Girls Trip One More Time...Final Plans, The End 5/23

Happy Easter, Kathy and Mark! Hope Mark is feeling 100% in no time.
Love the Epcot plans! And the meals and ending at MK too, a great day for sure! Hehehe we always use Ellen as nap time too. It's just so nice to get off your feet for so long!

Danielle posted the following on my TR a few days ago

Mmmm, Chefs de France, good choice! It's been on our list a few times recently, but somehow it comes off. Need to get back there. Maybe November.....hmmmmm.

Yum Kona! Okay, I just posted about that on my July TR. I know you're a coffee fan, but if you're a pork fan too, I recommend the coffee rubbed pork loin. I got that. OMG it was amazing!

Glad that everything with Mark's surgery went well. :goodvibes

Sorry it took me a few days to get it posted over here.

Your Day 3 plans look great. I love those pictures of the girls when they were young. They are just growing like weeds these days. So cute.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great Easter!

See!!! That's what happens when I reply using two windows!!!!! SMH.

I hope that Mark has a quick recovery and is back in hat wearing mode soon! And I hope that you had a wonderful Easter!

Day 3 plans look like a wonderful day at Epcot. The girls sure are growing quickly from the looks of those pictures!

How's Mark getting along since his surgery? Hope it has helped him! :thumbsup2

Depending on what time it is, maybe I can convince Mary of a little "nap" and we can go here
You know... if I go back to the room during the day, I just can't nap. But if I go in there, I'm out like a light. :rotfl2: :lmao:

We then plan on hitting the MK for Extra Magic Hours. Girls...you best be ready...no "I'm tired at 10:00 p.m.!"
That goes for you too, Kathy!!!

Kathy, I love your plans for June 1st at Epcot and then the MK in the evening. While this is your third day in WDW and visiting my favorite two parks, we will be arriving around noon for our first day and will be spending some time at the MK that evening. You never know, our paths may cross before later in that week. I will leave that park nameless since you have not mentioned it yet in your TR.

Be sure to stop us if you see us.

P.S. Thoughts and prayers still going out to Mark as he recovers. Have a happy and blessed Easter in the KatMark household. :goodvibes

Thanks, we had a very nice Easter with the kids. Mark is doing better...thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

***Edit*** I just realized it's not the 1st we are arriving but instead it is the 2nd. Bummer... I guess I'm just getting too excited for WDW. LOL

Well, at least we know we have one day we will meet later in the trip.

Looks like a great day at Epcot with some yummy food thrown in. Is there a drink in there in France that I missed? ;)

Oh my...how could I forget my slush? ;)

Hope Mark recovers quickly.

He's doing well.

Happy Easter! :goodvibes

Thanks, Karin; we had a lovely Easter. I hope you did too.

The plans for the day sound good Kathy! Will you be spending time in the World Showcase this day or just heading there for lunch?

Paula, I'm not sure. I suppose how much we get done before we need to head to the Poly for our dinner at Kona.

Kona is a good way to transition from Epcot to MK!

I've never been and am looking forward to it. Everyone seems to rave about the pork chop.

Can I get a bat signal as well? I don't think I've ever seen a report of yours!

I've not gotten one yet so I'm assuming Jill hasn't started yet.

See even in surgery Mark is wearing a HAT:rotfl2: Seriously hope recovery goes well. I just had a new furnace put in and the same week my washer died :sad1::sad1:Talk about an expensive week :crazy2:

I don't think he had a choice on the hat, Rosie. ;) He's doing a lot better. I did just find out today that we are getting about an $800 rebate which helps take a little of the pain out.

Your plans sound great !! I haven't been to Chef's in a while but I like it !!!

I LOVE Chefs; can't wait to have the onion soup.

Kathy, I WILL get to AK this summer. I am gonna
hit rope drop and go until the heat cooks us!

Good girl!

And Epcot!!! YAY LOVE it..Grey Goose slushies:cool1:

I'll take the Grand Mariner slushie myself.

Here's a gentle  for you and Mark

Thank you, Jeanette.

Glad Mark is almost back to his hat wearing self. :goodvibes

Me too!

Plans look great

Thanks, Pat.

Happy to hear Mark is feeling better and on the mend! Hope he can enjoy a great Easter dinner!

Sheree, thank you. He had some dinner, but he didn't eat as much as he normally does.

Good plans! I hope by the time I go back, they get rid of the tiers for FP+ so I can ride my two faves in Epcot - TT and Soarin on the same day!

I hope those extra FP come through by the time we go; I'm not so concerned about the tiering at Epcot because we don't care for Test Track.

Happy mark is feeling better! Wishing you all a happy Easter!

Thanks, Lisa. I hope you and Megan had a good easter.

Your day looks fun! Yummy food and two parks = magic

I am looking forward to doing a split with Epcot and MK (Mark and I usually do it the other way around--MK and then Epcot.).

Everything is fine, just busy. We had the convention at the beginning of the month and some behavior issues with Ian after we got home (I think a long weekend with Grandma spoiled them a little bit), and I was so far behind that it took me forever to catch up.

Good to know everything is okay.

I'm glad that Mark's pain level dropped so quickly after surgery. My experience was very similar when I had mine removed 3 years ago. Though it was funny that they kept mentioning weight restrictions and to not carry anything over 20lbs - Ian was 9 months old at the time and weighed about 20lbs! I had no choice but to carry him because he wasn't even crawling yet back then.

Do you know they did not say a thing to Mark about weight restrictions. They wanted him climbing the stairs in our house as soon as he got home and told him he could go back to normal routine the next day.

Happy Easter, Kathy and Mark! Hope Mark is feeling 100% in no time.

Thanks, Wendy. I hope you and Johnny had a good Easter.

Love the Epcot plans! And the meals and ending at MK too, a great day for sure! Hehehe we always use Ellen as nap time too. It's just so nice to get off your feet for so long!

Thanks; I love the pre-show on Ellen and I don't even mind the ride all that much...but it could use an update and it truly is a great way to get off your feet for almost an hour.

Happy Easter Kathy and Mark!!!!

Thanks, Rosie. I hope you had a great one.

Maryellen, thanks for posting that.

"Mmmm, Chefs de France, good choice! It's been on our list a few times recently, but somehow it comes off. Need to get back there. Maybe November.....hmmmmm.

Danielle, I LOVE Chefs; I Hope you get it back on the list.

Yum Kona! Okay, I just posted about that on my July TR. I know you're a coffee fan, but if you're a pork fan too, I recommend the coffee rubbed pork loin. I got that. OMG it was amazing!

Am I a pork fan? You bet...90% of the meals I cook at home consist of pork. I think you sold me and that is what I will be ordering.

Glad that everything with Mark's surgery went well."

Thank you Danielle.

Sorry it took me a few days to get it posted over here.

No worries Maryellen.

Your Day 3 plans look great. I love those pictures of the girls when they were young. They are just growing like weeds these days. So cute.

As cute as they are now, they were just too frickin' adorable when they were younger.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great Easter!

We did; I hope you and your family had a good Easter too.

See!!! That's what happens when I reply using two windows!!!!! SMH.

I give you all the credit in the world for attempting it1

Hey - you were just trying to be efficient! Nothing wrong with that! :thumbsup2

Never anything wrong with that!

Hey Kathy! checking in.. How is Mark?

Doing great; thanks for asking.

Hope your Easter was PERFECT!

We had a great visit with the kids and Mark's dad.

I hope that Mark has a quick recovery and is back in hat wearing mode soon! And I hope that you had a wonderful Easter!

Thanks, Krysten. He did a baseball game tonight after work and said the pain is about 85% gone.

Day 3 plans look like a wonderful day at Epcot. The girls sure are growing quickly from the looks of those pictures!

Thank you; yes, they are growing too fast for my taste (and I'm sure it is hard on their mom seeing them grow so fast).

How's Mark getting along since his surgery?

Andy, he is doing great; thank you for asking.

Hope it has helped him! :thumbsup2

I don't know if it was the doctor saying he needed to lose weight (he said his liver looked a little "fatty" when he was in there) or he just has decided to cut back on his own, but he's not been eating as much as he usually does. He has had some things he had cut out prior to the surgery and it didn't bother him.

You know... if I go back to the room during the day, I just can't nap. But if I go in there, I'm out like a light. :rotfl2: :lmao:

That's how I usually am with Carrousel of Progress. ;)

That goes for you too, Kathy!!!

I'll be raring to go. :)

Before I get to Day 4 plans, Mary made a few changes to our FP+ selection for our first day of the trip -- Friday, May 30. Rather than Space, then Peter Pan and then Big Thunder, she got Big Thunder, Space Mountain, lunch break and then we will see Elsa and Anna. We originally had this on our last day, but Mary made it earlier in the trip when she was able to get a time (and I'm happy as I was afraid I was going to miss it on our last day if they were running late because I have to be back for the Unmagical Express).

