Girls Only Trip (old thread, link to new thread in first post)

Yay I figured it out!! Woo Hoo. Oh and Beth I found a twilight calendar at our local calendar store that was run by borders but I KNOW I didn't pay that much for it. That is weird that they are charging that much! I think I paid like 13 or 14 bucks. I am sure it is probably the same one you saw cuz on the cover it says borders exclusive. I wonder why they are charging so much where you are at. Have you tried looking online? That is nuts! I got my stepdaughter that calendar for christmas.

Anyway I am off to bed. Have a good night ladies. Work tomorrow and then my CRAZY weekend. It should be fun yet crazy.

We have the performance at the retirement home on Saturday and then I am taking Shelby to a birthday party and then I made a deal with Katy that she could go to her friends party for a few hours. NO sleepover but she could just go during Shelby's party since I DID promise her first. Plus this is a little girl she wants to invite to HER birthday in a few weeks. And then Shane is going to have to leave his side job to take lynn to work or pick her up depending on her schedule which we STILL don't know yet. Then on Sunday I have to be at church at 8:30 for sound checks and they have to perform at the 9:30 service AND the 11:00 one and then we are staying for lunch and they are building gingerbread houses. Luckily my parents aren't working out of town on Sunday so they will be able to take Lynn to work so shane won't have to leave his side job. He is going to go to the early service and then go to his job. CRAZY CRAZY weekend but I am really excited to see the girls perform.

And then next week is their last week of school till the break. I told Lynn she could tell McDonald's that she would be available to work during the break but I hope I don't regret it. Normally she only works Fridays Saturdays and Sundays but now that means she will be available the entire two weeks she is off on vacation and that means I may be having to take her and pick her up every day. I may end up regretting that LOL.

We shall see I guess. The sucky part is they usually don't tell her her hours until the very last minute which makes it impossible to plan anything AND I think they are open on Christmas eve and New year's eve etc. It was bad enough she had to work on Halloween and Shane had to leave right in the middle of trick or treating to go pick her up and she is going to miss Katy's birthday and we always have a family birthday party for Katy on her actual birthday which is New Year's eve and I will bet money they will want her to work since she is the newbie and the others will want it off. So I guess we shall see.

Anyway I am off to go nighty night. See you gals in the morning!

Good Morning ladies!!

Well this is my day...................

Take DD Kaitlyn to school. Come home and clean up garage. Why am I cleaning the garage this time of year you ask? Because the bloomin water softerner hose came loose, and flooded the floor and all kinds of stuff. So for 3 days, we have had fans and a flame thrower trying to dry things out. And it's cold and foggy here this time of year. I think the high yesterday was 49-50 and drizzly. So just because we live in California, doesn't mean you live in nice weather all year long. It's been so foggy the last few days, that schools and busses got cancelled this week. So instead of snow days, it's foggy days.

I'm digressing here................but there was a big pile up on Wednesday on the 99 due to the fog, where we live. The first thing I thought about was my son, who drives it everyday to work. Come to find out, he was right at the end of it, and swerved to the middle divider to avoid it. And my Grandson was with him on the way to school!!! I think this pile up consisted of about 32 cars. Horrible this fog!!!

Anywhos, I then have to make 9 ornaments for an exchange. I have known this for months.............................and here I am making them at the last minute. My excuse, is not deciding what to do. I have decided to make felt birds with embroidered flowers and beads on them. At least that is what I think I'm doing. If I don't like the way the first one comes out, then I will change it up. The sample will be mine! (I have to be done by Monday).

Then off to my SIL's 50th surprise birthday party tonight. I'm going to wear a new black velvet suit to it. Ooh la la!! Now all I need, is some of those hot shoes, that Beth is aways wearing around the house.

Kelly, I am doing a Christmas cantata on Sunday at our church. Tomorrow is our last rehersal. The kids are also doing a performance too, but alas.... mine are all grown up.

I'm so glad your family is ok. How scary for them!

Good luck with your birds. When I volunteer to get things done, I've learned I have to do them right away, or I'll end up staying up all night the night before things are due. I'm crazy like that.

Sounds like you need to carry a big stick tonight to fight all the men off.

Kelly - The Twilight calendar was originally sold for around $13 at Borders, but it quickly sold out and none of the Borders here have it, neither does Borders.com. So the only place to find it is online and that's where it's selling for such outrageous prices!!


Melody - When my mom lived in Hanford, I remember visiting her and the fog was awful. You couldn't see across the street!!! It's no joke. Scary stuff. Sorry about the hassles with your garage. What a pain.

Well, I read back but that's all I can recall right now. I'm so tired! We were out all day. Part fun time and part errand running. The Bellagio was so pretty! They really did a nice job. I took lots of pics. I'll post them tomorrow. Right now all I want to do is chill out with the tele.
