Yep. People pay good money for that. :thumbsup2

I was going to go to go chill with the tv, but ended up posting the pics from the Bellagio today on my TR if anyone wants to see them. Some food porn too. ;)

And since they are so addicting, I had to take the holiday food quiz too!

You Are a Gingerbread House

A little spicy and a little sweet, anyone would like to be lost in the woods with you.

What Holiday Food Are You?

Now, I'm outta here!

Darn right people pay good money for that. Well, maybe that would be bad money. Or even naughty money at that point.

Whoa, you too!? If I'm gonna get paid for it, I guess I should invest in a whip. :rotfl2:

Come on now. Who do you think I'm dating? He may love LPFs, but thats about as far as it goes. Unless he is trying to make some money on the side that I don't know about. Hmmmm?

Time to Google him! ;) :rotfl2:

Then again, don't. I found out some things about my boyfriend (now ex boyfriend) that I wish I had never found out. lying, cheating, piece of...

Hi girls! I thought I'd make you all a little bit jealous because I had the most awesome night.

Diana (my older DSis) and I went to the laundry mat to wash blankets for my mom. After we were done we went to a charity bingo being held by one of the local Starbucks stores. My sister is a sbux barista so that's how she knew about it. Well you had to bring a toy, for either boy or girl, and then you could play bingo until they stopped. They were giving away prizes! I won SOOO much stuff. I'm like the bingo master! I won my sister and I about $20 in gift cards and on my own I won 5 mugs (extremely cute....and pricey in the store) and because I won the first round of blackout bingo (you have to cover all the squares) I won a gift set put together that was a ceramic pitcher and inside it had a whisk, spatula, brownie mix, a holiday towel, and candies. Diana won about four mugs herself. It was awesome!

After that we were heading to the family Christian store so I could buy Anais (my little DSis) her Christmas gift and we decided to pull over at Linens 'n' Things to see what they still had since they are going out of business. The store looked like it was ransacked. I grabbed a shopping cart and if I found something interesting I just threw it in (don't worry we purged while in line at the register). I found my BFIL (boyfriend-in-law) (very funny but now that I think of it, it's kinda gross:lmao: ) the perfect Christmas gift. It's a plastic football and when you push the button in front it plays the NFL music and the tip slides horizontally open and it stores snack food! I knew just by looking at it that it would make a perfect Christmas gift.

I still need to get my dad's gift but he's the last one on my list! And I have spent less than $60 on four people so far. I don't know what to get my dad but I'm going to do some online scouting.

Yeah, that was my little essay for the day :lmao: Sorry bout that.

Good night!

Wow! What a fun day and you did good girl!!

BTW, I love your little avatar with the mice and candy cane. It's so cute!:cutie:

Morning gals.

Beth that is just Nuts about the calendar. Yeah I bought mine before thanksgiving. They put a calendar store in our mall that is run by borders and they usually set it up right after halloween. I go there every year because I like the Lang calendars and I usually get a large one for my wall and a small one for my purse and then I get the little girls one for their room and Lynn one. Well I usually get Lynn a Harry Potter one or a Pirates one but this year I saw the twilight one and since she is almost 17 I thought what the heck. I don't know that she is even into twilight but what teen wouldn't be into vampires OR cute guys right. And to think it is SO popular. I guess I scored! I am sure she will like it. Heck if I would have known you wanted one I could have gotten you one back then when they were cheap. Sorry. I am sure they are LONG gone here too.

And about the fog I know what you mean. It gets REALLY bad here too. Especially by our airport which sucks cuz it makes it bad on flights. We have a lot of rice fields and agg fields around here and the fog just lays in those areas with the water etc. We have had some REALLY bad wrecks. One I remember with over 100 cars. It is scary. In fact when we landed from Florida the other day it was 8 something at night and it was already socked in. I HATE landing or taking off in fog!

