Good morning everyone!
I was trying not to get my hopes up for the Diva trip, just in case it didn't work out.
But, last night my husband surprised me when he said that I could use some of his Aeroplan miles for my plane ticket in February! YAY!
He's been traveling every week this month for work, but I guess it has paid off!

I'm so happy I bought an AP on last year's trip. Now the only big cost will be the hotel! (Still looking for a couple more roomies...)

Hi Ladies,

I'm excited that I get to see you guys this week! I am stoked for the halloween party! I should get the rest of my costume in the mail tomorrow. I hit a road bump with the pants I ordered and the replacement doesn't look like it will arrive in time (I also don't have time to take it to have it taken in and altered). Good thing I ordered backup pants! lol It looks cool too and I can wear it any time and not just once a year.

Last Wednesday I went to the AP exclusive event at DL. Another friend of mine asked a friend and I if we would like to join them for the same even tonight. I said: "Heck yeah!" It gets me out of work early and it will be fun to hang with friends(and say hi to those hunky chimney sweep guys!)

Sounds like a great night. I'm really interested in seeing your costume Rochelle. Make sure you get some photos. I hope to see photos of everyone from this weekend. Sure wish I could make it. Everyone's going to have such a great time.

Hi ladies, sorry I have been missing from action. So much going on in my life, and most of it's not the greatest. Such as I actually had to move in with my mom at the age of 41. WTH? Money is so tight and my lease was up so I had no choice but to come live her for a couple months.
Still not sure what's going to happen about the trip. If my DH would finally get to start the darn job again. Can't believe how long it's been since something big had come our way for him to work. Construction isn't what it use to be in Vegas.
Capri I sent you a PM.
Vegas girls, maybe after Halloween we can meet up for a coffee or something. I'm just off Rainbow and 95 now.

For those who pray send some our way please. For those who don't a positive thought for some work to come would be great.
Other than the above all is good. I miss not having my grand kids around all the time but then again, the peace and quiet is something I can get use to.

So much going on in my life, and most of it's not the greatest.

Fall has officially come back to us, brrrrrrr. My neighbor said it snowed just past Duluth - I'm not surprised as we got lots of cold rain and gray clouds, in the low 40's. I happily pulled jeans and a warm cozy sweater out of the closet.. ahhh I love the cooler weather!

Hubby had his monthly neph/home hemo visit, doc was very happy with labs, the few new changes hubby made in treatment and diet has made BIG results. Hubby asked about getting a tattoo and the reply was a fast "no way" with a bit of a scowl. Then he thought about it more.. "fine, just do it in stages to make sure it heals with no infections". I think his immediate "no way" was his reaction if it was one of his kids who had asked.

I love this doc! Very few docs, in chronic care, know how to deal with patients that are well informed and able to take initiative in their own care. His neph has had home hemo patients decades ago, loves to chat and ponder with us over what is really the best care versus the company (Davita) standards. I think we learn something new from each other every month.. good experience for the doc too.

The new dietician stepped in to chat next, hubby said "I'll make it easy for you. I eat what I want, I'm vegetarian and my numbers are fine." She stood there and blinked for a few seconds.
And then rambled for the next 20 minutes about his lab results according to his "report card" Yes, they give a report card complete with smiley faces, frowney faces, thumbs up and "okay" signs. ummm, the guy has been doing this for over 11 years. And he's not a freaking 5 year old that needs a star on his page to be told "good boy". Obviously he is well aware of his disease, treatment and diet.. you know, look at his freaking labs! They are fabulous!!


Came home, checked my emails.. did a little more cheering and smiling as some of my travel plans are nicely set. I'm just so darn excited!!

I was singing to my teenagers "I'm going to Disneyland, I'm going to Disneyland" and in reply I heard "I don't care" complete with eye rolls and shaking head while muttering about crazy moms.. pfffffffffffft HMPH! They will not ruin this for me!

Hi Ladies,

I had a fun time in hip hop class last night. My teacher went a bit faster than usual with the routine he taught us. I was super stoked because I was able to keep up with him! I was so shocked! It was awesome though and he told me after class that he saw me keeping up with him. Woot! I have class again tonight and I'm stoked! I love how this whole hip hop side to me is allowing me to just learn something new, it's something I want to get better at and it's fun and allows me to meet new people. It also is my stress reliever from work and other things and it makes me forget about any stresses I may have.

Tomorrow night is the club night and I'm planning to go. It will be my 2nd time there but it's fun to dance with fellow hip hop peeps and it's an experience.

I can't wait until Friday! I'm excited to see all of you guys!

Good Morning!

I've had a crappy last couple of days.

My DBF crashed on his street bike Tuesday night. We were in the ER until 2:00am. They did a bunch of X-rays and a CAT scan and he has a broken wrist, broken ribs and bruised lung. They won't put a cast on his wrist yet becasue it is still too swollen.

He's really bummed out because we leave for our cruise a week from Sunday.

Tonight I have to pack and get organized and then I'll be making the long drive (all 15 minutes of it) to Disneyland after I drop Bella off at the kennel!
