Girls Trip One More Time...Final Plans, The End 5/23

Okay, that was the fastest annual check-up ever...NOT! They screwed up. They gave me a card and wrote 12:45 and the appointment was actually at 11:45. :crazy2: So I had to reschedule. Back to replies.

I have yet to even look at the FP+ tiering for any of the parks, and I still need to research how it needs to be done - whether I can do it for all of us (BFF and her dd included) - or if she needs to do it on her own? <------ Sorry - just typing out loud. YOu don't need to answer. LOL If they are your "friends" on my Disney Ex you can make them for everyone. I made all of Kathy's-Mary says with an evil laugh

Yes, this is VERY scary having my stuff in your hands. But I could go and change them if I wanted too! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Ah, AK the park that always feels 20 degrees hotter than it actually is....And the humidity-enuf to drive this Az girl over the edge. But my Avery loves it so there. She will sit in front of the vet window at Rafiki's for hours. We love the Yak and Yeti-so yummy!! I put Kali as our last fp item so if we get soaked we wont have to walk around all day in wet clothes. Just shiver on the bu ride back to OKW. The Nemo show is super cute and the place I witnessed the most quiet tour group I have ever seen. You can't help but love that show.

And I feel like the Studios is worse; I guess it depends on the day. I'll bring extra rain ponches for Kali! :)

Love AK, plans look good for your lunch and FP+ good call on doing Kali last.... I always get soaked on it !

Yes, Kali definitely has to be last!

Animal Kingdom on the 31st! That's the same day that we'll be there! We have safari, Expedition and Dinosaur Fastpasses but I'm not too sure that we'll be able to use the Dino once since we have a dinner ADR that night.

That is great, Lisa! Maybe we can talk and see if we can coordinate our FP+ times for at least one of the rides.

As always, loving the pictures that you chose for the update. They have grown up so much but are still cutie pies.

Thanks, Lisa.

YAY for an AK day!

Love me some AK!

It sounds fun all around and the night back at OKW...dinner by the pool...that sounds pretty darn good too.

The more I think about it the more I like dinner and adult beverages at the pool.

I love Nemo, definitely see if if you can.

We have the FP+ for it so I am sure we will do it.

Sounds like a great day! You guys are going to have a ball!

Thanks, Queen. It's always a good time with those girls!

Finally back to the DIS and joining in! All of your plans so far look great!

We've missed you; hope all is okay.

I might have to borrow some tips and ideas because my friend Kimmie and I are planning a girls trip sometime in the future depending on how much we can save and what kind of deals we can find closer to our travel time (not until sometime in 2015 right now).

We would be glad to help!

Day 2 plans sound great!!

Thanks, Linda.

No EE?! :faint: I love that ride! I'd ride it with Avery!! ;)

Nope; don't like it, Rock & Roll OR Space Mountain. I will give them Space Mountain once a trip and EE once a trip; but definitely NO R&R.

I have no issue, however, with your skipping the Hurl!!! No issue at all!!

After my last ride on it, I couldn't possibly do it again.

The Nemo show is so beautiful. The colors and the way the actors move their "puppets" around are just amazing.

I remember the colors being so beautiful.

Kali?!!! Must wear poncho!!! My only sound advice for you. I was the backwards facing recipient of that ride. Had to go to the nearest washroom, take clothing off and wring it out. Walked around in wet undies all afternoon. :headache: They need a giant people dryer when you get off that ride. ::yes::

Yes...definitely having Mark get us extra ponchos.

Jungle Cruise skipper! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: if she wants to work at Disney. :) I think she wants to be a bet.

Poor Avery. I'll ride Everest with her as many times as she wants! :rotfl2:

Sorry...but you weren't invited because you aren't a girl. :)

Just don't blink. You'll miss the entire ride. :rolleyes1

That is true!

Crazy week, but all caught up. Your first two days look like so much fun! After your last TR and seeing how much fun you all had at AK, I am hoping that we can have that much fun on our day there, since it was not a fun park for us when went the first time!

I hope you enjoy AK better this time around; we really love it.

After your review of Yak & Yeti, I scheduled a late lunch there. Yummo!

