This is with Holland America. We are thinking 2011 too. Aug 2 is our 10 year anniversary. We will bring the kids too!
Have you heard much about that cruise line? When I spoke with the AAA travel agent she said for kids they usually recommend either Royal Caribbean or Princess. Not that Holland isn't nice, she just said they tends to attract an older crowd. :confused3
I'll go with whatever is cheap!! :rotfl2: If I go at all. :guilty:

Beth you removed me from the Steakhouse 55 reservations. I can still make those just not Wine Country Trattoria.
Oops. I saw that and meant to correct it last night, but got distracted. Thanks for reminding me! :)

Good morning ladies!!!

happy-friday-the-13th.gif

One week from today Noelle and I will be going to see New Moon!! popcorn:: :yay:

I was hoping for a big group of ladies for the Segway tour... We did this in July and had lots of fun.. If it's just my sister Tammy and I we will most likely skip the tour this time.. :)
I think being this is the third trip, most who wanted to do it, have already done so. :confused3 I have not tried it, but it's safer that way. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

We can always wait and see what happens since we still have more time before we have to make reservations. Just let me know.

Hi ladies, hope you're all having a good morning.

This has not been a very good week for me, and then this Friday the 13th morning started out crummy too. I think I'm cursed.

Anyone else want to go for drinks Friday after dinner? I want one of those glowy blue drinks or something foofy. :cloud9:

Hi.. Count Tammy and I in for drinks Friday night...

I am soo looking forward to this trip.. The pajama party meet and greet sounds like lots of fun and I think I have found the perfect jammies to wear :)

Well if my sister can finish the tour safely, then I think you will be okay.. :rotfl: My sister is a super clutz and we were kinda nervous about how many things she would bump into ;) Thankfully DCA is still standing!

hi everyone.. i just got back from the doctor.. i have pnuemonia. i feel so sick.:guilty: i have to go back in in the morning.

take good care

Oh no, Dawn, that is awful! Just when we were hoping you were on the mend. I'm so sorry to hear this. Please rest up.

:rose::rose::daisy::flower:

Sarah - fingers crossed on the job front

steph

Yes, thinking good thoughts for you, Sarah! :wizard:

Thanks Beth for moving the Cove Bar to Friday night! I'm excited to watch everyone have their foofy drinks. :rotfl2:

Maybe they make a mean shirley temple....

It's DL! I'm sure they do!!! Honestly, with all the colors and lights and glowy stuff, you're getting 95% of the "real" drink anyway! :dance3:

Beth, don't get too upset over the news these days. November is sweeps month and they all, even the local news participates. That means they do whatever they can to up their ratings. So you'll see a lot of stories about weight loss, plastic surgery, more sex on the tv shows, anything to pull in viewers.

The board was down a bit this morning, huh?

Curious, is anyone planning on taking their kids to see Princess and the Frog?

We might not get to do a group ressie for HOB if we don't get more people. It requires at least 10 and last time I checked a few days ago we only had 9 sign up.

Sarah

I do!

I'm still trying to decide what kind of drinks are for me. I've only had a margarita at DCA and a supposed "pomegranate margarita" from BJ's. I want to get Bartending for Dummies so I can try some out. I'll probably do it over Thanksgiving break. Fun times!

Although I love me a margarita (on the rocks with salt) I have discovered that I really enjoy a dirty martini... I have attended quite a few functions with an open bar and asked the bartender to make me something good. Some are up for it and "invent" their own or give a suggestion based on the "non-foofoo" criteria. It's a fun way to discover new drinks..

Yes, it was quite frustrating!

My family is going to see it! I've already got the ticket from the promo at DL.
I'm going to DL tomorrow for my cousin's birthday! :dance3:Another opportunity to spend my fun card. But I'm definitely saving it for the big sale on the 5th!

We got the tickets to see Princess and the frog as well from when we went in Oct! So we will be going when it comes out. Can't wait it looks really cute. I took the girls to the Disney store on Wed and Katy got a cookbook of course Princess Tiana's Cookbook, and Shelby got a stuffed Tiana Frog! :)

LOTS of good movies coming out this month that I want to see. That one, New Moon of course and 2012! :)

I might take ds, it kind of depends on whether he is behaving or not! I might also wait and let my mom take him. She enjoys taking the grandkids to movies.

Sarah

Hey Cristabel...I like blended margaritas (flavored ones are ok but I like regular best) and I have enjoyed things with Kahlua in the past. Have fun and be responsible, k?

Well that's no fun ;)
My family isn't into foofy or really hard drinks. My parents drink wine and my uncle drinks beer. Personally I think beer is one of the nastiest drinks ever. Wine makes me warm and sleepy. The only thing about having alcoholic drinks when I'm out at a restaurant is that they are SO expensive. I'm all about the free booze :lmao:

Hi all,

It's a rough day here. The upstairs neighbors sat on their porch and screamed and yelled and giggled until 2am. DH was just about to go out and ask them to quiet own when another neighbor did it, and then they got into a huge scream, cussing fight. I can't wait to move out east and into a real home.

Then after that, Nathan woke up at 3am screaming. It took me an hour to get him settled down. Nolan woke up at 7, and I just put htem down for a nap. I'm hoping we'll get a few hours of sleep.

I'm so tired I'm dizzy and nauseous. I'm praying that's all it is-exhaustion. I can't afford to be sick right now.

To add to the fun, I found 3 false charges on our account from DH's debit card. When I look them up online, they are known scammers, but of course have to wait for the bank to investigate. I hope they refund my almost $300.

I love all the excitement and talk about the trip. It's fun to read what everyone is looking forward to.

Heather

Heather, I hope you can get some rest & start feeling "normal" soon!!! Take care of yourself & that precious package!!!

So Mike got a job today!!! Hooray.....frustrating year this has been.....I swear he's been unemployed more than he's worked & our finances show it!!! This is definately an answer to our prayers. He's working for Safeway....will start out as a meat wrapper until they can see he still knows how to cut meat.....lol He was a journeyman meatcutter for 10 years but it's been a dozen years since he did it as a job.

Hope everyone is having a fun Friday the 13th!!

So happy for you!!!! My dh has been working his new job for 2 weeks now...I hope your dh enjoys his new job as much as my dh enjoys the one he has. Of course, after 4 months home with the kiddos I think he would enjoy any job!

Heather, hope you feel better soon! I remember that exhaustion well, yuck, but combining it with 2 young ones would be so hard! Take care and remember to drink lots of water to help keep the bun happy!

I like wine but beer not so much....

Dawn: Oh dear, please take care of yourself. And make sure someone else is there to take care of you this weekend. I'm terribly concerned about you and am sending you tons of good wishes from Switzerland. Be overly cautious and get help from family or hospital if you think you may need it. Get better soon my friend. :wizard::wizard:

Sarah: Good luck on the job front. Good to hear that your DH likes his new job. :thumbsup2

Heather: Get some rest and feel better. Take care of yourself now as it's a very important time to be healthy.

OK, I'm afraid to write it but I think I may be going to DLP next week. Kids want to go too and my DH is folding under the pressure. We would drive, stay at Vienna Dreams Hotel near Disneyland and then take the train into Paris one day. Doesn't that sound just...well...dreamy. :cloud9: I'll keep you posted and will take lots of pictures. Consider it a planning trip for the 2011 International DL Diva Paris Adventure. I'm trying to get DLP annual passes rather than tickets. We'll see how that goes. Even let DH go to play poker last night to try to win some brownie points.

Take care everyone! Be healthy and happy! :wizard:
