Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

wow...I'm finally caught up in my reading! You girls had me laughing so hard.......all this talk of drinking, stripping, eating, Aunt Flo and Uncle Flash (sooo funny!)

I can't believe January is almost over...holy cow!! You know Feb is going to fly by when we flip that calender! Woohoo, Can't wait :)

Long week...glad its over. My mom's dear friend died Sunday, Parker's had a bunch of seizures this week, and the school schedule was off due to finals, so its all been a bit wonky! I have a bazillion things running thru my mind and I can't seem to get focused. Our Disney cruise planned for this summer looks like its going to get cancelled, which is a bummer, but we are hoping to get some home improvement stuff done instead (kitchen & bath) and we desperately need to tent the house, as the termites are really doing some damage in our garage :( I think we may go to WDW and just not do the cruise, but we'll see. I just need to sort thru everything and get it organized on paper to declutter my mind.

Happy Friday to you all! Enjoy this last weekend in January :)

You're right. The trip wil be here before you know it!

Yup, I'm now tormenting myself by checking out the menus at all the restaurants...did you know that Harbor Gallery is now serving cheese and brocoli soup in a bread bowl! It's one of my fave soups and I never have it cause dh hates brocoli! I might have to give it a try one night!

:sad2:

OMG! That looks too real! :rotfl: I don't know if I could eat it but I so want to make one! :rotfl2:
You should make it. Do it when no one is around, and then invite some family and friends over to see their reactions. :rotfl: And you actually have kitties so it will seem even more believable. ;)

Ruben took one I made into work and everyone got a kick out of it. They said it tasted really good and word soon got around his department about the kitty litter cake. Even now sometimes someone he doesn't really know will ask him, "Are you the one who's wife made that kitty litter cake?" :rotfl2:

I got the litter pan, and scooper really cheap from Walmart.

Just wanted to let those of you who are signed up know that the HOB brunch tickets finally went on sale so I will be ordering those tonight! Woo Hoo...
YAY! Good news!
And way to go Sarah's DH!!

So I have been salavating over the HOB menu for the brunch:
Cheddar Cheese Grits
Those are so good!!!! Marcie, Theresa, Noelle and I went to the HOB gospel brunch here back in September and those were my favorite!

Wow, you have had a rough week.
Sounds like you could really use some fun girl time. :grouphug:

Theresa--I will probably order with you. When will you need my order. And thanks for doing this again!

Hi Tina - no problems. The week before should be fine and I'll just get the stuff to you at/after the Meet & Greet :thumbsup2

Yep - the cheese grits and the white chocolate and banana bread pudding - yummy :cloud9:

Does anyone know if & where Disney's nutritional information might be? Can you request it at restaurants? I'm not trying to bring people down off the food high, but I also want to have some idea going into the trip of comparisons. That way I'll know if I will still fit in my tye-dye shirt by the time that day rolls around. :rotfl: (Think of it this way, I'm trying to figure out how many churros I can eat and whether I have to pack my "big" tshirts :). )

Am I the only one that sees a page 32, but can't go there? Hmmmm....

I love soup in a bread bowl. I might have to check out the broccoli and cheese at Harbor!

Ack! Did I break the thread? Right after I posted about nutritional information, I could no longer get past page 31!

OK!! OK!!! I promise, I won't pay attention to the nutritional info at DL. I will eat whatever I want and just hope that I walk around enough to burn it off.

Afternoon all!

Looks like you guys have been having some fun chatting!!

((hugs)) to those who need them! There was just way too much to keep up with but I just want to let everyone know that I am thinking of you all and hope you are well and feel better soon!!

I did want to say Sara that HOB sounds YUM! And Beth I remember your cake. Katy LOVED it. I teased her and told her that was what I was making her for her next birthday and she said, But MOM that has poo on it! :rotfl::lmao:

When I told them what it REALLY was they loved it and Katy made me print out the recipe and now wants to make it. :)

Anyway today I went in and worked on Quickbooks all day again but we are almost all caught up and the good news is I am learning more and more about payroll so I SHOULD be able to do it all by myself next time. Mom and I went to this deli that has been there for YEARS and had these HUGE sandwhiches for lunch which were yummy and she is still trying to figure out her phone. I put margaritaville as her ringtone for her :)

Anyway then on the way home I rented a few movies. Paranormal activity, Whiteout and Surrogates. There were a bunch more good ones so I may get a few more when I take these back. That is usually how we do it. We don't rent for a few months and then catch up all at once. There are still a bunch I want to see in the theaters but chances are I will end up waiting to see them on video. Although we ARE going to see Valentine's day for our anniversary in 2 weeks so I am excited about that! :)

So I am off to go start my movie marathon. Take care everyone and have a GREAT evening and an even better weekend!! :)

Just pack the big shirts and the elastic waist pants and don't worry about it until you are back home. ;)

In all seriousness, I have never seen nutritional info on Disney restaurants. I'm sure you can get it from somewhere though. Maybe City Hall? :confused3

That looks SOOOOOOOOOOOO sinfully good! Unfortunately it's just not in the budget. My big splurge for this trip is Ariels. I may have to work a day at Beth's Brothel Ranch to afford it. ;)

Marty and I are there in October. It was good! They also had yummy salads with steak and I think turkey or salmon on them.

Hi Tina - no problems. The week before should be fine and I'll just get the stuff to you at/after the Meet & Greet :thumbsup2

Thanks Theresa!

That's probably what did it! And sorry, I've never seen the info, but I'd guess either City Hall or at each restaurant.

Hi Kelly! Enjoy your movies!

I would say to look on the DISabilities boards.

I know City Hall contains a book of every food item in the park, that lists indredients. Not quite sure if it lists the nutritionals too. Worth a call to them.
