Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Speaking of cell phone commercials... I like the new AT&T touch pad commercial just because Journey's "Any Way You Want It" is playing. I LOOOOVE Journey.

I absolutely LOVE Journey too. I just love Steve Perry's voice!

My DD 12 loves Journey. I always think it's weird when she asks me to crank the radio when one of their songs come on. But I guess their music is timeless.

Did you know that Journey has a new front man that took the place of Steve Perry?? He's actually a young guy from Taiwan or maybe it's the Philippines?? Anyway he's spot on with his voice & anything you hear on commercials or new media is him.

I don't know the lingo :confused3:confused:

We should plan something.

:cool1:

I love Seattle.
I just wish my job was there & then I would move.

So Theresa? When are you going to be in Seattle this summer? I have been thinking of taking the kids down to the zoo...maybe we could plan something for while you're down there? With enough advance notice I am sure lots of us could make it....isn't Molly from the seattle area?

Please, 7 years of marriage and no tv and the DH is still in his 20's...not good.

That didn't come out the way I meant it LOL! Not no tv for all 7 years, just very, very limited in the past 4...since the first kiddo came along...maybe that's it...maybe it is having kids that makes tv watching take a decline.

What is animal style ??? And is a 4X4 four patties and four cheese :scared1:

It's basically just the burger with the cheese grilled on the bread with mustard and then they add grilled onions. You can also get the fries animal style.

And yes a 4x4 is 4 patties and 4 slices of cheese. My DS would eat 2 if I let him.

Any of you married ladies notice that when you get married your TV watching days start to dwindle? What's up with that...is it in tiny print in the marriage license or something?:headache:

Yes, but that's just because I don't like him very much .

Ok folks, I am finally going home! DH took computer to work so I won't be on tonight...

Later,
Sarah

What's the deal with In & Out?

I have never been there.

In & Out is SO yummy! :thumbsup2 I am not a condiment person so I order mine with grilled onions only (meat, cheese, grilled onions). It's like a patty melt on a bun! Yum!

You guys probably will think I am crazy but I don't do condiments. I don't like mayo, ketchup, mustard (can't even handle the smell of that stuff), ranch dressing, etc. I think the only "sauce" I like is bbq sauce.

I think I just might do that :thumbsup2

I thought you might watch some TV in Vegas :confused3 :rolleyes1

Hmmm. Maybe. Depends if he shows up. AND more importantly--if I feel like it at the time. But actually, I think not. Kinda been there--done that--KWIM?

Ok ladies--help me before I buy a DOG!!!!!! (I mean it--I'm looking at Corgis and there's a breeder over by DL that has three 9 week old puppies . . .. )

You can live in CA! Lancaster, CA has homes for 130k! I don't know about teaching positions but you could always commute via metrolink :goodvibes And you are maybe 2 hours from Disneyland and we have In-n-Outs but cheesecake factory would be far for you.

Lancaster is close to me. :thumbsup2

I think out of everyone I know I'm the only one who does not like Inn & Out. I think their fries are especially gross.

their fries are good if you eat them IMMEDIATELY. But give them five minutes to cool off and they're limp and gross. I agree.

I like dogs, but we decided that at this point in our lives, a dog would be a lot of responsibility when we were wanting to DO more things, not have to stay around the house to take care of a pet (I am an animal lover, but I'm also selfish right now and want a life!). My sister just got a little teacup chihuahua and while she is cute, she is a LOT of work and they can't really go anywhere (no vacations!!!! :scared:)

No Cheryl, no. Don't go buy one of the cutest puppies ever born. You are a fool, who needs a dog....eeeewwwwwwww, slobber!!

How'd it work? Are they Pembrokes or Cardigans? Male/Female? Reds, tris or what? Did you get the photos I sent of my beast???

I don't like In & Out at all. DH loves that place. Whenever we go to visit family in CA we have to have it at least once a day. I get a cheeseburger and strawberry shake. The shakes are pretty good. The fries taste like fries that were once good than they got cold and microwaved.:scared: Nasty stuff. My MIL gets the fries animal style. They are so nasty.:sad2:

When I worked at the YMCA we took the kids on a tour of Inn & Out. Their fried are made fresh from potatoes so you'd think they would be good. :confused3

:thumbsup2 I agree with that also. They also always need salt.
They probably don't taste as good because they are "healthier" fries.

I think In N Out's milkshakes rock! :yay: I'm not a fan of their fries. I order their burgers animal style w/out tomatoes. :)
