Ghost Hunters Thread & Personal Ghost Experiences & other Paranormal Talk.

Dismomme, cant wait to hear all about your trip when you get back!:goodvibes

I'm going to see Lisa Williams on Wednesday night. I can't wait and am hoping a certain someone comes through but either way, I am so excited to see her.

Did anyone watch Ghost Adventures this weekend? I know that the guys are goofy and all but this is the only episode that I found genuinely creepy. Something about those hallways..

I also remember someone said that Zak's hair wasn't working. I agree! He looks silly.

Hey y'all :wave2:

I haven't read through all the posts yet but I thought this would be the perfect place to share my excitement about my upcoming trip. (My DH is a complete skeptic and good naturedly pokes fun at my excitement).

I am going next weekend to The Spalding Inn in NH. It is the Inn that Jay & Grant bought. It was featured last week in a cross-over episode with GHI. I am going with a group of women that have all had experiences in their past. We hope that being sensitive to the activity will make it more active for us.

Going to go back now and read some of your posts! Happy hunting....

Awesome...my bil was just saying today that he wants to go there and see what happens. Personally I want to go to MT. Washington and see what happens there. YOU HAVE to take tons of photos and even bring a digital recorder. Let us know what happens.

I did but I cannot remember which one it was. The Castillo was last week. OH
wait was it the mission? The one where the bed was messed up and they supposedly got EVP"S?

Yes, it was the mission.

I'm not sure if I trust these guys with the messed up bed and such things but it was interesting that Richard Senate was on the show. He has certainly been involved in these things for a long time. I just felt really creeped out when they showed the dark hallways and the outside areas. I need to look up this mission.

Actually the mission was somewhere in California.

Now one of the haunted lighthouses that the TAPS guys went to is in St Augustine and so is a wonderful old Spanish fort. Those places are great!

It's La Purisma I live about 2 miles from the mission it's a beautiful mission. But I agree it looks very creepy at night. Oh and it's in Lompoc California

I love that you may have a hungry ghost! If I were a ghost, I would steal food too!

Just back from The Spalding Inn. Went with 2 female co-workers and 3 female friends. Had lots of fun and great experiences. I haven't gone through all of the video yet and another co-worker has the digital pics to go through. We did listen to the audio. It was a brand new tape recorder and tapes (not voice activated). I watched it being opened and the batteries being inserted. We (4 of us) held an EVP session in out room. We sat in a square with the recorder in the middle and took turns asking questions. After we rewound the tape and listened. Only 1 voice was recorded asking questions. The rest of us were not recorded and there were no extraordinarily long pauses in between the 1 girls questions. The last question was Is there anything you want to tell us? there was a male voice (sounded like it was right next to the recorder) that said "I'm warning you!"

Anyway, had lots of personal experiences also. Going to catch up on some sleep then I'll go through the video. If there is anything good I'll try to post it.

Wow! Thanks for updating us. BTW do you mind telling me how much per night they charge and where exactly it is in NH? What is around it? Do they have a website? MY BIL is very interested and so am I. I would love to go. I am going to google it but if you have any info I would appreciate it.

Sure. It is in Whitefield NH. on Mountain View Rd and it was $150 per night. Up to 3 to a room and they will bring a cot into the room for the 3rd person. My dinner, drinks and dessert cost about $50 but we spent about 4 hours in the bar playing pool and eating so it was reasonable, I think. They offer a free breakfast.

Ok, Website.... http://www.thespaldinginn.com/ there are 2 buildings, the main building and the carriage house. We stayed in the main bldg Rm 32. Friends stayed in 34, no activity in their room. If you have OnDemand I think the TAPS episode about the Inn is still on there. The grounds are beautiful. We walked around a lot. We were only there 1 night, didn't do a lot. There is a ski area down the road and horseback riding. Also skimobile trails and hiking trails. I bet it is beautiful in the fall. Santa's Village and 6 Gun City are near there also. Fun for younger kids. We are already planning our next visit back.

so is it near N.Conway? Santa's Village was in Jaffery and for some reason I seem to remeber it being near Storyland and North Conway. I have not been up that way for ages. Did you see grant and Jason?

I would love to stay at that inn, ghosts or not! It looks like a nice place.

I see that their most expensive time is Fall. Makes sense but I bet that Spring would be real nice too.

what is this a picture of?

That's me in the Gun powder/dungeon/bones room in the St. Auggie fort where Zack from Ghost Adventures did his "chains" taunt in the episode, exactly where I sit.

Very interesting reading. I have a couple of stories to share...

My younger brother's first child had a neural-tube defect that was not found until 6 weeks before delivery. The baby was born alive, but only lived a little less than an hour. That night my sister had a dream that my father, who had passed about 12 years earlier, came to her and said "Eric's with me. I'll watch out for him."

My son was born 2 years later. The first day he was home from the hospital, I was napping in my room with my son in the bassinet beside me. I was awaken, but not really awake, by my grandfather who had passed about 14 years earlier. My grandfather was looking at my son, and saying how beautiful he was. Then he said "Look at his hands. He's got my hands."

I don't really know what to think about these dreams. But I never knew about my sister's dream until I told her about mine. When we compared "notes" it was eerie how similar our experiences/feelings were.

The other incident happened about 5 years ago. We were visiting friends in the mountains of NC. They rented a log cabin near the VA border. I'll give you some background info on the cabin first.

The cabin was hand-built by the owner of the cabin's husband. They lived there for years until the husband died. The wife then moved closer into town, and rented the cabin to my friend. (There were many years between the time he died and she rented, BTW.) My friend would hear odd things that freaked her out, but never really scared her. Some nights she would hear the husband in his workshop under the cabin hammering. The workshop was only accessible by 1 door, and that was padlocked, with the wife having the key. Sometimes she would hear footsteps in the house. Once she kept hearing a bell ring. For the most part, she would tell him that he was scaring her, and ask him to stop, and he would stop.

So we were up there visiting for the weekend. She was sleeping in her room with her DH and their dog on the first floor. My son and her son, both 6, were sleeping in her son's room on the first floor. Me, my DH, and my one yr old were sleeping in the guest room on the second floor, along with their cat.

About 3am, the cat starts making this yowling noise, and DD starts fussing. At the same time, I hear the boys downstairs fussing. DH gets DD, and I go downstairs to get the boys. At the same time, my friend comes out of her room shaking. She tells me that the dog started growling, so she opens her eyes, and sees a shadow standing over her. She tried to scream, but was too scared and no sound came out. The dog is staring at the shadow and growling. Then the shadow takes off through the wall, and out of the house. It was just so odd because it all happened at once with the kids all fussing and the pets getting nutty. And none of the kids ever woke up, but just fussed in their sleep, and have no memory of the happenings.
