On another note--would it be too early for me to start drinking now? (It's already been one of those days! negotiating restaurant odor control issues--LOL--whoo hoo is my job exciting!)

On the Mom update she went home from the hospital yesterday, but has to go back every day for two weeks for some injectable antibiotic. Luckily we have a caregiver who stays with her (there is no way I could take off two or three hours a day to take her . . . .I know, bad daughter). so it is really scary that she went to get a shot in her knee and ended up with this nasty infection!

I've never had any trouble with that site.

I'm glad your mom was able to go home. Still so nuts to think all this happened! And you are not a bad daughter at all. It's so obvious how much you care for her.

The surprise party was a big success. My DD14 wanted to go to Disneyland for her birthday, so we are headed there after school (and a full day at work for me) tomorrow. I plan on a quick visit to the tour center to work on our VIP tour requests in person.

Ruth you are ever the OPTIMIST!

I'm guessing 30 mins to leave the plane, walk over to luggage, get luggage and then to vehicle or vehicle waiting area. That makes it 11:30.
In a perfect world we will get to HoJo without traffic and get there in an hour or 12:30. (30 mins to do all that stuff at the airport is really cutting it close too. Big plane, lots of people and luggage)

I've heard of LAX and the traffic in the "area" and I'm not counting on clear sailing. Nor was I still expecting the limo...so I padded for extra traffic and having to wait for the shuttle. (We do have to wait for your scooter and be one of the last people off the plane. These are little extras that I sort of counted for in my 2pm guess)

If we make it by 1pm that would be great but I won't hold my breath.

Yes but since we are last off the plane the luaggage will already be started in it's little rotating lugguage merry-go-round .

Hi Ladies! Well, I'm going to postpone the shirt/lanyard ordering until after the weekend. My mom and her dh are coming into town tomorrow, so I'm cleaning like a banshee!

Three majorly important appliances just bit the dust in our house. Our coffee pot (just ordered a new Bunn from Amazon), my Dyson (BIG, BIG deal!) , and our main television. Dh is at Costco right now buying a new TV (OUCH, that hurts the bank account). I asked for a new vacuum for my birthday which is Tuesday. I was hoping for a Miele, but now might have to settle for a Hoover. What is it with these cycles of three?

So anyway, we still have plenty of time on the shirts, and I will probably start collecting orders on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Hope that's ok with everyone.

We're getting a whack of snow. They are calling for 30-40cm..for you guys 40cm is about 15.5inches.

Been a crazy couple of days. Got in the last of my forms for taxes and thought they were wrong. So I've been running around trying to figure out if stuff was missing. Also realized I have misplaces a lawyers fees receipt so I have to wait for that and I'm all set. ( I know the total, just don't have the form)

Hi Stacie. Yep, I'm in Phoenix, NE side, in Arcadia. I don't do coupon sense, but have been to a couple parties. It just doesn't fit in with the style of shopper I am (I shop mostly at Trader Joe's and Costco). I'm guessing you use it? Any good deals lately? I heard about the free cereal one this week. (I have friends that use it).

Well ladies--my ebay seller was very fast and I got my new Baggalini Large Wallet in Lime Green today! I think it is PERFECT! Very lightweight and lots of interior zippered pockets, card pockets, a cell phone pocket and an outside zippered pocket. Has a long strap so I can wear cross body too. I don't know how to post a picture . . . . .

I grilled today for lunch , it was yummy.. we had steak (hot dogs for my boys) and potatoes. We did a chicken too, it was undercooked -- put in the oven to finish it off-- and promptly forgot it until it became a dry husk.

Now I'm baking off a frozen pizza for the boys

On a happier note -- for my family-- we decided to move back to MN End of July, so this ladies trip will be special for me-- last one as a local as my pass expires in May.
