I think it's going to be really fun. They have a Mark Twain ride at 11:00. I plan to watch. Also their group photo is expecting so many people that they do it in the Festival Arena. I'm going to take lots of photos.

It looks like I might be going to DL in October!

I told DH that Alaska is having a miles deal and that we could get one of our nights at the Ent. rate at HoJo and asked him if he would like to go for a fall getaway, and he said yes! So I am planning to be there Oct. 22-24. Then I told him "by the way, some of my friends will be there that weekend so I would like to get together with them for a meal or something, it's Beth's birthday!" " Oh, I see....well just so long as they aren't staying in our room and we don't have to plan everything around them."

So Beth, put me down for those dates and let me know when I can meet up with you!

It's been a quiet (code for lazy) morning here at home. I am just waiting for afternoon to roll around so I can go meet up with Angie and her husband Brad for lunch.

Whoo hoo!! That's awesome, Carol!! I'm so glad we'll be able to meet up. I'll send you a PM on Facebook in a sec with our plans so you can see what works with your schedule.

Oh, great news, Patty!! Are you gonna sign her up with a DIS account?
I will add you both to the front page now. Our list is ever growing!

As for catching up, just glance over the first page and you should be fine. The only sign-ups we've started now are :
1. the scavenger hunt (if you plan on doing that PM Mel the info on the front page)
2. the purple castle tees from last year (PM Mel if you need one)
Then of course find a hotel. Some are staying at the Grand, some at the Carousel, and I think some are still deciding.

Just an update. We now have 63 ladies signed up to join the trip! Amazing!! Highest number ever. I love it!!

If your name is not on this list and you are planning to attend, please let me know so that I may add you. If you see a ? next to your name, it means I am unsure of your dates, so if you know them, let me know. Thanks!!

One more word of advice. Some of you are signed up, but.....we rarely see you post here or on Facebook.... Certainly posting, or chatting, is not a requirement to join the trips, but I will say that what you get out of these trips is what you put into it. Meaning, if you have the chance to attend a mini meet beforehand, you should do so! If you have the time to come on here or Facebook and chat, please do. It really does ease any nervousness you might be feeling if you are able to sort of "get to know" everyone before the actual trip.
The Divas are a welcoming and friendly bunch, so if you are unable to get to know anyone beforehand you will still have a nice time. But I've found the most fun happens when you've participated on the thread, with the planning, in the exchanges, or in a mini meet. I think most of the ladies who've been before would agree with this.
Just a helpful suggestion.

Can't wait to see returning friends, and meet new ones!!!!

Will some of you be at the park this weekend? I will be there on Sat. and Sunday (late afternoon since I have hip hop on Sun). I hope to see some of you I could also use some dance partners since ElecTRONica is back! :yay! Ye-yeah baby!

So last night one of my friends tried out my hip hop class with me. She liked it and she said it was fun. While we were waiting for the studio to open, we looked next door and saw some paparazzi and camera crew guys waiting outside a milkshake shop. I was wondering who they were waiting for. All of a sudden this lady shows up and I see cameras flashing and they follow her into the shop. My friend and I run over to see who it is. I am lousy at spotting celebs. lol. Well I assumed it must be a famous singer. Nope! It turns out it was the lady who has the longest finger nails in the world! Ack! It was creepy to see but I snapped pics and put it on FB if you want to check it out. Creeepy!!

Hello Divas!

For those ladies who are deciding on which hotel to stay at, or who need roomates, Monica (groovygirl) and I are planning to stay at the Desert Inn and Suites.
The price for a room with 4 Queen beds is approx $150/night, so only about $40/night per person.
If you are interested please send me a message! I would like to reserve a room soon, but I'd like to have a group of four people before I do.
The DIS is quite close to the Carousel, so it won't be a long walk to the Meet & Greet, or to the Parks.

Am I the only one from the land of 10,000 "soon to be frozen" lakes?

You know, it takes a special person to handle living here.... warm blooded (eliminates the need for long underwear for a few months of the year), half vampire (easier to hide that glowing skin that only sees the sun 4 months of the year), sturdy and strong (so you can handle wearing three layers and STILL shovel out your car when it gets stuck in the parking lot), thick skin (natural protection from the mosquitoes), easily understands language (ya, you betcha we talk different here in Minnie-sooooooo-tah), sense of humor (because otherwise you may go a little nuts during cabin fever season)
