Girls Trip~OLD THREAD (see first post for link to new one)

So last night one of my friends tried out my hip hop class with me. She liked it and she said it was fun. While we were waiting for the studio to open, we looked next door and saw some paparazzi and camera crew guys waiting outside a milkshake shop. I was wondering who they were waiting for. All of a sudden this lady shows up and I see cameras flashing and they follow her into the shop. My friend and I run over to see who it is. I am lousy at spotting celebs. lol. Well I assumed it must be a famous singer. Nope! It turns out it was the lady who has the longest finger nails in the world! Ack! It was creepy to see but I snapped pics and put it on FB if you want to check it out. Creeepy!!

That just really grosses me out. And I just want to know....WHY?

You know, it takes a special person to handle living here.... warm blooded (eliminates the need for long underwear for a few months of the year), half vampire (easier to hide that glowing skin that only sees the sun 4 months of the year), sturdy and strong (so you can handle wearing three layers and STILL shovel out your car when it gets stuck in the parking lot), thick skin (natural protection from the mosquitoes), easily understands language (ya, you betcha we talk different here in Minnie-sooooooo-tah), sense of humor (because otherwise you may go a little nuts during cabin fever season)

You just described my friend at work to a tee! She's from the land of lakes. It's great when she's out drinking because that Minnie-sooooooo-tah language of her sneaks back it.

BTW~~~ I am posting from work...totally feeling hated upon right now and needed a break. I don't think my bosses like how my English class is going cause now the department head wants weekly meetings with me and I keep having visitors watch my class. It's not my fault that the teacher responsible for writing my lesson plans (I am supposed to be mirroring her class) continues to get me the plans late. For example, on Monday I did not get the plans until 2 minutes before class. How I am supposed to prep for that?

Jen - I hope things get better for you. Hopefully the other teacher will come around....quickly!

Wow - 63 signed up for the trip. That's mighty impressive! We are going to have a great time. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone I met last year and making new friends.

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend. Madi and I are off to my cousin's wedding. It should be a good time.

Why does someone grow their nails that long?
Why do people care enough that it's big news?

All valid questions! I have no idea why it grosses me out, but it seriously does. Especially when I see a guy with one or more long nails. Why that is worse, I have no idea. DS11 occasionally lets his nails go too long before clipping them, and I have to mention it because I can't stand to see it.

Me: Please! Promise me you'll clip your nails today!
DS11: What? Oh. Gee, they're not that long!
Me: Yes, YES THEY ARE! Please!!!
DS11: Um... OK.

As for catching up, just glance over the first page and you should be fine. The only sign-ups we've started now are :
1. the scavenger hunt (if you plan on doing that PM Mel the info on the front page)
2. the purple castle tees from last year (PM Mel if you need one)
Then of course find a hotel. Some are staying at the Grand, some at the Carousel, and I think some are still deciding.

Yes, c ome and help me pack! I went to see the people who are living in our new house last night as their realtor refused to get back to us or our realtor for days so we couldn't figure out when to move in! It turns out we can;t get in till mid day saturday so we had to cancel our uhaul and we can't get one till the saturday at 1pm! What a waste of time. I had been hoping to already have it loaded up! Also, it turns out they were not planning on taking their washer and dryer or fridge so we bought new ones for nothing! So after talking with them, they will take those items with them and sell them on ebay and our new items will fit into the old spots...hopefully!

AGKKK...also had my review at work yesterday...it went ok as far as my work itself but apparently I need to work on my tact which as some of you know is not what I am best at!
