Girls Trip One More Time...Final Plans, The End 5/23

I am not ignoring my responses, it's just been a really busy week at work and last night we found out that our furnace/air conditioner needed replacing. Yep $8500 out the window.

I will try to get to responses today and, if not, I will do tomorrow while I am at the hospital during Mark's surgery.

oh NOOOOOOOOO I am SO sorry to hear that!!! Furnaces are expensive!

I will keep Mark in my prayers!!!

Day 2 sounds great. I don't know why but I have weird dreams about eating at Y&Y. Not bad dream, just weird. Like trying to squeeze it in before having to be at work, kind of weird. Love the picture of the Pot Stickers. We might have to try them. (I normally get the egg rolls.)
Wish I could take Avery on EE. It is one of my favorites.
A relaxing night at the pool for dinner sounds like a great way to end the day.
Will say a prayer for Mark tomorrow!

Ugh on the HVAC. It just never happens at a good time.

pixiedust: for Mark and his gallbladder surgery. Hope all goes smooth and without incident.

How is Markie doing with his shoulder?

Sorry about your hvac :(

Prayers and pixie dust heading Mark's way.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the furnace/air; this year the weather has put those systems to the test big time. :(

Thoughts and prayers going out to Mark today for a successful surgery and a very quick and complete recovery. :)

Ouch on the furnace/AC!

Best wishes to Mark for his surgery today!

boo!!!!! that's rough......:(

Good luck to Mark (and to you!!!!) I know he will feel much better with that gallbladder out though! :goodvibes

Horrid internet at hospital today. Surgery delayed, but done in an hour. I should see Mark soon and we should be going home in 2 hours. Mark says thanks for all the good wishes.

Hi Kathy
Just been playing catch up
Hope all is well with Mark
Shames we can't hook up this trip but we are flying in and heading off on a cruise on May 31st. We are staying at OKW when we return so we will just miss each other :(

Best wishes that Mark feels better soon and I hope he does as well as I did with my gallbladder. A ministry colleague came to see me as I was getting ready to leave the hospital and he said I looked much better than I had in months! I went home and had my brother go get us take out from Cracker Barrel and ate without pain!!

Your plans for both the MK day and Animal Kingdom look great. Finding Nemo is on my list of things to do on my next trip. In greater than 10 trips to WDW, I have never seen Nemo!!

Looking forward to hearing more.

Glad surgery went well. Hope for a fast recovery! Thinking this is the worse hat picture of Mark yet. He should really stick with Disney hats.;)

Another tip when ride the Rapids, don't wear white clothing, seriously!

Your plans all sound good. I would love an all girls trip, but DH would gripe cause he couldn't go along.

Hoping Mark is not feeling too bad today. Continued prayers and good thoughts for a smooth recovery.

I'm with you, I'm typically one of the firsts ones up because I take the longest to get ready.

Yes, me too. Hair, make-up, outfit...I know you understand.

Mmmm, we have a Liberty Tree Tavern lunch scheduled, I'm so excited! Mostly for the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake....and maybe some food. Sure. Some food. :lmao:

You could just eat a "little" food. :)

Day two plans sounds great. :thumbsup2 Some downtime at the pool sounds good to me!

Thank you; I like the idea of spending time at the pool (with an adult beverage of course).

In regards to your plans on day 2 at the Animal Kingdom, in the words of the 70's tv character, Chico, played by the late Freddie Prinze (yes I'm that old to remember), "Loo-king good" :thumbsup2 :lmao:

I remember that show. Lord, I'm showing my age.

The first time I was in AK, it was my least favorite park which happened to have my favorite ride, EE. With time it grew on me and now it is no longer a 1/2 day park but instead an all day excursion for me. I love the detail of the park and the animals help to slow things down a bit and just relax and enjoy without rushing.

It truly has become one of our favorites.

Love your plans to have lunch at the Yak & Yeti. I do recall it was a certain DIS friend who pursuaded me to try Y & Y a few months ago (Thank you Kathy). We also have an ADR for Yak & Yeti in June and am looking forward to it. :goodvibes

You are MOST welcome Bob.

As for the AK hours. According to the WDW website the hours are listed 9-8 with EMH 8:00AM.

Looking forward to the rest of your TR. :thumbsup2

Thank you.

Day 2 plans sound really good!

Thanks, Karin.

There is such a lot to see and do there. That park is one that really has grown on us.

It certainly has grown on Mark and I.

:thumbsup2 on your lunch at Y&Y. Wish we could have fit it in in February, but time was running out on us. ;)

I really enjoy Yak & Yeti; perhaps you can fit it in on the August trip. Is there an August trip?

More great plans.

Thanks, MaryEllen.

The girls look so adorable in those pictures. You can really see how much they have grown recently.

Scary isn't it? I can't believe how much they've grown since we met them.

LOVE Nemo! I hope you really enjoy your second viewing of it!

I can't wait to see it again.

What NO Front EE today???? :rotfl2:

Nope; no ride on EE at all on this day. :rotfl2:

We love AK! And it sounds like you have a great plan.

Thanks, D.

I have yet to even look at the FP+ tiering for any of the parks, and I still need to research how it needs to be done - whether I can do it for all of us (BFF and her dd included) - or if she needs to do it on her own? <------ Sorry - just typing out loud. YOu don't need to answer. LOL

No worries; if I remember correctly someone down below answered for me. :)

SOunds like a great day to get back to the resort early to swim! I love early days like that!

D~

I think it will be a great day to do it, and hope to find another day too as this is a long trip for us.

I really have to get my butt back to AK this summer...more great plans (and pics) :thumbsup2

Yes you do! That is an order. ;)

Great plans!!!

Thanks, Mo.

ohhh an animal lover!!! I love this girl already!!!

I thought you would. :)

I've always been a fan of AK. I think the Safari is just awesome!

I wasn't always a fan as my kids didn't love it (they didn't have half the stuff they do now) and they would whine. But I really do love it. And I'm with you...the safari is awesome (as long as I stay out of the back row).

YnY is a good place for a meal. I've convinced Brenda to make it more of a "snacks" time so we can have Brunch at Tusker House on the same day... can we say STUFFED!

That's probably a very good idea becuase you can certainly fill up at Tusker House.

Your plans sound good! and I won't be getting on EE either!!

I'm glad there is someone besides me who doesn't like EE!

I'll finish replies later. I'm off to have my annual check-up which I am 18 months overdue on. :guilty:

I really enjoy Yak & Yeti; perhaps you can fit it in on the August trip. Is there an August trip?

Unfortunately there is NO August trip to the US this summer. :scared1: We are doing a 12 night Med cruise to the Greek isles on the Disney Magic, have 4 days in Barcelona and then head to DLRP for 10 days.

We will be back to WDW (and a Western Caribbean cruise on the Magic) in March for Tom's 50th, but it will only leave us 2 half days to visit the parks and we want to do as much F&G (and food) as possible.

Yak and Yeti goes on the summer 2015 list - two weeks on the Fantasy and two park weeks - I guess I might be able to make it happen. ;)
