eek:). It will be wedge sandals on Friday night under my trousers, but I really don't know what to wear with my dress on Saturday night - you may see me wearing slippers while we walk to the different venues, and then I'll slip my strappy shoes on when we get there - really, I'm not joking ;)

yes still on sat as long as baby is ok.x

Nice one Terri :thumbsup2

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

At least my slippers will look inconspicuous against those :rotfl::rotfl:

::yes:: ::yes::

wow u lot r beginning to worry me, my idea of glam is my black crocs and i dont own a dress:rotfl::rotfl:

Lovely shoes Nat, my knee has gone into spasm just looking at them :rotfl::rotfl:

Mine too. I don't do heels unless I know I'm only going to be walking 200 yards!

Sorry to hear about your toe, Karen. Hope it's improved by the weekend.
