Sarah - ANOTHER new clippie?! Way to go! I think I gained back three pounds last weekend at Disneyland.

Interesting that you should post about the gospel brunch today, because I was just thinking about taking myself and Jamie off the list. So then there will just be 8. Sorry! I spent a lot more money on food this last trip and need to scale down a bit for next time, plus I want to have more time in the parks since Jamie has not been since she was a kid and we are leaving on Sunday afternoon.

I have been in contact with the HOB regarding the gospel brunch and here is what I have found out.

You can book as far in advance as you'd like. Please at least book 1 week in advance.

Tickets are non-refundable, so once you purchase you cannot get your money back. I reccommend having your exact count before purchasing.

You eat for the first hour, and the buffet is the second hour. (It's from 10-12) You would want to come about 10 minutes early to get your tickets from Will Call and seating begins immediately at 10am.

If you end up needing less than 10 you will need to purchase through the Box Office.

Right now we have exactly 10. The price per person is $36 which includes the performance, buffet, non-alcoholic beverages and gratuity. Through a group the $2 service charge is waived. I haven't done this before but was thinking that if everyone who is going to go would mail me the $36 and once I got the money I could go ahead a book us...if all 10 are in I will book as a group and if not I will book through the box office for however many sent me the money. Any of you who have done this type of thing before let me know if there is a better way of doing it please!

I'm busy making last-minute teacher gifts tonight. I just realized today that I should probably have something to give their HomeConnections teachers at the WinterFest program tomorrow. But because the kids have different teachers for each class, it adds up to 10 gifts! Ugh! So, I'm throwing together some candied spiced pecans in a holiday glass. Thank God for Dollar Tree! The pecans take an hour to bake though, so I'll be up at least till midnight doing the several batches it's going to take. . .

We ended up not going to the Guy Fieri show tonight. I just couldn't do one more thing. However, I did finish all my wrapping, so I am officially done with the shopping/wrapping chore!!!!!! Now I'm just trying to power thru everything else I have to do, while the last minute catering jobs just keep getting added to my list. I got a call today for a party of 100+ for Tuesday, and then I just now (at 10pm) got a call for Christmas cookies to be picked up on Christmas Eve. At least I know I'll be do some baking this year, even if it isn't for me.

Ok, so I am starting to freak out that I only have one week at my job left. I have so much to do. Have to delegate my responsibilities to others, make sure all the reports are done, finish up a ton of paper work. Plus I have to make sure all the files on my staff are up to date and everything is in order. Have to find people to cover my meetings and stuff. Then I still need to pack up my office. Ive been here 5 1/2 years so I have a lot of junk to bring home. ACK!!! And only one week to do it all. I feel an anxiety attack coming on.

Deep breath. As one of my old bosses reminded me, you are now being measured on your new job, not your old job. Just put things in enough order and then move on. Maybe you could start with moving out your junk, just so you can get over that mental barrier of moving jobs? It's not worth an anxiety attack. Oh, and go get a massage.

I'm going to bed at 11pm though so I will actually get 7 hours of sleep tonight I'm assuming I'll feel refreshed enough that I can head straight to Disneyland afterward. Wow, what a Laker game! I tivo it and watch it when I can.

I think the only thing Santa will bring me is a dentist visit.

I have a pair of boots that I ordered from Lady Foot Locker when we lived in Michigan. They aren't Uggs but some Australian sheepskin boot. So warm and super comfy. I wear them without socks too. That's what I had on when we met for lunch on Sunday.
They were selling for $100 and I got them on clearance for around 20 bucks. Not sure what brand they are, but I can't imagine Uggs are any better or more comfy.

Beth, that was a great buy.Australian sheepskin boots are actually considered very chic by hip Hollywood chicks in the know. There was a controversy with the Ugg company a few years ago. The main thing, whether you get Uggs or another brand, is that you have sheepskin, because unlike synthetics, it breathes.

Everyone with Uggs--I've always wanted to try them--do they run narrow or wide? I have fat feet.

And finally--a question: should I live on the wild side or shouldn't I? I have a dilemma. that's all I can say.

Cheryl, hi, they run very wide. I have the same issue and they are the most comfortable boot ever. You will not want to take them off.

