Gift cards you can use at WDW -- MyPoints etc

I'm a member of MyPoints (.com) and have points that I can redeem. I also have points to redeem on my debit cards. I was looking at the online rewards catalogs to see if there was a gift card I could use at WDW. There isn't anything specifically Disney that I can see, nor is there a prepaid Visa or similar that you can spend anywhere on either MyPoints or my debit card website.

However, they do offer gift cards for Walgreens, Target, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and other places that sell a variety of gift cards for other stores/restaurants. Can you use a Walgreens gift card to purchase another gift card (Disney if they sell them) or a prepaid Visa/MasterCard? Or is there some way I can turn these points into dollars I can spend at Disney?

Landrys giftcards to use at Rainforest Cafe and TRex.

You could also get giftcards that will help you prepare for the trip...getting toiletries or clothes, etc...

What I do is if I plan on driving, I get gas cards. Or sometimes I will buy like a Walmart card and use that to buy groceries, gas, whatever, and then take the cash from my household budget that I would have spent on that stuff and put that in my Disney fund. Way easier than trying to find a card that I could use at WDW.

Probably the best thing to do is to go to your local store(s) and see what their policy is. I know our local Walgreens only allows you to use cash to purchase gift cards, but it seems that these policies vary by store.

The Landry's gift cards can also be used at Yak and Yeti.

I cashed out for $150 in Landry's gift cards planning to use them at Yak & Yeti, Rainforest Cafe and T Rex. I ended up spending it out after Yak & Yeti and T Rex.

You are correct!! When you get the Landry's gc in the mail it will have a picture of RFC and T-Rex on it.

I only do MyPoints for Bzz Agent payouts and e-mail clicks, but I usually get the RFC and use it at Yak and Yeti.

I am so close to getting the $50 gift card for Landry's from Mypoints, I wonder how long they are good? My vacation is 2/2011, lol. We just got back this year in May. I am already planning my next one.

I am hoping to get $150 in Landry's Cards and use them at RFC and TREX
