How cool to meet the Ghost Adventures guys! DUDE!!!

I'm loving Destination Truth so far after one episode. That show was spooky!!!

And Ghosthunters has been good so far. I wonder where they'll have their Halloween show this year?

Destination Truth was AWESOME last week!! I love Josh.

Zack from Ghost Adventures was so funny. They made a huge point of shaking the hand of everyone who came to their table (this was at ScareFest in Lexington, KY). They were talking to people's friends on their cell phones, recording videos of people, and I watched Zack talk to a video camera of a lady whose son was a fan but couldn't be there. He was hysterical and really spent some time doing it.

I was wearing a "Hi, My Name is Sookie Stackhouse" Merlott's ID tag that my DH had just bought me (he thought it was funny as I'm a huge fan of the Sookie Stackhouse books and the True Blood TV series). Zack looked at me and said, "Sookie, that's an unusual name. I like it." I just smiled because I didn't really want to say anything and then Nick looks at it and says, "Dude. It's a TV Show. Like, on HBO or something."

I couldn't help but laugh.

I was thinking that the Halloween episode might be that prison they were at this week since Josh was with them and he was the "host" last year. Plus they made a point of saying they would like to come back...as soon as they said that I said to my daughter "I wonder if this will be their Halloween episode this year"

I think you might have something Nancy! I thought it was unusual for them to say they needed to come back because that is not their typical reaction or statement.

We watched last week's Destination Truth last night and I really liked it. DH gets frustrated that they start to get activity but then bug out after one night. I would like to know if they actually spend more than one night in a location. It does seem like 3 or 4 days would be more revealing in, say, a haunted forest, than just one night.

Josh cracks me up with the way he 'assimilates' to the local society. By riding on a parade float as they announce he is from the Batman movie! So funny! But when he eats or drinks crazy stuff, DH and I are always 'No Way!'.

I think it will be a good season, though I know they save the best episodes and investigations for the beginning and end of the season.

I don't think we get Ghost Adventures here in Canada....very sad, we only get Ghost hunters which I love and few other shows that I am not sure if I believe they are real or not.

At first I thought it was Jason because of the shirt he was wearing and stuff but when they showed them sitting at the table and it couldn't be them, wow!!!!!! And no way for a person to walk through those tables..... I hope they go back to that place again. That was definitely neat!

That Island of the Dolls on DT was totally freaky. I would have just been right out of my mind scared even if there weren't ghosts because it was so weird! lol

Ok, on DT, with the doll... did Josh touch it with the antenna of that radio? I have watched it again and again and sometimes I think yes and sometimes I think no?

And I must have really bad eyes because I couldn't see the figure on GH. I see something that looks like there's someone "beaming in" (LOL - I have no other idea how to describe it!) breifly, and then it's gone.

I also can't hear all of the EVP's that people play on these shows.

Yes, I could see the figure on GH. lol love your description! Watch the portion where they show the Sheriff the clean version and you'll see it really well. Very spooky!

Sometimes I can't hear the EVPs until they "clean them up".

Usually I can "hear" an EVP (what does that stand for BTW? Just kidding )


But I very rarely can make out what words are being said....usually once they give their idea on what it is saying than I think "oh yeah, that is what it said" so I think it is more power of suggestion for me.

Oh I got ya now......yes, sometimes it is just garble to me too but I'm still freaked that there is something obvously there, regardless of what it is saying.

We have someone/thing here in this house. The dogs will just stop and stare at a spot for no reason. Wake from a sound sleep and stare at the stair case like someone is coming down....very bizarre. Nothing ever creepy just strange.

Where abouts in NY is that town? I am north of Syracuse.

If you want to watch any and I mean any of the paranormal shows that are on in the English speaking world, then go to YouTube and to paranormrus1's station. He had over 3000 videos (including Creepy Canada). However, I am warning you that once you start you will spend hours watching. He has Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, GHI, Paranromal State, Destination Truth to name just the tip of the ice berg.

Don't you remember the evp at the Mt. Washington Hotel in NH on GHI a few seasons ago, no need to clean that baby up...it was so clear. What about the one from Sharon Tate when she is screaming? Then again there is the one from Lullaby Lane about three or four seasons ago...getting chills just thiking of it. Of course there is the one from my own home..."Help Me" could not sleep for at least two weeks no kidding.

We watched Destination Truth and were very impressed this week! The King Tut's tomb part was pretty amazing and while there wasn't too much evidence from the Skunk Ape part, it was very interesting.

GH was less exciting this week but the Staten Island church pastor/priest was fun to watch. I admit I fell asleep for the Chicago visit. I was all excited that they were in Chicago at all but then the community center really was a dud. Long way to drive for absolutely no activity.

And I was amused that Jay was wearing a Spaulding Inn sweatshirt for both episodes. Hmmmm. Little advertising there! Can't blame him but it isn't going to encourage me to visit!

Any other thoughts?

It is western NY...Kenmore is a small village just north of Buffalo...part of the town of Tonawanda.

I remember those! The Tate one really freaked me out and the "not Joan" one was really Some are really clear, but others...no so much.

I forget where they were when there was one that said "I like the one in the hat" and Jason was wearing his baseball cap of course.


This weeks show was a bit boring, I actually fell asleep before the second reveal.

Wow! I haven't been on this thread in a while.

I fell asleep watching the DVRd episode of GH this week and it was in the middle of the afternoon! One thing that really irrates me is when they debunk stuff. I should be more specific and say that I hate it "sometimes" because I understand that they have to do this. It's when they try something out and say Yup that's it! I think Steve was outside looking up at the church window while Tango was walking back in forth. Yup, that is what people are seeing instead of shadows. Well, what if the church was empty and locked up? How could people be in the storage room and walking back in forth?

I'm actually not surprised. The "live" shows just didn't really work out all that well for them in the past.
