I will probably drive or have someone drive me. The parking at the airport wasn't bad when Brad and I went to Vegas. Flying Allegiant is fine, a little cramped but it's a short flight. Are you going to Vegas in June?

Absolutely! You thinking of joining us too? It is a lot of fun :thumbsup2

Beth - Can you please take me off of the dinner at Napa Rose on Sunday and the breakfast at Steakhouse 55 on Monday? I think I'll be leaving on Sunday some time.......

All this talk about baking has me thinking about Dawn. She and I would have been sharing our recipes for the Holidays. Having our grandchildren over to help us make the cookie mess. I miss her. :sad1:

Mel:hug:

I know what you mean. I still have a series of PMs from her, with links to Halloween baking ideas that she was forwarding to me.

I just booked my flight to LAX for $38:cool1:
I'm still hoping the return flight goes down.
I hope everyone is having a great day, I start graveyards tonight until the 23rd so I need to get started on baking!

What a great price! Now you'll have a little extra money for a corn dog!

Hi Ladies... I am on my 2nd week of jury duty ;) and I am just soo excited to be an alternate because I get to sit in this really nice room with a bunch of sniffling, sneazing, coughing strangers all day long! At least there is wi-fi so I have been catching up on what has been going on with y'all.

To those that need them, big hugs :goodvibes

To those that are celebrating WOOHOO :cool1:

To everyone else, happy Thursday!!:woohoo:

My DS turned 11 on Tuesday so after court we spent about 3 hours in traffic driving down to DL. He wanted to get his gift card and I couldn't say no to him since the rest of us all received our cards.
It was pretty busy, but we managed to ride a few rides and finally saw the fireworks in front of IASW. Boy, that is my new favorite place to watch them. After it snowed, both of my boys gave me the biggest hug and thanked me for bringing them. Now I am already emotional since fireworks and snow get me all warm and fuzzy. But when they said thank you the water works just started to flow. They didn't seem to mind that their mom cries  It was well worth it to see them soo happy.

I hope that everyone has a magical day!!

I love watching the holiday fireworks from IASW! I'm pretty sad that I'm missing it this year!

Hello ladies! Lots of us are so busy with all sorts of fun holiday plans, errands, cleaning, baking, shopping, wrapping, working, and so on and so on! Whew!!!! It's exhausting. :faint:

I'm back from my doc appt. and have all sorts of fun (not!) and pricey procedures scheduled to see what's going on with me. Boo!
But I am blessed and thankful to live in a country where these tests are available to me, and hopefully they will give me an answer and a solution.

We also found out that we are pretty much screwed on getting our mini van sliding door fixed. We only have liability so our insurance won't cover it. They are going to try to go after the guy using his license plate and go through his insurance, assuming he has any, but with no witnesses it could be hard to prove and it's not likely to happen. So it appears we are stuck with a crunched in door.

But I am thankful the door still slides so the kids can get in and out, and we have a van to drive rather than taking the bus, no matter how crappy it looks. LOL

I have a ton of baking to do, but am happy I am capable of baking yummy treats for friends and coworkers.
I have a ton of laundry catch up on, but I'm grateful I have a washer and dryer in which to do it.
And I have lots of cleaning to do before Ruben's parents and sister arrive tomorrow. But I am happy they are coming and therefore happy to do a little work before they get here.

I still don't know what to do about my tooth as I don't have the money to get it fixed, but I know once I do, I have a great dentist to go to who is efficient, does great work and is close by.

Okay, how's that for trying to be positive and not get caught in the "woe is me" syndrome that I almost got sucked into today!!!! :rotfl2:
Maybe if I say it often enough, I will actually mean it. ;)

Have a wonderful day everyone!! :grouphug: TTYL

I'm sorry about all these things happening to you, Beth, but way to stay positive! :thumbsup2

OK girls, I'm off to make broccoli soup and Christmas cookies. I'mthinking gingerbread and spritz. And maybe peanut butter kisses. :santa:

!
We ended up not going to the Guy Fieri show tonight. I just couldn't do one more thing. However, I did finish all my wrapping, so I am officially done with the shopping/wrapping chore!!!!!! Now I'm just trying to power thru everything else I have to do, while the last minute catering jobs just keep getting added to my list. I got a call today for a party of 100+ for Tuesday, and then I just now (at 10pm) got a call for Christmas cookies to be picked up on Christmas Eve. At least I know I'll be do some baking this year, even if it isn't for me.

Much love to all! Take care of yourselves and your loved ones!

Wow! :scared1: I can't imagine doing what you are doing! Don't wear yourself out!

My whole family is here. I'm going to let my kids miss school today and give the family a tour of our Swiss town.

-Jen

Have fun with your family!!

Becci - Callie and I and a few others get in around 1:30pm. I was going to book the earlier flight that gets in around 11:00am, but I just couldn't get myself to do it. That flight left at 5:00am, so I would have had to get up at 2:30am to make it. I thought about it and felt that I would rather be rested and really enjoy myself on our first day rather than be exhausted and miserable just for a couple of extra hours (which I would be miserable experiencing because I was so tired). Ummmmm, did that make any sense. I feel like I just rambled something incoherent out. :goodvibes

Yikes! I wouldn't want to get up at 2:30 either! Now that you mentioned this I do think I remember this being discussed.

Hey Becci! I have me, you, Heather, and Deb all getting in around the same time. I knew Capri was, but then also remembered she was changing it. So there's 4 of us right now. If we get 1 more, we can do the Disneyland Express for the same price as the SuperShuttle. So if anyone else is coming around 10:30-11am on Thursday, let me know!!

Yay!:cool1: I can't remember when Patty is getting in - but I know it is Thursday. I'm sure we will find someone else!!

Trying to catch up before I need to get dinner for the kids. We have a babysitter coming to watch the two little ones while we go to Michaela and Grant's program at school. Grant has another solo - I think it is "Here comes Santa Claus". He just loves to sing!:lovestruc

Yay...my thoughts too! I like the white ones the best and I think I'm going to get the tote size I think. I'll have to look at them but now with my work GC and my birthday GC from DL I have enough for the tote and I have a work GC from last year so I could get the wristlet if I like it too. Can't wait to go purse shopping. I can send you pictures if you'd like so you can see what choices there are in Feb. for your May trip.

I have one of the white ones - the large tote! I LOVE  IT! My good friend was in WDW in November and got it for me. I get so many complements on it!!:thumbsup2

Beth - I always love your great attitude. Such an inspiration!:)

I will probably drive or have someone drive me. The parking at the airport wasn't bad when Brad and I went to Vegas. Flying Allegiant is fine, a little cramped but it's a short flight. Are you going to Vegas in June?

I flew Allegiant 3 years ago when I went to Vegas. It was a little cramped, but worth the cheap price. They also had this thing where you take a $5 bill write your seat number on it & put it in a bucket. Then someone pulls out one of the $5's and the seat number wins all of the money. Sadly I didn't win and neither did my friend. But it was fun.

I think that I might fly Allegiant in June. It leaves Thursday & home on Sunday. Unless they have changed their Vegas schedule out of Pasco.

I hope everyone is having a great evening. I decorated Kaeleb's cupcakes (sadly I am not very creative), I used spray frosting. It seemed to work, I guess. Oh well the kids are just going to eat them.

Tracey~ I love your card! It made me teary.
Jane~ Ty is such a cutie!

Hi Courtney, I hope you are feeling better.

Laramie is on graveyard tonight, so I think I am going to take the boys out to dinner. So the house is quiet for a little longer. Plus, I really don't to cook tonight.

Deb, you fly out of Bellingham? I'm thinking it might be a good cheap flight for me too :thumbsup2

Deb, I'm feeling much better. My Mom is sick now, I gave it to her! How's your knee?

I just love all the Christmas cards. My Mom taped them to one of our walls and it looks neat! Otherwise we probably wouldn't get any cards.

My Mom and I baked some cookies for me to take to work tomorrow. Tomorrow is our Christmas lunch and gift exchange. We get to leave after our lunch, so I'm hoping to get the rest of my Christmas shopping done since we're eating in the same city as the mall. Which works out for me!

What's everyone doing tonight?