Yay! I hope you like it as much as we do.

Less than two months and we can both get out of the city where winter never ends! :beach:

Ain't that the truth. I think perhaps that Spring may have finally gotten here to stay.

Hi Kathy! Any day that involves a safari, Nemo the Musical and Yak &Yeti is a good day in my book! (Although I would probably do at least 1 ride on EE!)

Thanks, Brenda. I'd rather ride Tower of Terror nonstop than to do EE!

I haven't done Kali RR in years. I'm saving it for a really hot day at AK - it never seems to be that bad through! :lmao: Honestly, I don't know why we've never returned other than I don't like to walk around being soggy but put it in the middle of the day and I'm sure you won't stay wet long.

Hmmmm...me thinks that the way you leave the park when it rains that Kali isn't in your near future. ;)

Dinner by the pool sounds like a great way to end the day. I vote for that option. :)

I'm liking the idea more and more myself.

Great plans for AK day! Yum, Yak & Yeti lunch. I don't blame you for not doing Primeval Hurl, I won't do that one either :rotfl:

Thanks; love Yak & Yeti. I literally thought I would lose whatever was in my stomach the last time I did THE Hurl.

I keep forgetting about FOTLK being closed. Nemo is a good show though, but I bet they are finding their audiences even bigger lately!
Kali is my frienemy. I love it, but it soaks me every single time! Lol

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Yes, I don't think it is rescheduled to open until a few weeks after we are there. I am sure they are unless the bird show is pulling them in. Definitely Ponchos!

Looking good for day #2!!!!

Thanks, Tim.

I love AK but I think we are skipping it in Sept. unless we fit it in on our departure day. :confused3

Well, it is a shorter trip for you.

ummm…. I wouldn't know. Can you believe I've never been on it. :sad2:

NEVER??????????????

Great plans for day 2!! I love AK. :goodvibes

Thanks, Ann.

Lovely day 2 plans! Even though there aren't a lot of rides that I'm crazy about there, there is still so much to see and do. I bet the girls love Rafiki's planet watch, I can't wait to visit it myself on our next trip.

I agree; and, at our age, we appreciate the stuff to see almost more than the rides (although we still have our favorite rides).

oh NOOOOOOOOO I am SO sorry to hear that!!! Furnaces are expensive!

Unfortunately we have been "buying" time the last couple of years with it so it wasn't totally unexpected. We could have hoped to keep the air conditioner one more year but figured might as well get it all out of the way at once.

I will keep Mark in my prayers!!!

Thanks.

Day 2 sounds great. I don't know why but I have weird dreams about eating at Y&Y. Not bad dream, just weird. Like trying to squeeze it in before having to be at work, kind of weird. Love the picture of the Pot Stickers. We might have to try them. (I normally get the egg rolls.)

That's funny that you have weird dreams. LOVE their pot stickers.

Wish I could take Avery on EE. It is one of my favorites.

I enjoyed it until I got old. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

A relaxing night at the pool for dinner sounds like a great way to end the day.

Me too!

Will say a prayer for Mark tomorrow!

Thank you.

Ugh on the HVAC. It just never happens at a good time.

Nope it doesn't (and we just replaced the water heater last year. :(

pixiedust: for Mark and his gallbladder surgery. Hope all goes smooth and without incident.

Thanks, Pat.

How is Markie doing with his shoulder?

He's doing great. He goes for his next appointment on the 28th of this month and if all looks good he can get back on the wrestling mat. I guess his youth helped with the healing.

Sorry about your hvac :(

Thanks Lisa.

Prayers and pixie dust heading Mark's way.

Thank you very much.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the furnace/air; this year the weather has put those systems to the test big time. :(

And thej fact that ours were almost 22 years old. :faint:

Thoughts and prayers going out to Mark today for a successful surgery and a very quick and complete recovery. :)

Thank you.

Ouch on the furnace/AC!

Yes, not exactly what I wanted to do with that money. The perils of being a homeowner.

Best wishes to Mark for his surgery today!

Thanks.

boo!!!!! that's rough......:(

Not one of the most pleasant things we've had to do.

