I'm OFF for the trip. I need to win the lottery to be able to come, then I can quit work. Month-end is less than fun. Messes up all travel plans.

Better figure out that phone by March. I want text messages to tell me what's going on. That way I can at least feel like I'm there with you guys. You can all take turns and send me one during the trip...spread them out.

Quick question ladies!
I'm planning my WDW trip for 2010, well as much planning as I CAN do since I don't have the money just yet nor are the rates/packages out.

I was just wondering for those of you who live in So. California, where do you usually fly out of? LAX, ONT, or BUR?

What airline do you find the cheapest for a R/T, non-stop or one-stop w/o changing planes to Orlando?

I just want to get some sort of estimate so I can save $100-$150 more than that because I know ticket prices will be up in 1.5 years.

Well, I don't live in SoCal, but I did fly from San Jose to LAX to MCO on Delta the last time we went to the World. That was the cheapest, most direct flight I could find without going through SFO.

Now ADRs, that's one of my favorite WDW subjects!
I second Crystal Palace for a before the park opening breakfast. Pooh characters, good food.
We really enjoyed LeCellier in Epcot Canada.
Hated Hollywood and Vine in DS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We also did not love Captain Jacks in DTD
Loved Ohana for dinner in the Poly
Enjoyed the Tepan Restaurant in Epcot Japan

There is also a lot of really good Counter Service in WDW. Way better than DLR, IMO.
Flame Tree BBQ in AK
Fish and Chips in Epcot England
Pecos Bills in MK

OK that's all I can come up with right now. It's been almost 2 years since I've been to the World, and I'm feeling a bit rusty. Maybe it's time to start planning another trip....................

I just got back from the 12:01 showing of the Dark Knight.
OMG that's all I can say, it's such a great movie. Heath Ledger was stellar as the Joker and I'm so sad that he has died because he was an amazing actor. After watching the movie for a bit (it's 2.5 hours long) I forgot it was Heath Ledger, he just totally took on the character.

I haven't seen a movie like this, where there's so much to take in and you find yourself saying WHAT JUST HAPPENED?, in a LONG time.

That sucks! So sorry Beth! We've been through 2 weeks of car hell here too. My air went out, has a major leak that is quoting 1500 to fix (and I know you understand what it is like to be here with no air!! in a minivan at that! My poor kids in the back..)

So we plan to use our stimulus check to fix the air, and the day after we put the check in the bank, Paul's transmission goes out in his car. So in the grand scheme of things, as hot as this darn town is, tranny wins over air conditioning. So his car is fixed but I am still HOT! Debating whether to just get a new van since mine is getting close to 100,000 miles. And his car is really small so it makes it difficult for me to use it since I do the kids drop offs/pick ups. So I stay hot. And not wanting to spend my treasured Oct DLR fund on the darn repair. We'll see...

Hope everything works out with the car. I'd refer you to a mechanic, but the one we used was awful!

Thanks Cristabel. So far it seems it might just be the battery. This time anyway. Our mini van is older then dirt and we really need a new one. But the thought of a $300-$500 new car payment every month is just not going to happen. Not any time soon. So in the mean time we keep the bubble gum and duct tape handy!!
A prayer or two would probably help as well.

Thanks. Oh man, no A/C??? You poor thing. I would be mighty cranky if I had to drive around with no air conditioning.

Don't you just hate cars?? I really do. They are so expensive to buy, and to fix. And then unless you know something about cars when they do break you are totally at the mercy of the mechanic. And we've had a few really bad ones too.

I can't believe our van is actually still going. It's a 1996 and has OVER 200,000 miles on it!! We've run that thing into the ground. But it's gotten us from CA to MI. From MI to FL and back. And then from MI to NV. Oh, and to DL a few times for the last year.

Oh well, maybe we should hit the Strip and see if we can get lucky!

Wii Fit is a new accesory for the Nintendo Wii that is basically an oversized bathroom scale that allows you to do fitness training, aerobics, strength training and play balance games with your Wii.

We just got ours today and I am trying not to crack up as I am half watching DH virtual hula hoop while I am typing this.

Anyhow, if someone can please add me as a tentative to the trip, that would be great. I would also be highly interested in participating in the VIP tour.

Chances are I will make it, but DH and DS will probably tag along too, so I will be at parts, but not all get togethers.