Anyway had to work yesterday and it was ok. Not too stressful although I did have one moron vendor call me and tell me a bill was late and I was like NOT another one. I get this phone call from an automated machine that says it is from a leasing company (no name) saying my bill was late. I just HAPPENED to answer the phone and I was like what the hay? So I called the number and I was like WHO is this. Then the guy was real evasive and I finally got him to tell me it was our copier company. Well I had paid the bill ONLINE and gotten a receipt from our bank in November and then they sent me our dec bill and they had applied someone ELSE's money to our acct and said I only owed like HALF of what I normally owe for our Dec payment. I knew something wasn't right so on Monday I called and the lady said she got TWO payments. She DID get the nov payment and then got a SECOND payment which was this bogus one. We didn't owe ANOTHER payment till Dec 30! So I said well there was a mistake and she said ok well I will take it off and just pay your normal amount on the 30th. So then I get this moron calling saying we are 10 days LATE. I was like WHAT! So I tell him oh NO YOU DON"T. I PAID my bill for nov and the broad TOLD me she got it and he admitted that my nov bill was paid and I was like and I DON'T OWE dec's till the 30th so what the h e double hockey sticks are you claiming I owe! So they were totally screwed up and I was getting po'd. I went off on the dude cuz after having 3 different checks go missing and then this I was like NO MORE!

Plus on top of it our copier lease is up and we are getting a new one next week and the sales guy said don't pay the Dec bill cuz it is a pre-pay thing and the dec bill is actually for Jan. So we will get the NEW copier and then a NEW bill for the new amount. Gee let me think. I will bet money there will be ANOTHER screw up. I can't WAIT for that! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Anyway gotta love working in Accts payable/receivable. I still think those other two bills are sitting on the desk of that other company but whatever. It just irks me that that charged my mom 40 bucks in late fees. I mean when you have a good rapport with clients you just don't do that. I get people to waive the late fees ALL the time because we are NEVER late and if they can't accept that something got lost in the mail I mean COME ON! Plus to me 40 bucks is ridiculous plus they cut her off and she was out of business for several days. But anyway.

So today is the first performance and the two birthdays. Wish me luck that I make it through all this craziness LOL. Lynn had to be at work at 7 a.m. after getting off at 9 last night and she gets off at 3 so Shane will have to pick her up cuz I will be with Shelby at the roller rink.

I am going to take pics today and tomorrow.

I was thinking it might be fun to post pics of our christmas trees. I have some on my camera and I was going to post on my other sight once I finish with the pics this weekend. What do you think? Thought it might be kind of fun if people are up for it. We do it on my other sight. Only if people are up for it.

I hate chasing down and trouble shooting stuff that is due to someone's mistake. When all is said and done, I feel like they owe me a penalty.

I llike the idea of posting tree pictures. I will get to work on that right away.

Cool! :) Like I said we do that on my military wives site and it is lots of fun and gets you in the holiday spirit. I am going to take pics of the girls performances today and tomorrow and then I will download my pics after that and I will post my tree pic tomorrow afternoon. Of course mine is a fake tree but I am pretty happy with it.

Last year we bought a "slim" tree by mistake and it was SOOO skinny it was pathetic so then the day after christmas I got a beautiful 9 footer at Walmart for WAY cheap. Like most I prefer the real ones but I just can't stomach paying those prices AND I feel like I am doing my part to save a tree! :) plus this way I can keep it up and it won't get sap and needles all over my house and on and on. So I look forward to seeing everyone's trees who would like to share. :)

Ok I am off to watch some more lost until I have to leave. See you guys later!

And you would know that how, exactly?
Just a lucky guess of course.

Whoa, you too!? If I'm gonna get paid for it, I guess I should invest in a whip. :rotfl2:
Don't forget the paddle, handcuffs, eye mask, ball gag, and leash. If you're gonna do it, do it right. :thumbsup2

:rotfl:

lying, cheating, piece of...
Yikes! Sounds like a real catch. Glad he's an "ex" now.