Good luck to Mark (and to you!!!!) I know he will feel much better with that gallbladder out though! :goodvibes

Thank you!

Kathy, sounds like your week is kinda crazy. I hope all goes well with Mark today..

Thanks, Ann.

Hi Kathy

Hi Linda.

Just been playing catch up
Hope all is well with Mark

He's doing great; thank you.[/COLOR

Shames we can't hook up this trip but we are flying in and heading off on a cruise on May 31st. We are staying at OKW when we return so we will just miss each other :(

Again we miss you. :( One of these days we will meet up!

I'm glad the surgery went well. Thoughts and prayers for a smooth recovery.

Thanks; on a scale of 1-10 his pain level was at a 4 when we left the hospital. Last night when he went to bed, he was at a 1-1/2. Today he said he is at a 1. So I think one more day of pain pills or two days and he'll be good as new. I think he wants to try something more than soup for dinner tonight too.

Best wishes that Mark feels better soon and I hope he does as well as I did with my gallbladder. A ministry colleague came to see me as I was getting ready to leave the hospital and he said I looked much better than I had in months! I went home and had my brother go get us take out from Cracker Barrel and ate without pain!!

Thanks; he is feeling really good. Hopefully he'll be able to eat a good Easter dinner on Sunday.

Your plans for both the MK day and Animal Kingdom look great. Finding Nemo is on my list of things to do on my next trip. In greater than 10 trips to WDW, I have never seen Nemo!!

It took us a very long time before we finally saw Nemo too. I really hope you see it on your next trip.

Looking forward to hearing more.

Thanks.

Glad surgery went well. Hope for a fast recovery! Thinking this is the worse hat picture of Mark yet. He should really stick with Disney hats.;)

Thank you. When I posted on FB yesterday, Nicki asked "where's the hat?" Then they came and put that thing on him and I posted that. If there is ever a next time (and let's hope there isn't), we'll bring our own hat. :)

I'm here finally, now to go back & try to catch up!

Doris, I'm so happy you were here. I've missed you friend.

Another tip when ride the Rapids, don't wear white clothing, seriously!

Thanks; I'll be sure NOT to wear white that day...thank you for the tip.

Your plans all sound good. I would love an all girls trip, but DH would gripe cause he couldn't go along.

I'm really surprised mine hasn't; maybe it's because he really loves umpping baseball and he needs a break from me. ;)

Hope Mark is recovering well!!!

He's doing great; he just called to tell me that the guy is there to install the furnace and air conditioner.

Stop in and wish your family a very Happy Easter!

easter_disney_1 by mofoto1, on Flickr

Thanks, Mo. I hope you have a great Easter with your family too.

Hoping Mark is not feeling too bad today. Continued prayers and good thoughts for a smooth recovery.

He's doing great! Hoping he feels 100% by tomorrow (while he is babysitting Rolo while we are all out for the day) or Sunday at the latest.

Yes, ditto this :flower3:

Thanks, Jeanette.

Unfortunately there is NO August trip to the US this summer. :scared1: We are doing a 12 night Med cruise to the Greek isles on the Disney Magic, have 4 days in Barcelona and then head to DLRP for 10 days.

We will be back to WDW (and a Western Caribbean cruise on the Magic) in March for Tom's 50th, but it will only leave us 2 half days to visit the parks and we want to do as much F&G (and food) as possible.

Yak and Yeti goes on the summer 2015 list - two weeks on the Fantasy and two park weeks - I guess I might be able to make it happen. ;)

Wow...you have a lot of great trips planned...I am very jealous.

Okay, I'm going to get this update done while I have the time. Then tonight I hope to catch up on the majority of my threads again...depends on if Rolo will let me (we are watching Rolo tonight while kids stay at hotel with wrestlers that came in from Dubuque and then we are at wrestling all day tomorrow and then dinner with the kids and then Sunday is Easter).

We are on Day 3 of the trip -- Sunday, June 1. This is one of our days here:

Our first FP+ selection this day is for:

From there, we will head over to

We have a lunch ADR here:

I don't think Mary and the girls and I have eaten here (Mary, correct me if I'm wrong). Mark and I love it here so I'm really looking forward to it.

