Dawn - your food sounds delish (you're making me hungry and I don't have anyone around me who will cook like that for me :sad2:)

Have fun with your parents. If you wear a tiara playing Canasta, I believe that counts as glamorous princess:

BETH!! If you are around.. how big were your girls when they were born?? Thanks!

I have to tell you guys this funny story.

This weekend I was with the twins in a public restroom and while I was washing my hands, Hannah had already finished and wandered over to the machine they have on the wall that sells the feminine products.

Anyway, she was reading it and then turned to me and said, "That's silly mom. Why would anyone buy a napkin when they have paper towels here for free?"

I just looked at her, totally not ready for that conversation, and said, "Ummm yeah, good point. Let's go."

:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I'm here!! But it's cute how you think I can remember that info...... :rotfl:

Ummmm, gosh, let's see. Lindsey was 5 lbs even and Hannah was 4 lbs. 12 oz.

Lindsey was in the NICU for 2 weeks and Hannah for 3. The only problems they had were their sucking reflex wasn't quite developed yet so they had a feeding tube. Other then that, they were breathing fine and everything.

And within weeks you'd never know they'd been born 5 weeks early. They did need preemie clothes when they were born. They newborn stuff would SWIM on them. Actually, newborn stuff was even too big for Noelle and she was normal weight.......7 pounds and some ounces.

Why? Everything ok?

Tina - I will bring some sparkle paint and a brush for you!!!

Thanks!

Morning ladies!! I'm getting the kids ready for school but just wanted to pop in to say hi. Talk to you later.
Oh, and anyone else need the Shutterfly account info?? It's a great place to see other people's pics after the trip and keep them all private and in one place so they don't get lost in a thread. PM me if you need the password.
Later!

I'll PM you.

So, I'm sick AGAIN! I'm getting really tired of this! I have a nasty cold. If it's not one thing it's another. But, that's why I haven't posted about my bday at DLR. I've been primarily in lurker mode.

Anyway, dropped of Riley and friend at school on Tuesday at 7:30 and then Ethan and I headed up to DL. It was icky. When we drove around the curve on I-5 right before the car pool lane exit to DL, I was dismayed, there was a dark dark line of clouds above DL. AND, it was pouring. We got parked and onto the trams, where we had to move in towards the middle because (a) the rain was blowing in on the sides and (b) there was standing water on the seats of the tram! Then, the heavens opened up while I was standing in line to get my free pass. Then, I tried to upgrade my pass and finance the rest, and I wasn't able to do that because I didn't have anything that proved I was a SoCal resident (I thought my AP that I already had would be enough. It would have been enough to get a SoCal pass, but DL contracts with another company about the financing, and they require it.) But, magically, as I walked through the gates (Ethan went ahead of me to get Space fast passes), the rain magically stopped! While we were waiting for the tram, I had called Tracey to see if they would mind two more on their Minnie breakfast. They (claimed....you never know!) that it would be great to have two more, and a perfect way to celebrate bday. So, we met up with the whole family at Minnies. We had a great time. Her youngest was totally into the characters, she even got a couple of pics of Ethan and I. The food was great, and the company was even better! And, we got (I'm assuming left over) Valentine pins (the kind for trading) at Minnies.
We then went with Tracey and her older son to go on a few rides (while her DH took the younger one on a couple of rides). We tried Peter Pan but the line was ridiculous. Then we went to Snow White, Small World (I love the new one! I think the characters give you a new experience, wondering if "such and such" character will be in such and such country!), and Space. Tracey and I then went to meet up with the extended family at Pixies, while the boys went on Buzz. The family was way far back in the Pixie line, so we said our good byes.
Ethan and I then wandered over, got hot chocolate and went on Pirates. Then we decided we were going to go on the monorail and head out (I had to be back in SD by 3:30, so we had to leave early). We got to the monorail right as it was leaving and got to sit in the pilot's car! Whoo hoo! And, Ethan had never been on the DL monorail.
I had a great time. Though, I must say, since the bday buttons are so prevalent this year, I didn't get nearly as many bday wishes from cast members. Almost none that were on the rides, only a few that were anywhere else. Oddly enough, it was CM's just walking from one place to another, like down main street, that I got the most comments from.
Oh, and yes, I did wear my tiarra!

It's a bummer that you're sick again, but it sounds like you had a fun birthday!

Yep.. I was just wondering! We had another ultrasound, and the babies are measuring a little big.. for a singleton. :scared: A little over 5 and a half pounds each. I have been to the hospital twice this week to stop my contractions.. They arent DOING anything.. they just hurt.

