I just booked my flights. Thanks to cyber monday I got a decent price for flights Seattle to Los Angeles. Not ideal airport to head into but the times were good. I have heard decent things about the airline so hopefully it will all work out. Now to figure out where I will be staying the night before or what time I will need to drive down....my flight leaves at 7 am out of Seattle! I would need to leave home around 3am or stay with a friend. Hmmm. Now to go check on meals.

I ended up finding a decent price/time from Seattle to Long Beach on Alaska for $55 each way (which is WAY cheaper than I had been seeing it, even earlier in the day!!!) I was thinking I may have to come down the day before to park and fly, so now I need to find a decent hotel that offers that..... Anyone have any experience with that??

I haven't really said anything here...I think I mentioned it on Facebook. Anyway, I won't be attending the trip. We are planning a family vacation next June to northern Michigan. I have relatives there, including my mom and grandparents, and we are going to go visit them, as well as play tourist.

It's going to be a long trip. About 3 weeks. We are taking the train there and back, which that alone will take almost 6 days round trip. Should be quite the adventure!!
But the combination of Ruben taking off such a large chunk of time, as well as the travel expenses, simply don't allow me to do both.

I am sad to miss out on seeing good friends and meeting new ones, of course. But I am excited about taking a nice, long family vacation back to the place where I am originally from, and to see family that I haven't seen since 2007.

Well, bummer! I must of missed it too! So sorry I won't get to finally meet you.... might be a good excuse for a Diva Vegas Trip!!

Not bad. Basically breaks down into $100 each way plus tax.

Is there still a Company D trip planned? If so , what day and time?

One more thing, when making the Carousel ressies what do we mention for the price?

I believe the Company D excursion was planned for Friday, after the PFF photo. I will PM Jill and see if that still stands.
As for the Carousel reservations, I'm not sure. Contact Capri, as I think she was the point person for that.

I read where you said the limo was the only option, just having a little fun with you. I've only had one short limo ride and thought it was pretty exciting.

Going to our annual ornament exchange tonight. Leaving tomorrow early in the morning for Frisco for my girlfriend Christmas shopping trip. Coming home Thursday, only to leave that same day for DL!

When do you have time to pee??? Seriously, you amaze me. Have fun in Frisco. I'm jealous. I want an annual girls shopping trip to San Fran! Or maybe an annual girls wine weekend in Napa. Someone can have my share of the wine.

OKay, I think everything is updated, and posted.

I buckled down yesterday and got busy addressing Christmas cards. Finished and mailed all 66 of them this morning. (That's both family and friends, not just the card exchange here! LOL) The only ones I didn't mail yet are the ones to Canada. I have to go check the postage on those.
Speaking of which, it's been awhile since I bought stamps. For some reason it didn't register with me how much they are now, and they are freakin expensive!!!
Oh well, it's worth it when all the pretty cards start coming in.

When you call to make your reservation, just mention you are part of the DisBoard Divas Group and tell him/her we have a block of rooms there. They'll take care of you.

P.S. Capri, double congrats on the job. I am soooo happy for you! Bree has an interview tomorrow for a receptionist/admin position. We paid for 5 years of college for her to be a receptionist - really? But a job is a job. I know you feel our pain. She actually has 5 or 6 interviews this week, so we are hopeful.

Yes, I know exactly what you are saying and feel your pain. It's bittersweet; Having a job is wonderful, but I paid and worked my rear off for an advanced degree to be an appraiser? Oh well, it's a wacky world we live in these days and I'm thankful for all opportunities any of us are blessed with that may provide us with happiness and much brighter days.

I hope Bree's interview went well and she gets the job!

I would suggest you pick up Sarah on your way down and then split the cost of the $80ish dollar ones. Th $50 dollar and under versions are nasty with capital N.

I can't believe Alaska didn't have any good fairs Bellingham to Long Beach. Bummer!
