Gifts from Travel Agent

I have gotten bags with beach toys, picture/memory boxes, photo credits, wine, and all sorts of stuff. I love my TA! :)

We have always gotten the standard AAA gift. (this year it is the photo package-it''s changed a bit over the years)

In the past our Travel Agent thru AAA also gave us a $50 obc that was specifically from her with a message saying to have fun :)

Western NY, Premier AAA members get additional NON ON BOARD related rebates which is wonderful. Money is money, weather its an OBC or a rebate check, I'll take it!

Forgot about the $50. This is promised to a repeat customer provided they spend $1K per person. But not combinable with other offers like gift cards given during Disney Week.

In the past (mostly with WDW ressies) I would transfer them during these specials in order to get the additional benefit.

This is different than the $50 I spoke of :)
Ours was directly from our agent....not attached to any kind of deal.

We get $100 rebate for our cruises(for being a premier member), and then the $50 per person for booking during disney MONTH. So for our current cruise we got $300 back in the form of checks from AAA, not our agent. PLUS, the typical AAA gift. All that stuff (minus the actual AAA gift package) varies by area and what kind of AAA membership you carry.

We received an OBC and an awesome gift bag from DU in our staterooms (one per stateroom) with some VERY useful and thoughtful gifts. This was on a 3 night cruise on the Dream out of PC in Jan 2013. Thank you Webmasterjohn. We LOVED our gifts. :thumbsup2 We have 2 more cruises booked with DU and will continue with DU everytime we book another cruise.

Wow. Granted you are paying for premier membership (even regular I believe is already a bit high - plus was too much - can't think why I would get premier to be honest...) All I got from AAA for my last two cruises besides the $100 gift card were one wrong reservation date, and then a two hour ordeal to pay off my balance as the local office could not take over the ressie from the central office rep - last minute deal, had to be paid in full on a Saturday...

I had GREAT AAA agents before - but they moved up the line... Oh well.

On our last cruise out of PC we had in our staterooms our regular CC backpack plus our Small World Vacations TA sent us a backpack that was halfway between a gym bag and a backpack (one large, zipped pocket) that I used a lot at the parks, it was the perfect size to be super light but still carry stuff (the CC backpack is on the largish side for me) in very sturdy material. In it were some snacks an a speaker set that could be plugged into an mp3 player, or in our case, our smart phones. Highly useful gifts, a nice touch for us. (This was in addition to our regular OBCs and her outstanding service.)

Ours made a gorgeous handdone scrapbook autograph book. One for each of my girls, that was tailored to their likes with their names on it. They were adorable!

www.costco.com didn't give us any gifts for our room but did give us a $595 cash card when we got home. Much better than any rinky dink gift IMHO.

I'm sure if you have a Costco nearby then the cash card is a great choice. Since there are none in my area, I will continue to enjoy OBC (less cash out of my pocket for things I'm going to buy anyways) and gift baskets. :)