Hi girls! I thought I'd make you all a little bit jealous because I had the most awesome night.
I am jealous! I never win anything. Ever. Anywhere. :sad2: (well, there was this one time at DL with a little help from some stalkers.....I mean friends, LOL)
Congrats!!! Glad you had fun.

I guess I scored!

You did score! You could sell it on ebay. LOL
Ugh, sorry about the work hassles.
Good luck today!!!!

Oooooh, I can't wait to see them! I love seeing decorated trees. I'll post mine too. Once I take some that is. :rotfl:

I hope everyone has a great day today. Ruben is off again, so we are getting ready to head out and do something.
It's my DS Adam's birthday tomorrow, but we are going to celebrate today. He wants to go eat at Red Robin, so I know that's on the agenda, followed by cake and presents. Other then that......I'm not sure.

Anyway, talk to y'all later!

Wow, you are one lucky lady! I love the football gift! Sounds pretty awesome.:rotfl:

Morning!

I went to our work Christmas Party last night. The only person who got drunk was my manager. :scared1: She's so funny normally last night was a treat for all of us. You just never know when a group of wild and crazy nurses get together!

I love the idea of popsting tree pics. I normally have a huge live tree, but since we are living in this little apartment here ins Tucson, I have a little tree on a table. It actually works out well since it makes it harder for the boys to reach the fragile ornaments at the top. DH strapped the tree down to the table this year. Last year, the cat knocked it on the floor twice. I can't wait until Christmas 2010 when I can have my big tree again (we're moving back East that summer.)

I'll post my pics here in a little bit!

Oh, and I've read everything, and am amazed at what a great group of women we are. It seems like we always have something fun and fabulous going on. I'm living through some of you right now!

Hey there, whatchya up to this weekend? :)

Oh, and my Mimi's coupon is gone now. If anyone wants one, Molly might still have hers!
That was nice of you, and Molly, to share your coupons. I thought about it since we have a Mimi's right down the street, but even with a coupon eating out with six people is expensive, and I knew Adam wanted Red Robin this weekend.

I'm still here hanging out waiting for everyone to get ready and finish a bit of homework before we go out. My family is slower than molasses in January when it comes to getting out the door.

I was sitting here and realized I can post last year's Christmas tree pics!! They are almost identical to this year. I have three trees but only put up two. I got lazy. LOL

This is the kid's tree in the family room. It's our little "Charlie Brown" tree because it's so small and scrawny looking. The kids decorate it entirely themselves with their ornaments. Some are homemade, some from Hallmark, from Disney, from various vacations, and from the Dollar Store. :rotfl:
The only difference this year is it has my Tinkerbell tree topper on it and a few more Hallmark ornaments I bought on sale after last Christmas.

Blurry close up of some of the ornaments:

Then this is the other tree that I have in the living room. It's got ornaments of various shapes and sizes, all in different shades of gold and bronze. It has gold ribbon, and white and gold poinsettias.
You can't tell in the pics, but some of the ornaments are plain and some have different jewels on them. Definitely off limits to the kids since they are easily breakable.

DSCF3652.jpg

In this one you can sort of make out my Tink tree topper, which is now on the kids tree and instead I have a gold angel. And also last year I had no tree skirt! So after Christmas I bought a large satin gold one that is currently under there.

DSCF3649.jpg

So there ya have it. Nothing fancy, but it gets us in the spirit of the season! :santa: :goodvibes

Next? :yay:

While looking through last years pics, I came across two from our visit to Ethel M's Chocolate Factory. We've been already this year too, but didn't take any pics.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share them as well. If anyone is in Vegas over the holidays, this is worth going out to see.
(Amy and Jane, if you haven't been yet this month, I'd highly recommend it! The kids will be in awe. It's like 2 or 3 acres and everything is covered in lights, they give free chocolate samples, and on select nights Santa is there. Best of all, it's FREE! LOL)
