Good evening!
Today was pretty great.
Took my history exam and I think I did very well. I went to econ and suffered the lecture which made no sense, even with the outline.

After school I went to the mall to shop for my stocking exchange buddy. I also bought myself, Diana and Anais matching Minnie Mouse t-shirts since we're having a sisters' trip in January when my parents are in Europe. I stopped at Wal-mart to pick up some Martinelli's for Girls' night.

I didn't have a dress so I wore my black slacks and yellow flower cardigan and strappy wedges. My roommate and I met the rest of the Crusade for Christ girls at one of the leader's, Merrilee, homes. We had such a good time. We had pasta, bread and salad for dinner (YUM) and then we took tons of cute and funny photos. We jumped on the trampoline for awhile and then had a our bible study. After that we broke off into pairs. I was paired with my roommate Lisa. After our pair time we broke out the nail polish and girls were doing each others nails. I rode back with my other roomie Beth because she and her friend Kelsey were staying later than Lisa.

They were getting ready to watch a movie when we left. I knew I had to get some sleep since my cousin is picking me up in the morning for Disneyland.

Good night!

Morning and Happy Saturday!

Before I forget Callie sounds good on sharing a ride. Just let me know. Mom and I shared a cab with capri and Deb last year and it worked out great so we would love to share with whomever!! :) Anything to save a buck and start seeing friends!

Glad to hear Dawn is feeling a little better. If anyone talks to her tell he I hope she is feeling better and she is in my prayers!!

I haven't cooked a turkey in years cuz we usually go to mom's or other relatives and I usually make a side dish but when I DID I always stuffed my turkeys with apples and onions to keep it moist and just made seperate stuffing (usually stove top ;) ). Good luck Beth with whatever you decide on. Several of those ideas sound yummy!

And as far as survivor I LOVED it!!!! It was ANOTHER classic blind side!! I admit I can't STAND Russell but it was GREAT! I was SO glad they got rid of one of the other team and I really like the other team except for Russell so I am so glad they are holding their own for now!! I LOVED seeing their faces because they were just SO cockey! And I really can't STAND that Laura either! It is going to get pretty interesting from here on out!

Last night was such a nice relaxing evening. I just made a carne asade in the oven and we watched Santa Clause 2 on video and then Ghost Whisperer and then played on the Wii till it was time to go to bed. Perfect relaxing evening! Now today our game isn't till almost 1 so the only thing we need to do is run our recycling up to the corner recyclers but other than that we just have the game and then tonight it is just more vegging. Shane is studying for his test so we have no plans to do anything. There was some talk of going to mom's tomorrow but I am not sure if that is going to happen because shane needs to study. But that is a possibility. We REALLY need to get back to church though. Between all our trips and me being sick this summer we have hardly been at all so we really want to go. So hopefully we will tomorrow. The girls still go every wed at least!

Anyway that's bout it for us. Hope everyone has a good day today and possibly does something fun!

Cristabel your night last night sounded fun and I KNOW you will have fun today! SOOOO jealous that you can go to DL anytime you want!

I keep seeing deals on my computer constantly and I just got one for some free dinning and it is SO tempting to want to go back esp since Christmas is my FAV time of year! But alas we won't be going any time soon. I won't be back till the girls trip and I hate to admit as much as I am looking forward to that I really hate the park when it is not holidays because it seems so BLAH compared to the holidays. But I am excited to see everyone and KNOW we will have fun so that will make up for it! :)

Anyway TTYL!

It is nice to be able to go anytime but I really practiced restraint these past few weeks. I haven't been since my birthday and I didn't even go the whole day. I have to make sure I'm not going to DL too much and neglecting my studies.

Oh the hard life I lead... :lmao:

It's the weekend!! :cool1:

I hope you all have a good day. Noelle and I have some errands to run. I need to start buying cooking and baking supplies for Thanksgiving. And of course do a bit of Christmas gift shopping.
It's fun, but I always come home stressed because of how much it all costs!! :scared1:
Oh well. It will be nice to spend the day out with my shopping buddy. :goodvibes

Talk to y'all later! :hippie:

Happy Saturday ladies!

Today, my parents and I are spending some time together and then tonight is DBF's little brother's last football game of the season. I hope to stay warm tonight!

