You leave next week, right? I am getting so excited. I need to out all the stuff in the box to ship down to the Poly.
Yes - on Aug. 30.
You saod you'd be using Priority Mail to ship yours? Is that through the Post Office or UPS? Just curious, I hope DH will take care of the mailing, as our box will be totally full and probably very heavy.
It's through the Post Office. I ship from home and the mail carrier picks it up from my front door. Very convenient! Now I just have to determine whether everything will fit in a flat rate box or a larger one that will cost more $.
Does your DD eat all table food now? Our DS had that choking problem and didn't go over to table food very well, so we still supplement with a few jars of baby food every now and then, when he doesn't eat well, so I have to pack some of those, wrap them in bubble wrap I guess. From your experience, do you think I should put them in the shipping box, or pack them in the suitcase? I have a feeling in the suitcase they won't survive. At least on the box, I can put fragile stickers.
Yeah, she eats table food, but also some of the toddler dried snacks. She's a little picky girl sometimes, especially about textures. She prefers most dried fruit - raisins, bananas, strawberries, apples. She'll eat diced peaches and mandarin oranges but spits out watermelon, apples, tomatoes, and most veggies. She USED to eat frozen corn and carrots from mixed veggies, but now won't. I think it's an independence thing! I did get her to finally try strawberries in a pie, and she loved it. Thankfully she does eat cheese, yogurt, milk, most meat, pasta, potatoes and bread. I have been using my food processor to puree vegetables to hide them in food. We also use the Juicy Juice Harvest Surprise that has the servings of veggies & fruit in it. Plus I give her vitamins. Her pediatrician says she's doing fine, so I'm just trying to add some variety as I can!
I would probably bubble wrap the baby food and ship most of it. It would probably be ok in your checked bag with plenty of padding, but I'd put the wrapped jars in ziplocks too. It would probably be good to take a couple jars in your carry-on and just declare it to the TSA agent. You're allowed to do that.
I also have to send or pack some Silk Soymilk... I'm beginning to think that we should just go rent a car for the day and do our shopping when we arrive, but I've already bought so much stuff.
I think I read that someone bought Silk Soymilk in their resort food court or gift shop. If that helps!
This week I have purchased:
Disposable Sippy cups - all Disney characters so I don't have to wash dishes every night.
Cars BackPack to use for Diaper bag
Cars Lunchbox for snacks for the park
Trial Size Tolietries
Disposable Diaper changing pads
Disposable spoons and forks
Disposable Bottles (not really, but cheap enough that I can throw away)
Ecco Sandals for myself
Sounds great!