Okay, so moving on.

We are up to Day 4 of the trip--Monday, June 2. And this means we are already at the halfway point of the trip. This day is going to be a bit more relaxed.

We will have breakfast in the room and then we are heading here:

Yes, we are going to hang at the pool in the morning...something we have never done.

After pool time and maybe some lunch at the pool, we will then go back to the room, dry off and change into our park clothes and head here:

Our first FP+ of the day is for my favorite ride and I know Miss Avery will be joining me, and I'm hoping Cayley will too.

Then we head over to our next FP

and our last FP+ is for

which I will most likely skip. I am sure we will try to get some of this in as well:

I also will be taking Avery to the Animation Studios and going to the drawing class while Mary takes Cayley somewhere else (maybe she'll take her to see some of the Star Wars stuff???).

We have a dinner ADR for this evening at Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic packgage. I've not been there since 2008 with Mark and am really looking forward to going back.

I've not looked at the park hours lately so don't remember what time Fantasmic is, but we may or may not have time to do anything after dinner.

A few pictures from our first girls trip at the Studios:

(Those were taken while Avery and I were riding TOT!).

Up next, you are taking me where? I've not been there in 14 years.

Yay for getting a earlier time for Elsa and Anna!

Your day 4 sounds great. Nice to relax by the pool in the morning! That pool was closed our entire stay in January. I am looking forward to some pool time there in the future, myself :goodvibes

Oh that's great that you guys got an earlier day and time for Anna and Elsa, that's one you wouldn't want to miss for sure!
I love the sound of the morning at the pool and then to DHS, we did the same this last trip and it was so relaxing!
Sounds like a good set of DHS plans to me, of course I'd swap out ToT for RnR ;)
I've yet to eat at Mama Melrose. It always makes the list and always gets cut! :lmao:

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Ohhhh I cannot wait to hear how your M&G for Ana and Elsa go!!! Pool down time sounds heavenly!! especially when i know yo will have some sort of drink.. :thumbsup2

the girls are just so adorable. excited to see how much they have grown since what a couple of months ago?? I am sure they grew a couple more inches! :rotfl:

Glad to hear Mark is on the mend, and doing good. Hope everything else is better too..

YAY for a happy easter!!!

Yay for some pool time! Looks like a fun day at DHS!

Happy mark us feeling better and you had a great Easter!
We had brunch with family and hung out!

First off, I am glad Mark's surgery went well and he is feeling better! Didn't we have such wonderful weather for Easter. I think you are right, maybe winter is finally over.

So glad you were able to move your E&A FP. It looks like they opened up a lot more time slots this week. We were able to move ours to a better time as well. I am now just hoping that the 7DMT opens up!

We will be overlapping a bit so far! We are heading over to MK EMH's on June 1 as well, after our first visit to Ohana and we have a Fantasmic package on June 2. We originally were booked at Mama Melrose, but when the Star Wars dining opened up we moved to H&V Fantasmic to see Jedi Mickey!

STudio day sounds great after your pool morning. We love Mama Melrose and we had the best waiter in Dec. I love the chicken parm.

First off, glad Mr Mark is doing so well!! Also glad your Easter was nice. Fun updates. Cayley looks so little in those pics. We have not eaten at Chefs-am excited to try it. Lots of down and pool time. I am getting to old for "comando" touring LOL. We also have not seen Fantasmic at WDW. Rained out x 3.

In other news, Avery has her final meet of the season on Sun. Big Regional Meet with girls from N Ca, S Ca, Nevada, Utah and Az. She had an outstanding State Meet and is excited. Ms Cayley also found out that she made the "official" T&T team. Has worked hard to get there and as far as I know is the youngest on the team. We are finishing up homeschooling for the year. Both girls are working a grade level ahead in LA and reading. Reviewing math-oh how I am not a fan of common core....

:sad:Btw good for Mark for cutting back and trying to lose weight.:thumbsup2 I am working with a nutritionist and I'm down 22 lbs, losing about a pound a week. Two big hints.. eat protein for breakfast and limit carbs. all day. It has Ben much easier than I thought. I told her I don't feel like I'm dieting, just learning to eat right. I already feel the difference. Of course this week I'm sick so I feel lousy:sad:
