I went out this evening and bought all the stuff needed to make Monkey Bread, I can't wait until I have some free time to make it!!!!

For anyone less ambitious and with a Cost Plus nearby, they have a kit/mix for monkey bread.

OK, gotta stick my sleepy kid in the car and go pick up hubby at his mom's. Today was the celebration of his dad's life (aka time for MIL to sob and wonder why DH doesn't bring our son, aka tomorrow's the second anniversary of FIL's death) and MIL has a small shindig in some sort of Korean or Korean Buddhist tradition, but transportation got goofed up. Hubby left from work to get there by bus, and was supposed to get home with his brother who lives in the same town as us, but turns out his sister (and two kids and brother of her late boyfriend) had MIL pick them up in Seattle...so hubby had to take MIL's car and drive to North Seattle to take them home, and now he's on the way to his mom's, and instead of just lending him her car, Eamon and I have to go get him.

Ugh.

That has nothing to do with anything, but the good thing is, when I post late like this, very few people see it or respond to it! :rotfl: :rotfl:

What's worse is that tonight of all nights, DS wanted to go to bed EARLY. Poor thing.

My issue with Spalsh is well.....the splash. My hair doesn't take well to getting wet like that.

Same with me! See, it's all about the name!!

I'm going to buy you one of those hair ponchos that the older ladies wear in the rain to protect their hair. You'll be looking stylin! :rolleyes1

Like I would be seen in public with something like my mom used to wear! I don't think so!!

Drat! My late night posting was found! :goodvibes

Gawd that was a pain. And DS didn't even have the decency to fall asleep in the car. I *thought* he was asleep, then I got to MIL's town and was on the long long multi-lane road into the city, and was waiting at a long stoplight, when suddenly I hear "go, Mowy, go!" (he calls me by my first name b/c 1. I don't care, 2. I called my mom by her first name, and 3. I don't talk in "3rd person" to him because it makes me twitch LOL, and hubby calls me Molly, so he just never GOT that I was anything but 'Mowy' (except for when he thought my name/title was MILK))

He nearly frightened me out of my skin! And had to explain red lights, yet again. :)

Then he was still awake when we got to MIL's apt complex, then hubby engaged him in conversation instead of being quiet, etc etc, and so he was still up and eating a Korean apple/pear hybrid thing at 11pm. :headache:

...check your PMs!! :santa:

There you go again, with your PMS talk! :rotfl:

I just have to brag about my DD. We got her report card yesterday and it was quite amazing. All A's and one B. And two of the A's were A+. She is at a college prep type school and her classes are weighted, she ended up with a 4.5 GPA. I am so proud of her. And she still had time to be on the flag football team and the computer club. I was a bit worried since this is the number one school in the county, but she showed she deserves to be there. Just had to brag.

That is awesome!!

YES--I AM A CANDIDATE FOR SAINTHOOD
:rotfl2:

It's only a 50 foot drop, so not nearly as bad as you think. Come'on, even the "ride weenies" are doing it! (I figure if we can talk you into reading Twilight, we can talk you into a little ride with Brer Rabbit!)

"Ride weenies!" Love the term! We seem to have a few of them out there, don't we? :rotfl:

Having a gorgeous overcast coolish day here in Phoenix. Finally feels like Fall. Can't wait for the rain! :cool1:
Same here! I love it! :cloud9:

I need some Christmas cheer. I can't believe I could give a care-less if Christmas happened this year. I don't want to be a grinch, but really, my family has gotten out of control with their petty fights. :sad2:

Hubby has agreed to plan for me to go on this trip (what he thought we were doing before, I'm not quite sure!).

But he says that instead of all three of us going right back down at the end of March for his b'day, that he and DS should go down alone.

I said "yes, of course, good plan!" quickly, and not FIVE minutes later was almost in tears, thinking of them going alone and how much fun they would have and how awful it would be up at home alone!

I have obviously lost my mind.:sad2:
Awww! Come with us. YOu will get your time again with your family!

:rotfl: Well, I won't do Screamin. Done it before, but won't do it again. So you're already showing me up!! LOL
"Ride weenie.":rolleyes1

OK, so you love Space and Screamin, but won't do Splash?? Not even with a poncho or two or three? We can cover you head to toe. :rotfl:
::yes::

Go ahead and brag!! You deserve the rights. My DD got excellent grades too. All As and one B- in Geometry Honors. So we should be proud parents. :cloud9:

Why would you put sexy in quotes? Doesn't everybody think of him that way?
As for the kiss, Kirk does an Elvis show at a bar in Fullerton every Wednesday, and Marty and I went and saw it last week. He sings for about 30 minutes, then takes a 30 minute break, sings for 30 minutes, etc. It's very casual, and he interacts with the people in the bar during his show and comes out and hangs whith whoever's there during his breaks. Well, he likes his Corona, and drinks it throught the night, so by the time we were leaving, he was feeling very friendly, and so was I:lovestruc Just a totally innocent hug and kiss goodbye in a seedy bar!

When in a pinch, they're really not toooooooo bad. :lmao:

Finally a perfect use for that smilie! :rotfl:
:love1: Just had to use it again!

Once again I am procrastinating on doing my statistics homework.

Have a great day everyone!!

Don't do anything I wouldn't do while I'm gone! ;)
Never!!!!

:rotfl: Edward would make my holidays better! :santa: :thumbsup2
I wish I could wrap him up for you! :santa: :cloud9:

Nothing to see here...go to the next post, please...
Huh?????

I read it. What a fiasco!! :sad2:

Come on. We'll slap a lime green mickey head on it and then everyone will want to have one as well. :thumbsup2 Trust me.
Better yet...................let's make some up ahead of time with all kinds of Mickey heads, and secretly sell them on the side. I bet we could make a killing!! :thumbsup2

 :dance3: :yay: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Morning all!!

Guess what? Guess what? Guess what? Guess what? :yay: :yay: :yay:

It's raining here!!! Real rain, not the two little drops they usually like to call rain. :rotfl:

I am so thrilled. It woke me up at 5:50 this morning, so I jumped up, turned off the alarm and went outside to enjoy it. :cloud9:
Ruben too the Jeep today so I could run some errands and now I get to run them in the rain!! :woohoo:

Have a great day ladies! Talk to ya later!!

LOL--when I heard on the morning news this morning that it was raining in Vegas my first thought was "Beth is going to be SO excited!" LOL

Stacerita: whoo hoo for your DDs report card! You're entitled to be a proud Mom.

I think we should put all the ride weenies in one log on Splash (yes, me included)--can't wait to see THAT picture.

LOL--all the talk about making the hair net the next new trend reminds me of a story--a friend of mine, also in the shopping center industry, is just a kick. Well, a few years ago she found these purses in a catalog that were plastic watering can shaped. kinda like this:

http://www.pylones-usa.com/pylones/item.php?product=578&item=PY-WABLA

but in wild colors like this:

http://presentpicker.com/ppp/product/kitchenmiranda/wateringcm.jpg

Anyway, she ordered some for her nieces and when they came another lady also in the shopping center industry saw it and my friend--being the wild and crazy person she was--lied to this woman and said they were the NEXT big trend and all the stores on Rodeo Drive were selling them!!!!! So this lady insisted that my friend sell one of the purses to her and started telling all HER friends--and at the next shopping center convention there was a boatload of ladies carrying around these crazy purses--i.e., "the next big thing"

It was all my friend could do to keep a straight face when running into people she knew (and even those she didn't know) who were carrying them around!

Thanks!

And the pic from the ride on Splash will look like all mine look. Me ducking down and trying to cover my face and hair as much as possible. Just with a whole log of us doing that. :)

Yay, Beth! It's raining over here too!:cool1:

I love the rain, especially near the holidays because then I just HAVE to snuggle up with (insert who ever is in the vicinity at the time) and watch A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING!:lovestruc

I would agree that the rain is definitely making it feel more like Thanksgiving than it did a couple of days ago! Yay for rainy days and holiday movies. Now, I just need to find a way to get out of work early to enjoy the bounty that Mother Nature has given us today!

omg Toocherie, that's a funny story about the purses.

I often wonder if something like that happened with many of the current and recent trends! :headache:
