Gift Cards at the resort for KTTW

I am looking at paying for our vacation with gift cards to get an extra 5-10% discount and I had a couple questions?

When I have went in the past I would give them cash to put on my KTTW card. Can i just give them 20 -$50 gift cards and bring more down when those run out?

Is there any problem paying for your room only or annual passes with the gift card?


Also any tips, warnings, insight into using the gift cards?

I would use your gift cards a few at a time, rather than all at once. At the end of your stay, if you have any money remaining, it has to be refunded with the same method that was originally used to pay. Far easier to only have to flip through 2 or 3 cards to find the right one, rather than 20 at a time.

In February 2010 I wanted to put about $500 in gift cards down at POP. I was given a REALLY hard time about this. In our previous dozen stays at various resorts at WDW I had never had a problem. When I charged it would just come off the credit. I was told I could just visit the desk each night and pay down my balance with the gift cards, which I ended up doing.
