For anyone less ambitious and with a Cost Plus nearby, they have a kit/mix for monkey bread.

Oh, now you tell me! I drove right by Cost Plus on the way to the grocery store. :rotfl:

OK, gotta stick my sleepy kid in the car and go pick up hubby at his mom's. Today was the celebration of his dad's life (aka time for MIL to sob and wonder why DH doesn't bring our son, aka tomorrow's the second anniversary of FIL's death) and MIL has a small shindig in some sort of Korean or Korean Buddhist tradition, but transportation got goofed up. Hubby left from work to get there by bus, and was supposed to get home with his brother who lives in the same town as us, but turns out his sister (and two kids and brother of her late boyfriend) had MIL pick them up in Seattle...so hubby had to take MIL's car and drive to North Seattle to take them home, and now he's on the way to his mom's, and instead of just lending him her car, Eamon and I have to go get him.

Ugh.

That has nothing to do with anything, but the good thing is, when I post late like this, very few people see it or respond to it! :rotfl: :rotfl:

What's worse is that tonight of all nights, DS wanted to go to bed EARLY. Poor thing.

Ugh, what a rough day for you and your son!

Come on. We'll slap a lime green mickey head on it and then everyone will want to have one as well. :thumbsup2 Trust me.

In that case, sign me up for 5!!!!

Drat! My late night posting was found! :goodvibes

Gawd that was a pain. And DS didn't even have the decency to fall asleep in the car. I *thought* he was asleep, then I got to MIL's town and was on the long long multi-lane road into the city, and was waiting at a long stoplight, when suddenly I hear "go, Mowy, go!" (he calls me by my first name b/c 1. I don't care, 2. I called my mom by her first name, and 3. I don't talk in "3rd person" to him because it makes me twitch LOL, and hubby calls me Molly, so he just never GOT that I was anything but 'Mowy' (except for when he thought my name/title was MILK))

He nearly frightened me out of my skin! And had to explain red lights, yet again. :)

Then he was still awake when we got to MIL's apt complex, then hubby engaged him in conversation instead of being quiet, etc etc, and so he was still up and eating a Korean apple/pear hybrid thing at 11pm. :headache:

I read this last night and today I was driving with my 3 year old niece in the car and everytime she saw a red light she'd yell at me to slow down...even though the red light wasn't for me. Then we got stopped by a train, and once it went by she was yelling at me to "GO!"...even though the crossing bars hadn't gone up yet. She's my little backseat driver! :rotfl2:

There you go again, with your PMS talk! :rotfl:

I thought the same thing when I read her post! :lmao:

I was AT Cost Plus when you were posting! :)

Eamon is usually pretty good about rules of the road but sometimes he gets it wrong like last night.

He didn't even have the decency to sleep in any extra this morning, grr.

AND I had to wake up hubby b/c he fell back to sleep and was mega-late in getting up. The dude likes having 2 hours to get ready (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes longer than I generally took when I was working) and he only had about 20 minutes this AM, whoopsie!

Eamon makes me crack up!

LOL--when I heard on the morning news this morning that it was raining in Vegas my first thought was "Beth is going to be SO excited!" LOL
And you were right!!

I think we should put all the ride weenies in one log on Splash (yes, me included)--can't wait to see THAT picture.
:lmao: That's a great idea. My pic is always the same on Splash, long hair flying back, mouth wide open screaming. But I love it! :yay:

Too funny about those purses! LOL!

Yay, Beth! It's raining over here too!:cool1:

I love the rain, especially near the holidays because then I just HAVE to snuggle up with (insert who ever is in the vicinity at the time) and watch A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING!:lovestruc
OMG, I love to snuggle in the rain. After I came back inside this morning, I opened my bedroom window and woke Ruben up so we could snuggle in the cold. :lovestruc

Would you believe I have never seen a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving? :rolleyes1

Now, I just need to find a way to get out of work early to enjoy the bounty that Mother Nature has given us today!
I hope you are able to get out. I had such a nice time walking around Target and Kohls looking at all the holiday merchandise and listening to the Christmas music. :goodvibes

I often wonder if something like that happened with many of the current and recent trends! :headache:
Probably. And someone somewhere is laughing their butt off. LOL

Sorry it's so big. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and weekend.

Cute ticker Callie! I should put one in my sig. I will, after Christmas. Then I'll add the Disneyland trip and the Vegas trip countdowns.

I'm baaaack!

I got off work early today. I cured everyone, sent them home, and now here I am. DH is still at work, so I have to drag the boys out a little later to pick him up. (We rode to work together today.)

I've read through everything. I work for two days and you all add 6 pages! You all made me laugh and smile. I really can't wait to meet you all in person.

I'll ride in the ride-weenie log, BUT I'm claiming a middle seat now. I want someone to lean one, and someone behind me to catch me when I pass out. :scared1: :scared:

We had a hard rain for about one minute. I love the way the desert smells after a rain.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What channel and time is the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on?

YAY!!! You're going on Splash!!!
I'm claiming back seat. It's roomier for my big booty. :rotfl:

Hi Heather! Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was on last night on ABC. I'm not sure if they are repeating it at all on any other network. :confused3

Happy Thanksgiving!
Aw darn. I missed it.

Quiet here tonight.....

Is everyone busy baking pies??

That would be a big fat NO! I don't bake... that is DH's job, and he's pretty darn good at it. He made a pumpkin cheesecake for my staff potluck on Monday that was a huge hit.

But, instead of baking (since we are having Thanksgiving with 14 friends tomorrow and someone else is in charge of dessert), we are catching up on all the movies we never made it to the theater to see this summer. Last night was Tropic Thunder, which Dave loved and I thought was just alright. Tonight's early movie was Indy and TKOTCS, which was good but I can't picture watching it over and over again like the older Indy movies. The late movie tonight will be Get Smart, which I am looking forward to, but don't have too high of expectations for. And then tomorrow I think we'll watch Wall-E after the parade but before we have to be at our friend's house.

Have a wonderful holiday everyone and enjoy the shopping deals of Friday!

Close!

My youngest niece has been with me all day, she even came to work with me.

I had to snap this shot, because this is what I look like all day at work:

After work we went to Target and I had to buy this set for her:

Then when we came home, we made Monkey Bread!
