What do you usually get for your stateroom host? Do you leave something daily, or just at the end of the cruise?

We give an extra $$ tip if it has been earned, but also give a bag of Hershey chocolates with our tip. We do the same with our servers and a bag of candy when we drop off our items to be autographed at Guest Services.
Can someone clarify what services the Stateroom hosts are providing that warrant additional consideration? I'm not trying to be a curmudgeon, just feeling like we missed something. There was a female maid who did a great job of cleaning our room, so the extent of our male stateroom host's duties seemed to consist of dropping off the Navigators and making towel animals. We tipped the room service staff dropping off Mickey bars, and gave a few dollars to the woman who was cleaning when we stopped by our room during the day, but didn't leave anything other than the recommended amount for the host. Does the room host pass on a portion of their tip to the cleaning staff?
no gifts unless they are edible treats
Anyone want to take a guess on the cheapest room cost for 2 ppl excluding trip insurance on the the Fantasy at the cheapest time of year to cruise? Hope my ? Is clear
Clear, but in the wrong place. You may want to start your own thread with this question, as the topic on this one relates to gifts for stateroom hosts. A thread with your topic listed will attract the people who will have answers for you.![]()
When I'm doing a DIS fish-extender gift exchange, I always bring a gift bag and all the candy I receive during the week goes into that, along with whatever paperback book I read and is given to the stateroom host to keep or trade as they see fit!
I'm a boost-the-tip person, but I think I'll also bring some candy bars this next trip to wrap a buck or two around for the room service tip.
.
We'll be on the Dream for Christmas - would it be ok to give our servers & stateroom host a Christmas card with some additional cash on Christmas day or do I have to wait until the last day of the cruise and add it to their tip? I just want to give them something on Christmas day.![]()

The official rule is that CMs are not allowed to accept 'individual' gifts.
Cash is probably your best bet.