Who was talking about a cracked windshield? And why they had to replace it? I got a nice 3 inch crack in the middle bottom of mine. I am guessing it was from the wipers in that horrid storm? Wondering if I can just live with it... and why the other person had to replace theirs?

It was me with the cracked windshield (from my puppy). We're waiting on replacing the glass for now (hoping it holds out for a bit longer). The main reason that it needs to be replaced is that it went through both panes of glass (I had no idea there were 2 panes that made up a windshield until this past week). Anyway our crack is very visiable and runs the risk of spreading (quickly at that) so we'll need to change it, just need to get through the holidays.

I'm getting ready to leave for DL.

Cheryl, Like Donna said ,Uggs do run wide. Costco also sells Ugg look alikes, but not sure how they wear. If you decide to get the real deal, get the Ultras. That way you can replace the inner soles every year.

Beth, I'm sure Santa(Rueben) has something else in mind for you besides the dentist! Maybe something new to watch TV in.

Tina, It sounds like you are really busy too, with all of your catering stuff. Whew! So what kind of cookies are you going to make? I love to make big soft and chewy ginger cookies this time of year. That and snowballs. I also like to make peppermint bark. So easy and so yummy!

All this talk about baking has me thinking about Dawn. She and I would have been sharing our recipes for the Holidays. Having our grandchildren over to help us make the cookie mess. I miss her.

On a happier note. Tomorrow, we will be leaving for Sacramento to see family and our niece's graduation. We leave early in the morning. I hope it is not foggy like today!

Morning ladies..
I have been up since 5 AM for no reason at all. I have been baking for Kaeleb's Polar Express party @ school tomorrow & starting on sugar cookies to decorate tomorrow night.
It's a pretty busy day for me, baking, Kaeleb gets his award today, then right after he gets it, we have to rush to the eye doctor so he doesn't miss his appt. Phew all of that before noon.

Capri I am SO happy for you that you booked your flight and I would LOVE to share a shuttle with you!!! Mom and I get in at like 1:45 or something. We are staying at PP but I am sure we can work something out where they can drop you guys off first or what not. It is ALWAYS fun to share a ride and get that first little bit of chatting in!!!

As for me I don't have much on the sched for today. The girls have dentist apts after school today and I am supposedly going to meet with mom today because I have to buy my gift for our exchange at our office Christmas party tomorrow. We usually just have a luncheon and then we draw names and exchange with one other person. I got the only MAN in the office! I think I am just going to get him a coffee mug and a starbucks gift card.

Anyway the girls had a fun time at church last night and I just rented a few movies. The hangover, public enemy (I think that is what it was called with Johnny depp) and the other man. The hangover wasn't as funny as I thought it would be but it was ok and public enemy was kind of borning I thought but ok. I am going to watch the other one today. Shane ended up staying home to study and then our neighbor called and told him all this stuff that I had discussed with his sister in law (my friend) last Sunday night when she was here. I was livid. First off all my friend and her family were supposed to be on MY side in this scenario. I have known my friend and her sister for over 20 years and WHY her husband felt the need after they KNEW everything that went down last weekend to call and tell Shane what I said is ludicrous. I was so angry. I could NOT believe he was trying to stir crap up!

Luckily shane didn't get to riled up and it didn't cause any problems but I am going to have a few WORDS with my friend. Then I get an e-mail this morning that one of the kids we invited to Katy's birthday that said she was for SURE coming is bailing now. I only invited like 4 girls and now one is bailing. I feel so bad for Katy cuz if ANYONE else can't come it is not going to be much of a party!

Anyway I am off here in a few to go take the girls to school and then run my errands with mom.

Becci - Callie and I and a few others get in around 1:30pm. I was going to book the earlier flight that gets in around 11:00am, but I just couldn't get myself to do it. That flight left at 5:00am, so I would have had to get up at 2:30am to make it. I thought about it and felt that I would rather be rested and really enjoy myself on our first day rather than be exhausted and miserable just for a couple of extra hours (which I would be miserable experiencing because I was so tired). Ummmmm, did that make any sense. I feel like I just rambled something incoherent out.
