Does anyone have any ideas what to get a 4yo boy in the $10 - $20 range? I'm clueless :o

Monster trucks
Tonka trucks
superhero figure sets
Hot Wheels & a carrying case
Anything "Cars" related

Hope that helps! My nephew is four and he is totally infactuated with Monster trucks.

I know each child is different, but my 4 yr old likes:
Most any toys with Cars movie theme
Hot Wheels cars & ramps, things you can race a car on
Remote control vehicles
Trucks, tractors, things that "dig"
Transformers (he saw someone at daycare with a Transformers toy, and wants one. He's too young to see the movie)

Does the 4 yr old you are shopping for like specific outside activities/sports? Mine likes soccer balls and sledding.

I have a 3 and 5 year old.

I agree, any kind of truck is a hit.

Don't forget firetruck.

I agree with the truck or hot wheels stuff or anything Playdoh works as well. DS4 also like those Color Wonder kits made by Crayola where the markers only color on the special Crayola paper. He likes the ones you color but he also likes the blank paper too. They have Cars, educational ones etc.

DS4 loves power rangers, ninja turtles...any kind of action hero really.
Hotwheels are a big hit, too.

My dd was one of only two girls in her class going through daycare so we've been to LOTS of boy's birthday parties!

My standard gifts for all boys at 4 and 5yo were Cranium games. Hullaballo and Balloon Lagoon. Both are excellent choices and you should be able to find them on sale this week.

I would lean more towards Hullaballo... it is sort of a cross between twister and simon says... VERY interactive and gets kids moving around, which is especially good for the upcoming winter months!

My DS4 loves power rangers too. OT, I've seen your signature before with the picture of your DS on Goofy's Barnstormer and can't get over how much he looks like mine! That picture of the red ranger makes it even more of a coincidence. Mine was the red ranger for Halloween this year.

OP, any action figures are a good idea, too. Spiderman is a big hit with my DS as well. Walmart has sets with mini figures for around $5, I think.

Legos or blocks are a huge hit as well as any arts and crafts type stuff...paint and glue in particular.