I hope everyone has a beautiful day! :)

Hi Gals, Can't stay long, as I am away with the girls scrapping and working on my trip report. But wanted to stop in and show off my new signature picture. I am using my new CM program, but I have a long ways to go before I get to where Heather is. Sizing is not right. Not current pictures by the way, but 3 of my favorites. Take care! Tracey

Warning: just a little vent here.

There are times in life I really wish I had a washing machine. Like when my son gets sick in the middle of the night. Waiting until next Thursday when I have "laundry time" just isn't going to work for me. Somethings will go in the trash. I'm sorry.

And NO one can do wash on Sundays. Why??? :confused3:confused3 I don't even think I'm supposed to be using the water after 10pm here in Switzerland, so as not to disturb my neighbors. Since when is being quiet the highest virtue ever. :confused3:confused3

Anyone have any good ideas on how to keep things clean? I thought I was finished using the tub for washing.

Hopefully, this ends with my DS4. Otherwise, DLP may not be in our plans next week.

I'm grumpy.

 Hope your ds feels better soon. Hope no one else gets sick.

Strange rules about the water and laundry.

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry.:sad2: I can't even imagine only being able to do laundry once a week! Especially with sick kids - yuck! I'd be throwing things away too! Vent away!!
Do they not allow laundry on Sunday because most go to church and/or consider it a "day of rest"? :confused3 That is the only thing I can think of.
Hope everyone is feeling better for the DLP trip!
I loved the pics you posted on FB of the boys at Starbucks. :thumbsup2

BTW - it is a beautiful fall day here in the Bay Area. :) Hope you are having beautiful weather there also. :)

That sucks Jen. Why can you only do wash on Thursday? Why can't anyone do wash on Sunday? Is there no way for you to get your own stacked washer/dryer, or at least a portable washer for you own place? (With a portable washer, you could at least get things washed when in a pinch and then hang to dry on a drying rack.)

Jen--this isn't a great solution but do they have coin-op laundromats there? So in-between you can do "emergency" loads? Would it be possible to talk to some of your neighbors and figure out what they do in a pinch?

Grump away--we're here for ya!

Oh my gosh Jen, you totally brought back a memory of the load of wash I did in Switzerland like 20 years ago. It cost $10. I was shocked beyond belief. I don't know what the issue is, but geesh, ridiculous. Hope something makes it worthwhile. I mean, I understand we are a little excessive here in America with our entire aisle of cereal choices, but laundry is a bare bones necessity by garsh! Hang in there. The puking has to stop eventually.:grouphug:

Wow! Slow night on the thread!! I hope everyone is out enjoying there Saturday evening!

We had a babysitter come over. DH and I went to Tahoe Joe's for dinner (yummy!!:thumbsup2 ) and then went to Target for some shopping. Exciting! Exciting!

BTW - did you all know that Christmas is less than 6 weeks away!! Got to get shopping!:santa:

Hi everyone! I'm back from a full day at Disneyland.

My cousin was supposed to be here around 9am to pick me up but they left late and got lost so they didn't pick me up until like...11am. It was all cool because I was reigning in my commando style since we were going for my cousin's birthday and he's very laid back and doesn't like when I'm anal about scheduling.

So my aunt picked me up with Sergio (the birthday boy), Daniela (his fiance) and the girls, Cyndi and Kristi. We were meeting their sister, Alicia at the park. So we arrived and were the first to park on the fourth floor so we got parking very close to the escalators :thumbsup2. We were on the second tram which was really surprising because it was P A C K E D today! I'm pretty sure DL was close to capacity. I didn't know that the whole family was coming and then I found out they had reservations at the Blue Bayou. My aunt was so sweet and covered my meals today. :lovestruc

We didn't get on our first ride, POTC until 1:30p or so. We were okay because we just wanted to have fun. We ended up riding: POTC, Indy, Jungle Cruise, HMH, BTMRR, Matterhorn, Pinocchio, Snow White, BLAB and the train. Very productive for being at DL on the first Saturday of Christmastime. We even saw Tiana's Showboat Jubilee which was TOTALLY awesome! It was 815435671365 times better than the celebrate parade for me. I can't wait to see this movie, it makes me feel like a kid because there hasn't been a hand drawn movie since then!

We lucked out and got some seats in front of the Golden Horseshoe on a bench and watched Fantasmic! which was really great. We also saw the fireworks as we headed out.

The park is gorgeous and I got all misty eyed with the Christmas music. I'm such a nostalgic sap.

