Beth - Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry about your van and your tooth and all your tests you have to do. But your positive attitude is inspiring. Trust me, I know how hard that can be when it seems things are weighing down on you from every angle. You are in my thoughts and prayers and wishes for better things to come.
And that goes for all the Divas!
Well, I spent all day at the hospital today with my dad. I didn't get home until 5:30pm, and when I walked in the house, Justin tells me I had a package delivered today. I said, "I did?" And he says, "Yes, were you expecting anything?" I respond, "No, I can't think of anything."
There wasn't a return name on the package......just a California address I didn't recognize. I compare the address to my Christmas card list......nope, none of the addresses match. So now I'm thinking, "Hmmmmm, should I open it? No one has a grudge against me, do they?"
I can't think of anyone who would be mad at me, so Justin says, "Why don't you go ahead and open it."
So I open the box, and inside was the loveliest surprise!!! The box was filled with pretty green and red shredded foil, several wrapped gifts, and the yummiest chocolate cherry flavored candy (which I dove into because I hadn't eaten anything all day....wow DELICIOUS!). There was the most beautiful stocking with pretty beading, and inside the stocking were some gifts wrapped in pretty Christmas paper. I unwrapped the gifts and there was a pretty glittery emory board, some awesome Christmas recipe cards, a cute Disney magnetic shopping list pad, these totally cute Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer socks, a Mickey Mouse head cookie cutter which I always wanted (in the picture the cookie cutter kind of looks like a hidden Mickey - LOL!) and the cutest Christmas kitchen towel set with a Santa scrub sponge......sooooooooo CUTE!
And there was the SWEATEST and SOFTEST polka-dot blankie (Justin tried to call dibs on the blankie so he could snuggle with it, but I said "NO WAY! That's my blankie to snuggle with, but I'll share it with you when I'm using it.)
And there was also PRETTIEST bottle of red wine wrapped up so gorgeous that I didn't even want to open it to see what was inside. I'm thinking about popping the cork in about 15 minutes and relaxing with a glass of wine and a good show.
And there was another wrapped gift in the box, kind of heavy, so I opened it, and it was seriously the most beautiful red ceramic pie plate! And it was nice and deep, so I could make a killer apple pie in it! I can't wait to use it when I'm baking my Christmas pies next week!
There was a little sparkly Santa hat card, and all it said was, "Capri, Merry Christmas. Love a Dis Diva Elf."
Wow, what a wonderful, lovely, most special surprise! Thank you SO MUCH my Diva elf, from the bottom of my heart!!!
How did I get so lucky to have such caring, loving friends? I am truly blessed to have all of you in my life.
