Thanks so much everyone and you are right. She came home and I did remain calm and I stated VERY calmly my thoughts on what she said last night and then let her say her peace. And now I have spoken with our pastor and we have an apt tomorrow at 4 for her and one at 5 for us. So hopefully he can get through to her a bit.

Thanks SO much everyone for the prayers and for caring. You guys are awesome. I love you all so much. I just feel so overwhelmed right now.

Thank Goodness Kelly.
I know it is difficult. When I married DH he had sole custody of his two children. They were 12 & 16. I was 28.

His DD was the 16 year old and to this day (20 years later), she and I don't speak. I won't go into details here, but just wanted to offer support and hugs cause I know how hard it is (for everyone, not just the parents). All you can do is the best you can, which you obviously are. I wish you luck and so glad she is ok.

Kelly, I am so glad to hear she is home and safe! It's a scary world out there, so having her back is the best news ever!!! I know that it's going to be a long, hard road for all of you but you are on the way to recovery. Kiss and hug Katy and Shelby extra tight today, as I am sure that this was pretty traumatic for the two of them as well.

Kelly, I'm glad you were able to sit down and talk calmly with her. I haven't said much regarding this because it's kind of bringing up bad memories for me. I ran away from home when I was 15, and I was raised in a "good Christian home" even though there was divorce, step-family and drugs involved in the whole scenario. I can probably understand Lynn's perspective a tiny bit.

I just want you to know that I'm thinking and praying for your family.

Maybe its because I post on quite a few different boards. The budget board, family board, community board and such. So someone on one of those boards must have gotten bothered by it. Oh well. Its life.

I agree!! I mean why complain about something like that? Is it really that offensive? Some people have zero sense of humor. I can't imagine going through life so uptight and conservative.

Oh and Dawn, before I forget, I just wanted to say I read your post and I'm sorry you are feeling so helpless right now. I probably would too. It's so hard to watch your kids suffer and not be able to make it better. I hope your DD is able to work through this ok.