:hug:Biggest of hugs to Tracey and Katie!!!!!

Waaa!!! We just got my son's Mac computer, and I have no idea how to post images now. I had a really cute big hug picture to post for you guys. Just imagine a little glitter kitty giving you a big hug.

Love Mel

Courtney, I am so sorry you were dissapointed in your package. Sorry about that. :guilty:

I feel so much better since I got my hug! Especially when I imagine the glitter kitty:)

After it snowed, both of my boys gave me the biggest hug and thanked me for bringing them. Now I am already emotional since fireworks and snow get me all warm and fuzzy. That is just a great story. I love boys!

Dear Beth. Hang in there! Great way to stay positive:yay:

Hi Gals! So glad you are enjoying your picture. I had a lot of fun putting it together, but it was hard to make sure I got everyone. I am truly sorry for anyone I missed. It was not intentional at all.

For everyone's enjoyment, here it is:

XmasCard-Page001-1.jpg

Tracey....that is awesome!! Nicely done :)

Beth & Katie...way to be positive....It can be tough to do when things are tough, so yay for you guys and I hope it keeps your chins up and helps get you thru it!!

Yay Courtney! Great news on the GC!:banana: I too won a GC from my work today for signing up the most Consortia particpants and I am not a sales person so it is fun to win these kinds of things! I'm saving mine to buy a Dooney and Bourke Disney purse when I go to WDW in Feb. :cool1:

OMG....I ordered mine 2 weeks ago, called Monday to inquire about it because it was considered backordered and she told me it showed processed and should ship out in the next 3 days.......so I was thinking it may not be here to "surprise me" for Christmas. So I get home today after a chaotic and stressful afternoon (long story) and guess what was on my doorstep???? A box from Disney with my brand spankin' new D & B Disney tote bag!! I almost screamed when I opened it and quickly hid it in my room. It smells so new and looks fabulous, I'm beyond thrilled!

I think somebody asked....there is the $45 wristlet, $150 small bag w/ strap and $175 large tote! I heard they are coming out with a black and a denim at DLR soon and the white is WDW only. Not sure if its true or not...just what I heard.

Beth - Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry about your van and your tooth and all your tests you have to do. But your positive attitude is inspiring. Trust me, I know how hard that can be when it seems things are weighing down on you from every angle. You are in my thoughts and prayers and wishes for better things to come.

And that goes for all the Divas! :grouphug:

Well, I spent all day at the hospital today with my dad. I didn't get home until 5:30pm, and when I walked in the house, Justin tells me I had a package delivered today. I said, "I did?" And he says, "Yes, were you expecting anything?" I respond, "No, I can't think of anything." :confused3

There wasn't a return name on the package......just a California address I didn't recognize. I compare the address to my Christmas card list......nope, none of the addresses match. So now I'm thinking, "Hmmmmm, should I open it? No one has a grudge against me, do they?" :scratchin

I can't think of anyone who would be mad at me, so Justin says, "Why don't you go ahead and open it."

So I open the box, and inside was the loveliest surprise!!! The box was filled with pretty green and red shredded foil, several wrapped gifts, and the yummiest chocolate cherry flavored candy (which I dove into because I hadn't eaten anything all day....wow DELICIOUS!). There was the most beautiful stocking with pretty beading, and inside the stocking were some gifts wrapped in pretty Christmas paper. I unwrapped the gifts and there was a pretty glittery emory board, some awesome Christmas recipe cards, a cute Disney magnetic shopping list pad, these totally cute Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer socks, a Mickey Mouse head cookie cutter which I always wanted (in the picture the cookie cutter kind of looks like a hidden Mickey - LOL!) and the cutest Christmas kitchen towel set with a Santa scrub sponge......sooooooooo CUTE!

