Sheesh! All caught up :P

Welcome Rose! :goodvibes

Are the HoJo gals reserving a Standard or a Deluxe 2 queen room? I don't want to end up in a different tower than the rest of the party. I booked a standard, but I will call and change it if needed. Let me know what y'all have booked. Thanks!
I don't know about towers, but mine and Holly's room is a Disney view.
I just realized today is May 31st! That means....drum roll please.....only 5 more months until Halloween!!
PumpkinFunnyFaceSmile.gif

And even less time until our annual Halloween exchange. :thumbsup2 (for anyone new here wondering why the crazy lady is counting down to Halloween, it's like Christmas to me in terms of holidays)
I don't start the Halloween countdown until after my birthday - July 10th (the big 3-0 this year:scared1:. After that hits I am ready for pumpkin pie, witches, and black and orange.

For the Divas who have booked - who is coming in on Wed?
We are coming in Wednesday evening. At this point my schedule isn't decided (and I probably wont know more until late August) but it is safe to bet we can catch a 6 pm flight down.

Love all the 'special names'.
My stripper name is Mink
My Hillbilly Name Is: Molly Sue Dallas
Dang, you took my stripper name! I guess I should get on here quicker....I tried again and am now called....Peaches! This made me laugh cause I had a few guys I ran around with in high school call me this. Wow....that makes me sound bad :rotfl:

They look just like my kitties!

DH and I decided that after my new premium pass expires next year in July, we will be taking a DL break to save up on vacations to other places. I will still make the Diva trip (thankfully, DH didn't argue) each year, but we want to get the kids out to see the rest of America. Next spring break we are planning on Hawaii, 2014 going to WDW, and we have New Orleans, Boston, and Yellowstone on our list. Since trips will be less frequent, I will be enjoying every moment on site this next year so no venturing to other locations for me on the Diva trip.

I have great news! I was hired to work as a summer school teacher's aide to my BFF in a Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing classroom. The kids are 2nd-5th grades and all are Deaf or have cochlear's. This is super exciting and I am hoping to learn a ton! They don't even mind that I will be out a week due to our family vacation. Sweet!

My hillbilly name is Kissy Cissy Tucker

I actually just booked at the Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim. I wanted to at least secure a rate for myself just in case I can't do better elsewhere :)

you should switch to be with the group. Think we are going to take over Bldg 1!

Yeah, what Bridget said. You need to switch over to the HOJO with the rest of us! :cheer2:

With a Disney view room, you are for sure in building 1. :woohoo:

I *think* Peaches is Linda's stripper name...or someone's stripper name. I remember someone else already having it at least. :goodvibes

Love your hillbilly name! That's a good one! :rotfl:

Congrats on the summer job!

I think we're going to start taking the kids on different vacations as well. Hawaii for sure, Canada, the Caribbean, New England. We'll see. Any travel plans will depend on Ryan's stamina, which sometimes isn't all that great. It's somewhat of a fragile balacing act with him so he doesn't do too much but he also gets to experience as much as possible. If only I could get him to gain a little weight and build up some muscle. He's our 75 pound 13 year old. :sad2:

Waaahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Between here and Facebook, I am sad. I've been reading about everyone's fun plans for this weekend all morning. Segway tours, Disneyland tours and mini meets, breakfast out with family, my cousin is in San Diego, baseball games, the beach, all sorts of fun things!
My big plans? Laundry. Maybe even Walmart. And taking care of Hannah who got sick from Lindsey just four days before school is out and right before finals. :sad2:
Calgon take me away!!! lol

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys their fun plans. :wizard:

Linda, I decided to make a last minute trip to DL tomorrow. Want to meet up some where for lunch? And that goes for anyone else too! :goodvibes
Aww, lucky duck! Have a great time. Say hello to all the ladies for me.
Hope you make it in time for the tour.

Methinks it is going to be a really large and fun gathering this year!!
Methinks you are right!! :cool1:

Hi there Momma :) I lived in Redford Michigan from 2002 - 2007 . I miss the snow and winters ( yes i'm crazy , hah!) Michigan was a great state , it's a shame the economy there is doing so poorly due to the auto industry. I still left a piece of my heart there.
Michigan is so pretty. My family and I did move there from SoCal for a few years. Spent 2004-2007 in Traverse City. But I actually wasn't a fan of the snow. ;) So we ended up in Las Vegas where it's triple digits today!! Not sure that's much better. LOL!

Are you sure you don't wanna book at the Hojo? Be where the main group is? Just askin'. :)

Oh man.....me thinks I'm going to really miss out on alot of fun. Maybe, just maybe, my work deadline will just magically change. Not likely but a girl can wish, right?
Definitely a girl can wish!! :wizard: You never know.
Have fun at DL with your daughter.

$70.00 for a block out pass!! :eek::faint:
WTH?? Wow.

Congrats on the summer job!! Sounds perfect for you.

I think it's a good idea for kids to see other things. I loved that we drove from MI to CA and back again. We saw so much of the U.S. that we wouldn't have otherwise. Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Mall of America, Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial, Black Hills of South Dakota, and just all sorts of fun roadside stops like the Cadillac Graveyard in Texas and other weird things. It's fun.

Hopefully Ryan will build up some strength for lots of fun travels to come. :goodvibes

We're thinking the same thing, well mostly Brad. He loved that we were swimming in the ocean last year while everyone at home was snowed in. We've decided to go to Hawaii in January and skip Disney for a year except as a family. Keira whose 6 is the only one not totally on board but maybe I'll find the money for a short trip to Disney after we go to Hawaii :rolleyes1

I actually would prefer staying at the HoJo just unfortunately I can't afford to pay for the room right now with vacation in a few weeks at the retro rate. Since I work for Marriott I went ahead and booked at the Courtyard just to make sure I have a room. Hoping to switch over though to the HoJo if things work out :)

Speaking of which I would be happy to be a roommate with someone if anyone is looking or wants to. I would prefer staying with someone since I usually travel with my DH and I will be by myself anyway lol. Just throwing that out there :)

You don't pay when you make the reservation :) They just reserve the room on your card - no holding fees - and you are not charged until you check out.

I went and saw Snow White and the Huntsman this morning. It was good. Charlize Theron was spectacular. Kristen Stewart, however, has the emotional range of a teaspoon. Snow White is supposed to be cheerful and happy despite her circumstances. The whole time Kristen had this expression like, "I cannot believe this is happening to me." They really should have searched out a better actress instead of hiring a trendy one.

Jen's right - you don't pay anything now - just upon check out. And you can cancel 48 hours prior since it is a combo of the retro rate and AP discount rate. My suggestions is to book a room since the retro rate will sell out and I am sure you will find a roommate. It always seems like ladies get matched up to rooms just find.

Oh hmm.. maybe I was misunderstanding because through the HoJo site using the retro code/or AP code it said advance payment needed. Should I call then and if so what rate codes should I provide ? Sorry for being a newbie lol :)

If the retro rate is all the nights of your stay then yes, advance payment is required and you lose a night's deposit if you cancel. But since it is only for the first 2 nights - 2/27 and 2/28 and then you get 20% AP discount on the last two, they don't require prepayment and you have up until 48 hours to cancel!

And don't worry about asking questions - we have all been there!

Wait...you're still coming on the ladies trip, right? You'll just sneak off for a few days? :rolleyes1

Wasn't CT amazing as the Queen? Great job. And the effects and scenery were wonderful. I agree about KS. Not a spoiler...but in one scene she is supposed to give this motivational speech... I was not buying it at all.

Looks like Bridget and Jen answered all your questions already. Hope you were able to get booked! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the information ! Will try calling on my lunch break today to secure a room. Any recommendations of room type ? Should I reserve a view room or is any okay ? I want to be as close to the action as I can get lol :thumbsup2

When I booked the other day I didn't have to pay anything. They wanted my credit card number just to hold the room, but nothing was charged. She also informed me about the 48 hour cancellation rule.

My little man just took his first steps tonight!! 3 whole steps without holding onto anything!! He's growing up so fast.

Ask for a room in Bldg. 1. They have premium Disney view rooms, and non view rooms (I think you have a view of the freeway or some buildings, not sure). It's up to you which you prefer. The view rooms are obviously a bit more. But as long as you are in Bldg. 1, that's where most of us are booked. :thumbsup2

Awwww!! That's awesome, Andrea! Time does fly. Better start the baby proofing now. :rotfl:

I will have to call back and make sure we are building 1 too! I forgot to do that part.

And I know, ugh! So much to worry about all of a sudden, lol.

Made my reservation tonight for Feb 27th - March 3rd for a View Room for 2 queen beds ( in case my friend or a roommate comes along) using the AP discount. Since In - House reservations wasn't available over the weekend I reserved it to secure a room , then will call Monday to see if they can apply the Retro rate for the first 2 days of available. I work for a hotel , so I know some tricks of the trade and ours does the same - Always better to be safe than sorry. I texted my friend who is an AP holder who lives an hour away so maybe I can convince her to join us too ! I am super excited and my DH has been supportive too since I have basically no female friends and thinks this will be good for me :)

I am also in Bldg 1 also , woohoo :)

Once they learn how to walk, they are off and running! It's fun to see those first steps and then as parents we wonder why on earth we ever wanted them to walk.... or talk for that matter. :lmao:

:cool1:  Yay! Doesn't it make it feel so much more "real" with an actual reservation? lol Hope your friend can join you, but even if she can't you are going to have a great time. It's a really fun group. :)

I went to Home Depot (to get fertilizer), PetSmart (to donate cat stuff to the rescue group that does the adoptions there), Staples (to buy white out), the grocery store and put gas in the car ($46! OUCH!). Bought my WDW ticket from Underground Tourist to beat the price increase for tomorrow. Grilled sausages and corn on the cob. Pretty much sums up my excitement for the day. LOL

We had Mimi's for lunch today, it was good. :) Then we went to Tap Plastics and got some pieces of acrylic cut so we could make a "viewing box" for our fish tanks, it makes the surface of the water clear so we can look down inside the tanks to see everything, they are pretty cool. Then we went to a fish store where I bought another clam for the tank. I have 3 now, one is teal, one is blue and the new one is beige and blue. So pretty!!!! Now I'm hanging out trying to see what everyone is doing. :) Micah is being silly, the girls are off doing things with friends, it's been a pretty good day.

Oh I did a stripper name generator, I would be Sugar Dazzlebrook.......ROFL!!!!!
