HI there's chain jewellery store gift certificate available for sale online

I just want to ask you in general. Say this gift certificate is valued at $1000

Let say The product that i want to buy is $700 plus 10% tax = $770. In this case
say i bought this gift certicate and use it towards this purchase?

What will i get in return ? $230 cash in change or another gift cert worth about $230 ?

note this is gift certificate , not gift card
Thanks
TC

where I work we would issue you another gift certificate in the leftover amount- never a cash refund.

or you would have to purchase something else over the 230 remaining value to use it up in 1 use... Least thats been my experience for gift certs

I have worked at many different retail locations and have never given cash back for anything left on a gift certificate (unless it was under like $2 left heh). We always either gave you a new certificate or simply wrote the new amount on your current one.

I'd be willing to wager that you will get another gift cert for the remaining amount.