That is great about their breathing!! Its my biggest worry if I deliver soon.. Along with everything else there is to worry about. Like.. you know.. The fact that they will make us take them home. :scared1: :lmao:

Sounds like a lovely weekend to me!

Ok ladies, here's the deal: I want the Mickey headband so am planning to order it anyway--just wouldn't pay the expedited shipping and such just for me (because I received my color-coordinated tiara yesterday--of course now I need something else because we're wearing them every day).

If you all want to order a minimum of 9 additional items I would be willing to order with the expedited shipping and take a chance it would get here on time. That means the headbands would be approx. $5 each (and don't remember what the tiaras are, but it would be approx. $4 shipping plus the cost of the item.

If you want me to still order for you--with the risk that it won't get here in time--let me know by SATURDAY AT 5 P.M. The seller is out until Monday China time so that would give me Sunday to order.

Otherwise, I will NOT be ordering the Mickey headbands and tiaras--so in that case you are all on your own finding your bling to wear!

PM me if you have any questions. There were approximately 30 pieces we originally wanted so it won't take many to put in the order. If we do decide to order and they come late I will take care of getting them sent to you.

Oh and p.s.: I am leaving in approx. 40 minutes for a meeting up in L.A. so will be off the boards until this evening (whenever I am able to maneuver home).

Staley7580 ... my daughters twins were big too.. both just a little above 6 pounds each.

That is big! Sorry about the contractions and the pain. Is there such a thing as an epidural to go? You know, like take out? ;)

Did they say how much longer they'll let you go?

This is a pic of the twins with my mom when they were about a month old. It's a crappy pic I know, but it gives you some idea of their size. I used to love walking the mall holding them both like that. You will get tons of attention and people stopping you. It's fun except when you are in the grocery store pulling one cart with food and another full of babies, and you are trying to finish before they wake up, and everyone keeps stopping you to talk!!! :rotfl:

These are preemie outfits and hats, btw. It was all that would fit them.

And this is when they were about oh....I'd say 2 months. After awhile those infant carriers were really heavy to lug around!! You'll be getting some muscles! LOL

Epidural to go!! I WISH! :lmao: My Dr. said that if I got into labor NOW.. she wont stop me. But she would prefer I wait until 36 weeks. Then hopefully we will talk about an induction, or SOMETHING. I dnt care anymore. I want them OUT!:lmao:

Geez! They look so tiny!! Wow. I am really nervous to have small babies. Mine were both over 8 pounds, so I have no idea what the heck we are going to to with itty bitty little babies!

Well maybe that's what is happening, since you say they seem big already! Though I don't actually consider anything under 10 lbs to be big, personally.

:rotfl: I don't blame you! You reach a point where you are just so over it. Are your feet swollen? I remember mine were huge. I hated it.

You will do fine. Even if they are smaller then you are used to, you still do everything the same. I don't recall being nervous to handle them or anything. And they grow so fast.

I will say that having twins definitely ummmm, completed my family for me. Meaning that after I had my first one, within 3 months I was ready for another. Then I had a DD so I had a girl and a boy, but I wasn't sure I was done. kwim? So we went for a third and got twins. :goodvibes

But after the twins, there was no doubt about it. I was done, done, done. :rotfl2:

In fact, my aunt and I were out the other day and saw the cutest little baby. She was fussing over it and saying how she wanted another one. I was like, not me! No way, no how. I love my kids, but I've been there, done that, not interested in doing it again. :rotfl2:

My EVERYTHING is swollen. :lmao: My hands, my feet, my legs... I was getting in the tub this morning, because apparently I am now to fat for the shower.. Everytime I turn around, the curtain mysteriously opens. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Anyhow.. I saw my reflection in the mirror, and almost keeled over. Who knew someones body could actually stretch SO FAR! I was getting off the couch the other day, and made a wierd grunting sound.. My som looked at his dad.. I havent heard her make THAT sound before. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Smarty pants. :lmao:

We have been talking about where we are going to go from here... baby having wise. I feel like I am to young to make a permanent decision right now. But at the same time.. 4 kids!! I dont know. We will give it a year before really talking about it I think. Im sure by then we will be sure..:lmao:

Isnt it always when you say you just want ONE more.. thats when the multiple thing rears its ugly head!:lmao: My husband works with a guy who just wanted ONE more.. Ended up with triplets!:scared1: Multiples run rampant at his work.. I think it is in the coolant.
