Well, of course we want you there so I'm going to say to get the AP. If you are definitely planning to attend the March trip, then I think it's worth it. Then you'll have it for a whole year in case any other trips come up.

ETA: You could get the SoCal one for $174 and it would be good for the day of the mini meet and all but one day of the March trip.

And if you wanted, you could always upgrade later for the March trip.

I am surprised only a few of us have booked rooms at Hojo's. I know Cheryl and I have reserved rooms for March. Come on you guys, take the plunge. We are gonna have a great time!

Just to keep everyone up to date, I called today to make the dining reservation for our dinner at Cafe Orleans and was told for that large of a party (there are 18 of us) I'd have to book it directly with the restaurant manager.

So they transfered me over there and warned me I might get an answering machine which I did. They also said it could take up to 3 days to hear back from them because the manager might be having two days off.

Anyway, I left a detailed message of what time and day we wanted (between 5 and 5:30 on the 17th) and how many in the group as well as my name and number.
I guess now I'll wait and if I haven't heard back from anyone in 2 days I'll try again.

I just hope by then we are still able to be seated and at the time we want. If not, well, we might have to think of an alternate place to eat.

I just wanted to pop in before I take off for the day. I go back to work on the 21st and the students will start on the 25th. I am really looking forward to going back. Summer flew by! It was fun, though!


I was thinking about how I am going to pay for this trip since money has been so tight with both of us in school. This morning I listed a bunch of stuff on eBay and I have more in the basement that I am going to list. So that will help.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how to save some money without taking any from our regular income?

Oh, and there is always http://www.sunshinerewards.com/signup.php?r=5633. I can make about $30-50 a month just doing surveys and offers...if anyone is interested in making some moolah, take a look.

Anyways, whenever I was tempted to get a latte or fast food, or something extra, I'd say to myself.................."why don't I skip it today, and stash that money away." So that is what I did, and I had a nice little pile going for my extras at DL. I also wanted to surprise my DH, and tell him just before I left, on what I had been doing. Maybe you already do this, but it worked out pretty nice for me.

That is a really good idea! I actually opened a savings account today at my work's credit union. I am going to stash any extra bills I have at the end of the week into it. I really do like your idea and I think I may have a go at it! Thanks!

I also have been doing rebates. I have been doing them for awhile. It takes a while to get the check but when it comes it is nice. I can also stash that away too.

I was so bummed to cancel the ladies meet this year. I don't want to cancel this time, so I am planning WAY ahead!

This day is even crazier than usual! I came to work this morning and got called by one of my client's litigation attorneys to come to court and be an expert witness! Thankfully I had dressed up because I have a meeting later, because the judge would not have liked my usual "casual" attire! Anyway, it went fine and I am waiting now to see how I did (i.e., whether we won!) But it's put me even more behind than usual =-- yikes!

Oh and one more thing--some advice and opinions please:

Is it wrong if you are out shopping with Boy A, see a dress you love and buy it to go to a party with Boy B???????? (Why am I feeling SO guilty????????)

Hey Beth, there is hope even for you on the Wii. I retook the fitness test. I'm about 54 yrs old now. Woohoo. 14 more years and I hit my own age. I cheated of course. I didn't use the nunchuck so it had to adjust the test appropriately. I just can't box yet.

I'm just playing the Wii Sports that came with the system. I feel the Wii Fitness Test that is on Wii Sports is really just a reflection of how well you play the games. Not how "fit" you are.
