Ok, so I have to pack my matching lime green thong and shoes, an my Areo bed.:lmao:
I havent told Dh about this idea yet. Do you think he and rest of the family will notice if Im MIA for a few days??:confused3 :rotfl2:
Can you imagine doing a Chracter meal?:lmao: I think the tour idea is great!!
Here's what you do.....

Turn on two t.v.'s in the house. One with some kind of sports, preferably beach-y sports so there's action AND girls in bikinis.
On the other t.v. turn it to cartoons if your kids are little, MTV if they are older. That takes care of the entertainment portion for DH and the kids.

Order a couple pizzas, and arrange delivery with that pizza place for the same time every night you're gone. Leave lots of snacks that are normally off limits like cookies, ice cream, etc.
Again if you have older kids, throw a couple bucks out on the table and your pretty much good to go.

Doubt they'll even miss you...... :rolleyes1 ;)

Oh, and a character meal sounds fun too!!! I think we should definitely plan one of those as well. :thumbsup2

 I know, I could do something minor to the Mistress (aka his motorcycle) so he wouldnt even notice that Im leaving with a huge suit case.:tiptoe:

The Mistress?! :rotfl2:

I like that plan. And if he calls to find out where your at, just say you went out for groceries...... in another state. Oh, and the lines are really long. ;)

You've got a great mind! We will get along fabulously!

Oh and just to squeeze in more girls in a hotel room our good friend Sameyeyam once said that you could use the drapes as hammocks! :thumbsup2 Awesome! Gotta give her credit for coming up with that one!

Thanks! I've been told I have a dirty mind, and there's times when I feel like I'm losing my mind, so a great mind is a refreshing change! :thumbsup2

Hmmmm, a hammock out of the drapes.... Okay, I give up the tub and I'll take a drape hammock. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Sounds like a plan to me!

Can I join!!??
I really wanted to do the WDW Ladies only trip but it was a bit too far for me to fly (money wise) but a Disneyland trip is just a short train ride away!
I would love to meet some of you girls too! May is an excellent time because I think I have a week paid vacation coming to me that month. :scratchin

Of course you can!! Right now it's between the end of April and the beginning of May.

We have a poll up where you can vote for the dates you want:
Vote for Disneyland "Girls only" Trip dates

Once the poll closes then we'll know for sure when we are going and we can make more plans!! But anyone is welcome to join!! Well, as long as they aren't a man or a child. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

oh wow!! This is going to be fun!:woohoo: I just mentioned it to dh. I hope he is cool with it. :rolleyes1

I can't wait until the date is decided so I can make a ticker for it!

I'm a nerd. LOL.

Dh just said I CANT go!!!! But then he just woke up... So maybe if I give him a few days to adjust to it... Do you think he would notice if I told him I was going to visit my sister for a few days? I should have started off with that!!!! Ooooohhh... I think i will tell him that instead.;)

Okay, don't panic or get mad. If he just woke up then that probably had alot to do with it. I know my DH is a grouch when he first wakes up. Heck, so am I. :rotfl:

Don't press the issue. We have time. We don't even have a date yet so it's not like we have to make reservations tomorrow, kwim?

For some guys, they worry about how their wives taking off will effect them. A valid point. What you do is reassure him that you will take care of everything before you leave. And you will. Let's face it, we're women. It's instinct whether we like it or not.

Last year when I went away, before I left I picked out clothes for the kids (well, the younger two, the older ones dress themselves). I put them in bags and labeled who it was for and for what day. So no worries there.

I did all the laundry before I left so everyone had clean clothes. I grocery shopped and I cooked different easy to reheat meals, and baked some cookies as a treat. Food always makes them happy. ;)

I don't know what your child care situation is, but alot of the ladies made arrangements for their moms or a neighbor or other family member to come and help out with the kids.

Basically, the point is to make it as easy on them as possible. LOL So they don't panic thinking it's all going to fall apart once you leave.

Another concern might be money. Not sure if that's true in your case, but if so, there are ways to do this so it doesn't have to cost a fortune. I posted some earlier in another post, but we can stay at a hotel that doesn't cost alot, and then if you get a roomie, even better. If it has a free breakfast, that's one less meal to pay for.

You can say your not going to buy alot of souvenirs. Oh, and if your really desperate, Mother's Day is in May you know. You could always say that you want this as part of or all of your Mother's Day present. That might work too.
Plus we have time to save up for it.

Remind him that taking this time for you will only have you coming back home relaxed, refreshed and ready to be back with your family.

And finally, some men just worry that their wives might go off and act all crazy. I mean, really, it's Disney, not Vegas. Nothing bad will happen. You can reassure him of that. (and don't mention the strippers that come to the hotel room..... :rolleyes1 )
Tell him you plan to spend the whole time window shopping. Men hate that. :thumbsup2

Also if he's at all concerned over safety, or you meeting with "strangers", remind him we have 6 months before the trip. Last year, I talked with the ladies who went on the trip almost daily online, and by the time the trip came, I felt like I knew them.

We talked about our kids, and families, our daily lives, etc. So it's not like you meet someone online and then take off the next day to meet up alone. kwim?

If all else fails, bring out the thong and hot shoes and see if you can convince him in other ways. That usually works. ;)

If it still doesn't work, then all bets are off and we'll just come and kidnap you. :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: OMG!! Thank you so much!!! I swear... I about stabbed him in the face as he walked out the door to work. ;) :lmao: The main issue is money, but it really wouldnt cost that much... SO if I show him what it will actually cost, and use some airline miles, and/or get the Entertainment rate for Hojos... I dont think he is worried about me meeting up with everyone... We met most of the Hyenas in june... So he knows how crazy we can get!:lmao:

I have left him alone with the kids once before... When my dad died in May, and that was REAL fun for him! My kids didnt have a bath for a week, and vegetables? French Fries!:lmao: :lmao: maybe he was having flash backs of that!:rotfl2: He DID spend an awful lot of money on his birthday present this year...:rolleyes1 He asked me on his way out the door if I was telling everyone what a jerk he is..:rolleyes1 Never..:lmao: I think that when he has a day off I might have to pull out the stripper shoes and fancy underpants and convince him! Thanksgiving cant get here soon enough...(you see why I need a break from the kids? He hasnt had a day off since the beginning of Oct... and wont til Thanksgiving..)

 No stabbing!!!!

Not yet. That's only as a last resort. ;)

Well, I hear ya on the money. But the point is just to get away and have fun. There are lots of ways to do it and they don't necessarily have to be expensive. So we can work around that. :thumbsup2

Baths are highly overrated. Why bother, they'll just get dirty again anyways, and I think french fries make for a fine vegetable.

On a serious note, sorry about the loss of your dad.

Maybe you could find a cute little french maid outfit to wear to help convince him. Or a nurse if he prefers. :rotfl2:

That's a lot of working he's doing!! Wow. Sounds like you could definitely use a break and he could use some time to chill at home and hang with the kids.

Hopefully it will all work out. :wizard:

Good morning ladies!:sunny:
Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! Here is a picture I took last weekend at Disneyland. Its always good to have a little Disney to start your day. ;)