And there was the SWEETEST and SOFTEST polka-dot blankie (Justin tried to call dibs on the blankie so he could snuggle with it, but I said "NO WAY! That's my blankie to snuggle with, but I'll share it with you when I'm using it.) :goodvibes :love2:

And there was also PRETTIEST bottle of red wine wrapped up so gorgeous that I didn't even want to open it to see what was inside. I'm thinking about popping the cork in about 15 minutes and relaxing with a glass of wine and a good show. :cloud9:

And there was another wrapped gift in the box, kind of heavy, so I opened it, and it was seriously the most beautiful red ceramic pie plate! And it was nice and deep, so I could make a killer apple pie in it! I can't wait to use it when I'm baking my Christmas pies next week! :yay:

There was a little sparkly Santa hat card, and all it said was, "Capri, Merry Christmas. Love a Dis Diva Elf." :santa:

Wow, what a wonderful, lovely, most special surprise! Thank you SO MUCH my Diva elf, from the bottom of my heart!!! :littleangel:

How did I get so lucky to have such caring, loving friends? I am truly blessed to have all of you in my life. :grouphug:

Callie.....

What is your seat number on flight 510? (Unless you would rather chance it and sit next to a big, harry, smelly man on the flight down. I mean, I don't know which would be better.....sitting next to me, or the big, harry, smelly dude.......but it's your call.) ;)

Also, do you want to share a ride from the airport to the HOJO? Aren't you sharing a ride with someone else too......was it Patty? Well anyway, do you want one more to split the cost of a ride?

I am also on flight 510. And it would be great to share a ride.

Yay! I have a plane buddy!!! :cool1::cool1:

I'm in 15D on the way down (aisle seat -- LONG legs!) And I think Kelly and her mom were arriving at around the same time, so we could share a taxi van or shuttle with them. :goodvibes I've recently read a change in the flat fare agreements at SNA, so I'll do some research first to make sure we don't spend more than we should.

Ha! I have 15F.

I just booked my flights!!! :woohoo:  :woohoo:

There's no turning back now. :goodvibes

Callie, I'm sitting right next to you in 15E. I'll make sure to shave extra close that morning. ;) :goodvibes

Yeah Roomie! So excited your flight is booked!
Sarah - ANOTHER new clippie?! :woohoo: Way to go! I think I gained back three pounds last weekend at Disneyland.

Interesting that you should post about the gospel brunch today, because I was just thinking about taking myself and Jamie off the list. So then there will just be 8. Sorry! I spent a lot more money on food this last trip and need to scale down a bit for next time, plus I want to have more time in the parks since Jamie has not been since she was a kid and we are leaving on Sunday afternoon.

Thanks! I have been working hard! Hopefully all the ladies who have met me before will see a big difference!
That would be me! Send me a PM so I can save it and not forget to add you to the list.

I'm still in for this, and my DD wants to go as well. So you can add her name, Christine, to the list.

Look, it's only 70 days, or 10 weeks until our trip!!!

Did you get my pm?
Happy Birthday to Steph!

Stacie, congrats on the new job. Let go of the stress, throw those old cards away, cart that stuff out, and embrace the challenge and excitement of the new opportunity!

Mel, you forgot me! I like hugs too! Reminds me of my 7 year old. He was standing next to me when I was on the computer working and had been trying to get under my arm and get my attention. He finally just yelled, "Mom"! Pointed at himself and said, "Hug this please!" With his darling toothless grin. So I did, of course!

Um, forgot what I forgot, but I do love candied pecans Callie! Good choice. And Yeah Capri for booking your flights. Good luck to all of you still studying. Hope it is almost over. OH, Courtney! Don't play to much while the cat is away! :scared1:(from Nathan, who I must go get off to school, and me off to work)

Have a great day all.

That is such a cute story about your son! Love it!
Angie - where you flying out of and what date??? Airline?? I'm thinking either Seattle or Bellingham, yes?

Hi ladies! I am flying out of Bellingham on horizon/alaska the 25th at 5:20am!:scared1: I arrive into LAX at 936am! Trying to get the most time for my money possible!
Hi Gals! So glad you are enjoying your picture. I had a lot of fun putting it together, but it was hard to make sure I got everyone. I am truly sorry for anyone I missed. It was not intentional at all.

Capri, that is awesome! You got a stocking afterall. I want to know more about this APPLE PIE you are making me....:rolleyes1
How is the wine???

Hey if they sent you a bottle of wine, I could get Rosa Regale for way cheaper than what I pay here!!
