Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Yep, rednecks.

Callie~ have fun "watching TV", good luck with showing the house tomorrow.

Pirate Suite sounds so fun!!
Capri better get the bottom bunk, so she doesn fall off grabbing her Diet Pepsi.

LOL well I'd be sure to be nice and say "it's really a neat room, maybe you can stay in it next time"

Or if you are in the suite, just get an aero bed and put it right next to the fridge.

That's cold. But I like your thinking.

I am a newbie so please excuse the intrusion.... But is this trip open to all? I would TOTALLY be down for a girls only trip. My entire household (including pets) are male! :scared1:

HI Tina! Welcome. It is open to all. Just have to be a female and over 18 and love Disney!

It may be a bumpy ride, but you will enjoy it!

I have something wayyyy off topic I'd like to see if any of you have any experience with.

Have any of your kids ever had molluscum? I know a lot of you are going to have to google it and you won't like what you see. It's certainly not pretty.

It's a skin virus that causes bumps that almost look like blisters on your skin. Adults can get it, but it's a lot more common in kids.

Ayden had a few when he turned two. They were right on the inside of his thigh. Of course anytime he was in shorts he had a habit of rubbing them.
Last year they were worse but still somewhat managable and Dr just said wait it out they'll go away.

Well now they are horrible.......he still won't leave them alone. His hands are all over them and they look awful. He is scratching and has caused scabs on some of them. I can't send him to school in shorts, heck I don't even like having him in shorts at home because he just won't leave them alone. Anyway...before I go on any further, has anyone else had to experience this and if so...did you try any treatments? The treatments I have been told about don't sound appealing at all. Most seem very painful for a little tyke.

SWEET!!!!! Count me in. I will read the entire thread now.

Good luck with that :)

Also, you will find pics and stuff from last trip. And the link in my sig is my trip report. I am almost done with it. Working on the second to last evening. Almost there. Check it out, it can give you an idea of what the trip was like.

Already jumping ship? Is it the snoring?

No, I just didn't want you guys to feel you had to squeeze me in your room. But I didn't know about the snoring. So who is it .

I'll stay anywhere as long as I can share the cost. Like I said, I'm easy going (Yes I know, you already heard that ).

I am so miserable! I just want to be in bed. If I still feel this way Friday, I seriously doubt I'll be driving. Worst case scenario, I'll be coming down early on Saturday. Why, oh why, don't I live closer to Disneyland?

Get your rest so you'll be ready for MA this weekend. I hope you feel better real soon.

I'm sad. My roses are already dead. :(

Kids are off to AWANA tonight, and dh and I are having some quality alone time. ;)
That is, after I vacuum, fold laundry and get the house ready for 2 showings tomorrow! Eeek!

The flowers didn't last that long :confused3. I know you loved them, so you have my condolences .

I wish you luck on your showings. I hope you get people who are ready to make an offer :cheer2:.

Looks like it hurts. Poor thing. I did have to google it real quick. The treatments don't sound fun at all. I did quickly read that putting duct tape on them till they scab over has helped some. Might want to try to look into that.

I was afraid for a minute that it would look like what I have.

When I got back from the Diva trip I got a rash, doc says allergic reaction. Fine. I go to Vegas and stay at the roach motel, come home fine. I go back to Vegas last week, and I come home with a rash worst than the one I had when I stayed at the Hojo's. UGH!!! I promise I don't have cooties.

Let's just say it's more than 1. I am probably included. ;) I slept with my Ipod on after the first night :lmao: and slept great. :thumbsup2

I completely understand on the lowering the cost of the trip. :)

If I did duct tape I'd be wrapping his entire leg up. They are all up and down the backs of both legs. He has a few on his back by his armpit and on on his lower torso. We have an appointment tomorrow with his dr...I am sure she will refer us to a dermatologist. We've had some 90 degree days here and I just feel so bad for him :(

Oh and it sounds like the hotels are the ones with the cooties..not you. Have you ever watched those news broadcasts where they go undercover and check out the rooms. ewwwww

So what do you say Beth and January, are you up for it? Or am I being put up for adoption. :sad1: ;)
You'll have to leave us before we put you up for adoption.

Poor Ayden. I haven't heard of it but I hope you can find some answers.

So weird. Maybe some of the laundry soap the hotels use? :confused3

Im not talking. I'm a vault.

At first I thought it was bed bug bites, and contacted the Hojo immediately. They were great, they went back to the room and checked and everything. Called me back to let me know they didn't find anything and that they were glad I called anyways. I went to my doc, and it wasn't bed bugs. He said allergy. Most likely the detergent they use to wash the sheets. Found out from the Hojo (thanks Lorealle) that I can ask for sheets washed in the mild detergent. I didn't do that last week in Vegas, since I was there at a the ghetto motel and didn't have a problem a few weeks ago. I thought I would be fine at the nicer place. Nope, still allergic to their sheets as well. Live and learn. I just hope its actually from the sheets and not something else. Shortly after I started dating DBF, he had to change body wash because it was making my arms break out when I hugged him. Im just sensitive I guess.

I was going to ask what the dermatologist has to say. I hope they have some answers for you. It's never fun to watch your child suffer.

Those are so nasty!! I hate watching those things. It's enough to make you never want to book a hotel again, no matter how many stars it has.

Sooo, if ya'll are so positive that I will be coming next year (even though I swear I'm not), how come my roomies are giving away my sleepin spot? :confused3

j/k

Okay, I'm about 5 pages behind, and trying to catch up!!

We're not giving away your space, we're still saving it for you! And you ARE coming! Don't even think about not coming! Who will make our lanyards? And give us ciggies?? :smokin:

Yea but for Disneyland.....we'd do anything. But then again I wouldnt' mind sleeping on a boat on pirates for a few nights!

We'll get a Pirate Suite, you can have the couch! :thumbsup2

I'm back! I can not wait until my children are strong enough to get everywhere on there own power. They will walk a little, but tire easily, and I have to hold their hands the whole time.

I think my exchange person is going to love what I got her. She better!

Nathan loved the music therapy, he smiled the whole time. He still hates to be sung to, but he loved the big drum, piano, and guitar she had. She was great, she had so many activities, and really kept him busy. He was a little hyper though since there was so much new stuff to see and do. I think he's really going to enjoy it, and price wise, it's the most reasonable therapy I've found so far! ST is $85 an hour, but this is only $36 an hour. Nolan really enjoyed it also. We had a good day.

I need to go back and see what I missed while I was gone, but I'm hungry and I promised to kick Stacies boo-tay at Mario Cart in a little bit. Anyone want to join us?

Heather
I'm glad music therapy went well!

I'm sad. My roses are already dead. :(

I'm sorry about your roses. A 1-day life span is pretty bad!
Good luck with your showings tomorrow!

I just got this visual of a family with two small kids seeing all of us girls coming in and out of the Pirate Suites saying "so that's why we couldn't get a kid suite.........the DIS Adult women have taken over".

Oh shiver me timbers!!!!!!!! I don't know about you guys but I feel like a kid in Disneyland anyway! :dance3:
You're funny!

Welcome! I'm Tina, too!

That could be a full time job!

Poor guy!

Well, I had a big exhausting day on my feet today, and I'm ready for bed! But while I was working, Marty got a call from somebody who needs catering for an event this Saturday. That would be 3 days from now, and they are expecting 500-700 people! Oh, and their budget is $1000.
OK, why don't you have this nailed down yet, and how are you going to feed people for $1.50 to $2 each? Sorry, I try to keep my prices reasonable, but that just isn't doable!

Have a great night, girlies! I'm off to suck down a BLT and watch Idol.:thumbsup2