After lunch, we will head back to Future World for our last FP+ selection here:

I'm sure we will do The Land while here as well as Figment.

Depending on what time it is, maybe I can convince Mary of a little "nap" and we can go here:

We will then take the monorail to the TTC and switch to the resort monorail as we are having dinner (first time for me), here:

We then plan on hitting the MK for Extra Magic Hours. Girls...you best be ready...no "I'm tired at 10:00 p.m.!"

Some pictures from previous trips with the girls at Epcot:

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter with their loved ones.

Plans look great!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend! Hope Mark continues to heal quickly.

Jill in CO

Thank you, Jill. I talked to him a while ago and he says he feels good.

Did you start your TR?

Not yet...hoping I can get to it this weekend. I'm finally catching up after the back to back trips and being sick.

Jill in CO

Hope you are feeling better; and I'm glad I didn't miss it.

Thanks! I caught a cold in CA and it just drug on forever and 2 airplane take off and landings didn't help.

I will send you a bat signal when I get it started.

Jill in CO

Kathy, I love your plans for June 1st at Epcot and then the MK in the evening. While this is your third day in WDW and visiting my favorite two parks, we will be arriving around noon for our first day and will be spending some time at the MK that evening. You never know, our paths may cross before later in that week. I will leave that park nameless since you have not mentioned it yet in your TR.

P.S. Thoughts and prayers still going out to Mark as he recovers. Have a happy and blessed Easter in the KatMark household. :goodvibes

***Edit*** I just realized it's not the 1st we are arriving but instead it is the 2nd. Bummer... I guess I'm just getting too excited for WDW. LOL

Looks like a great day at Epcot with some yummy food thrown in. Is there a drink in there in France that I missed? ;)

Hope Mark recovers quickly.

Happy Easter! :goodvibes

Thanks! I caught a cold in CA and it just drug on forever and 2 airplane take off and landings didn't help.

I will send you a bat signal when I get it started.

Jill in CO

Jill, could you send me a signal too? I'd love to read all about your trips. :goodvibes

The plans for the day sound good Kathy! Will you be spending time in the World Showcase this day or just heading there for lunch?

Kona is a good way to transition from Epcot to MK!

Thanks! I caught a cold in CA and it just drug on forever and 2 airplane take off and landings didn't help.

I will send you a bat signal when I get it started.

Jill in CO

Can I get a bat signal as well? I don't think I've ever seen a report of yours!

Horrid internet at hospital today. Surgery delayed, but done in an hour. I should see Mark soon and we should be going home in 2 hours. Mark says thanks for all the good wishes.

See even in surgery Mark is wearing a HAT:rotfl2: Seriously hope recovery goes well. I just had a new furnace put in and the same week my washer died :sad1::sad1:Talk about an expensive week :crazy2:

Kathy, I WILL get to AK this summer. I am gonna hit rope drop and go until the heat cooks us!

And Epcot!!! YAY LOVE it..Grey Goose slushies:cool1:

Here's a gentle  for you and Mark

Glad Mark is almost back to his hat wearing self. :goodvibes

Plans look great

Happy to hear Mark is feeling better and on the mend! Hope he can enjoy a great Easter dinner!

Good plans! I hope by the time I go back, they get rid of the tiers for FP+ so I can ride my two faves in Epcot - TT and Soarin on the same day!

Happy mark is feeling better! Wishing you all a happy Easter!

Your day looks fun! Yummy food and two parks = magic

Everything is fine, just busy. We had the convention at the beginning of the month and some behavior issues with Ian after we got home (I think a long weekend with Grandma spoiled them a little bit), and I was so far behind that it took me forever to catch up.

I'm glad that Mark's pain level dropped so quickly after surgery. My experience was very similar when I had mine removed 3 years ago. Though it was funny that they kept mentioning weight restrictions and to not carry anything over 20lbs - Ian was 9 months old at the time and weighed about 20lbs! I had no choice but to carry him because he wasn't even crawling yet back then.