Hi ladies-

Thanks for the support. Ended up using bathtub for cleaning and then just broke rules and used washing machine and dryer in apartment building. Sheets are now clean and dried so we are set...for now

Still sending good wishes to Dawn for good health and speedy recovery!

Take care
Jen

Morning and Happy Sunday all!

Jen that is awful! Luckily my kids don't get sick and esp pukey sick very often (hardly ever knocking majorly on wood) but the few times it has happened I have been SO thankful to have my machine to just throw everything into. I could NOT imagine not having one. What a major pain in the patooty. I am glad you just said to heck with it. I can't even IMAGINE trying to wash sheets by hand in your tub! No offense but those NEED to be washed in HOT water and I wash mine with bleach after a vomitt incident but then I am ocd LOL. It's bad enough having to deal with residue on the carpet with the old bucket and scrub brush (which I've unfortunately had to do!) but NOT the bedding and/or clothes! I would see if you could ask your landlord if there is an "emergency" situation clause or something ;)

I am SO jealous by the way that you guys are going to DLP! ENJOY!!! We are REALLY hoping to somehow go to Europe in 11 and I told my mom if we manage to go we HAVE to go to DLP at least one day. If I make it all the way over there I HAVE to see it! So how knows if you guys are there maybe we can have a mini meet! :)

Anyway Cristabel sounds like you had a nice visit with your family! Glad you enjoyed the christmas festivities and Tiana's jubilee. I only wish it had been there when we were there in Oct as I KNOW the girls would have loved to have seen it! They are VERY excited about seeing the movie though!

I think I may have already posted this but anyway we won our soccer game yesterday which was good and then we just came home and relaxed the rest of the day. It was nice because it is pretty chilly here. The sun was out but there was a chilly breeze. Sitting at the game it actually gave me an earache. Now I have that AND a bit of a sore throat. We only have one game left next Saturday and then our party the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Of course then we start indoor which I am not looking forward to but oh well. Hopefully it will go by quick. I need to seriously start thinking about plans for Katy's birthday because I have to get invites out to any of her classmates BEFORE the break since her party will be the weekend before school gets back in. I am actually going to do a "girls day out" and just have a few girls this time and their mom's and we are going to go see a movie and then go to lunch and have cake. I figured since she is turning 10 and getting a little older it might be fun to do something a little different than the regular kids party and I thought I would get some really fun gift bags with nail polish and little notebooks and fun pens and some other fun stuff kids would like.

Anyway we are off to church here soon and that's pretty much it. I sitll haven't heard if we are going to mom's tonight although honestly I would rather just stay home and enjoy my shows.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day and ttyl!

Jen~ that is awful, I hope he is feeling better. I would really ask someone in the building about the rules in case of an emergency like that.
I wonder why you can't do laundry on Sunday's?

It has been a nice and lazy weekend. Kaeleb and I went to Tricities yesterday. Did a little shopping at Target, the mall & Coscto.

Costco :scared1: was soooo crazy, I am not sure I have ever been there when it was so packed or had so many samples...Kaeleb was in heaven!!
He loves Coscto, for there samples!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Today is catching up on everyones homework after church.

Hi ladies. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Ive been busy, and my life is not without drama. I am so looking forward to planning and then going on this trip. You have no idea.

Re. Sunday and wash. Vicky got it right. It's a day of rest and practically everything is closed. I guess everyone is at church and at home with their families. I'm so used to getting things done around the house on Sundays or going out with the family somewhere fun. Have to get used to this day of silence.

We did call the landlord to find out about using the washroom and he of course didn't answer. It is a day of rest and all.

Well things are cleaned and DS seems to be feeling a bit better for now. Hopefully this fiasco will not have a sequel tonight.

Take care Divas,
Jen

Hi ladies!!! :goodvibes

Tracey - Love the new sig!! Very nice.

Jen - Hugs to you. I'm glad you got things cleaned up, and I hope there are no repeats.

Becci - Glad to hear you got a night out!!

Cristabel - The parks at Christmas always make me misty eyed too.

Kelly - The plans for Katy's b-day sound fun! I'd like that.

Stacie - Sorry for all the drama you've got going on. Hang in there.

Deb - I love Costco and Sam's around the holidays. Too much good stuff and tons of samples. Unfortunately it gets super crowded. All the stores do. I hope to finish shopping early to avoid all the usual madness this year.

HAPPY SUNDAY!!! Hope you are all having a good one. :grouphug:
