Hi! (This is so fun! A paragraph about just me

)
I am 43 years old and live in Mukilteo, Washington. I am a native Washingtonian and wouldn't actually live any place else, but I do like to travel. I don't actually get to travel much, but I would like to
Growing up we always watched the World of Disney on Sunday nights. I always knew that
Disneyland was a magical place, but did not get to go until I was 16 years old. Then, my Grandparents told me they were going to Long Beach to see the Queen Mary, so I hitched onto their trip and arranged a stop off at Disneyland. Still one of my favorite memories, and I have certain attractions that I go on and still miss my Grandpa desperately.
But I digress...I ended up going to college in California for a year and went to Disneyland several times. Why didn't I know about annual passes then??
When my oldest was born, I was a single parent, and rather broke to say the least. But my brother lived in San Diego, and my Grandmother lived in Yuma, so I still managed to get my son to Disneyland for about 4 different 1 day trips. Those were the days of film cameras, and for some reason, I don't have very many pictures from those trips
When my oldest was 2, I met my Prince. After dating for a few years, we got married just one day before my oldest turned 5. It is hard to believe but between getting settled in, and the court procedure of terminating the dead beat biological father and dh adopting oldest, the arrival of the little one, etc etc, we did not take another trip to Disneyland until my oldest was 9, and the little one was almost 3, in 2005.
Oh, just read again. We did not terminate the dead beat Dad. We terminated his parental rights.

2005 was the revamping of my love of Disney with my first 3 day stay at Paradise Pier. We really had a great time, but I am not sure we talked about going back for a while, because we spent so dang much money on that trip.
Fast foward to 2007, and we decided to take a road trip to Yuma to see Gram at Xmas, and the next Disney trip started getting planned. I found the DisBoards, and planned a great trip for way less money. We did the Citipass thing and I was so resentful of the time away from Disneyland. Then my husband got an ear infection, my son had the flu. There was a sprained ankle, and geesh, our short 3 days at DL were practically ruined! So, you can see the seeds were planted for the name "QueenDoOver", but it was a while before it came to me.
I read about the 2008 Ladies Trip but never joined in the banter. They sounded like they had so much fun though. Finally, when they started planning 2009, I jumped on board. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone online before finally meeting everyone in person on the trip. As the time came closer, I found out that we would have our screen names on our lanyards. I did not want to be boring old "trodrigue" any more, so I wracked my brain, and thus "QueenDoOver" was born.
Oh, also planned a Feb 2009 trip to DL with my family and 4 others that was 9 days for us, at the HOJO. We had a fabulous trip and I really had a hard time thinking of a reason to do it over. But as we had annual passes, a reason wasn't really necessary. Just now hoping for one last trip with our passes at Xmas break, and then sadly I will say goodbye for a few years as we take time for other destinations. I will miss my magical place though.
Oh yeah, and I am a Real Estate Broker, and there is nothing magical about that these days! Hubby has been blessed with 20 years at Boeing. My two boys are now 13 and 7, and are really pretty good kids. I call myself a scrapbooker, and love to take pictures, but I am not that good at devoting the time to it. (what time??) We love to camp and the Ocean in Washington is one of my all time favorite places, besides DL of course.
