Ghost Hunters Thread & Personal Ghost Experiences & other Paranormal Talk.

Hey Y'all! I'm backfrom Savannah and had a fabulous time. We did a ghost tour that was a lot of fun and ate in a haunted rest. I was sitting by this galss window that over looked another room. I kept looking over my shoulder expecting to see someone there and then the waitress told us that the window has a lot of activity around it. I guess people take pictures and then see faces in the panes. I was sitting there saying that the ghosts could show themselves to me....I wanted to experince something! So my sister took my picture and I had my arm around a "pretend ghost" I just saw the picture and above my head in one of the panes I can see a face! :scared1: Now it could just be lighting etc, so I'll have to wait for my pictures to get put on the computer and see if it looks the same in them.

We also went into the Sorrell-Weed house. This is a house that Ghosthunters went into in 2005 for their Halloween show and got some good evp's. The whole time there I kept saying to myself "if there are any ghosts here you can go ahead and touch my arm or leg, I want proof" but nothing. My sister and I did get creeped out in the basement...I had really weird feelings there. And in one of my pictures it looks like an orb towards the floor, but again, I'm looking on my little screen on the camera so once I get them into the computer I'll be able to tell better.

The last place we went to before we came home was an old cemetary. This was a plce that Sherman's troops kinda messed up big time. There is a back wall where they lined up all the damaged head stones. I was walking along and started to read some and all of the sudden I got really light headed and sick to my stomach. All I could think was "I need to get away from here" As soon as I walked away I started to feel better....it was really strange.

Hopefully I'll have time to take care of the pictures tonight and then I'll get them posted here.

WOW! Thats the same cemetary I visited a few years back....I got sick to my stomach and went to the front gate, and waited for my DS and DH to join me, as soon as we left, I felt a LOT better!;) By the way, I LOVE Savannah!;)

I just love Grant and Jason :goodvibes If I am ever a ghost I so want them hunting me ;)

OMG, this episode is making me sad. :sad1: The ghost of the 9 year old wants to go home with Jason. :sad1:

I get the feeling Grant and Jay's wives get a little uncomfortable with what they do. Could you imagine, with the batch of kids they have, how peeved their wives would be if this little boy actually managed to follow one of them home?! Or better yet, imagine one of their kids bringing the "new kid" to school for show and tell?! :rotfl:

I imagine that the wives are probably used to it by now, at least I hope so! They've been doing this stuff for so long.

Steve is so mean to Tango but I laugh in spite of that. They remind me of an older brother and younger brother and how they often interact.

I liked the mill. I would so love to tour these interesting places if they weren't so far away.

Arg this is when i miss having cable and not such a limited internet. Love love ghost hunters!

As for own paranormal experiences, I from time to time can smell my grandparents' house. I feel this is my grandmother visiting me :)

The cemetery post made me remember something my niece experienced. She would have been 9 when this happened, she is 16 now. My SIL, BIL and their son and daughter were visiting the cemetery where my MIL is buried, also is where her father, or my niece's great grandfather is buried. He passed away when my niece was 4. She'd only seen him a few times in her life as they live out of state.

Anyhow, as the family is walking through the cemetery my niece tells her parents that there is a man walking behind her. They look, no one there. She say's the old man has his hand on her shoulder, "I think it is grandaddy". She says he made her feel peaceful and just wanted to visit. She was very calm and not freaked out about it. Her mom was freaked though. She was just visting us 2 weeks ago and brought this up and asked if I remembered it.

The episode last night was at Slater Mill which is in the city next to mine. I thought it was so cool of what they got out of the boy

I love Ghost Hunters!!! I can't believe I just found this thread! I'll have to go back and read it all but wanted to share my ghost story .....

I think we have a "visitor" in our house. We thought it was weird because the house is newer - we built it in 2003. Soon after we moved in I started seeing a shadow out of the corner of my eye. The first time it happened I thought it was DH walking by the dining room to enter the kitchen. I even stopped what I was doing because I was expecting him to walk in. Nope. No one was there. I didn't think too much of it because I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me. I'd see the shadow out of the corner of my eye once in a while but still thought I was seeing things. Well, one day DD told me she saw a shadow but I didn't tell her I did to because I didn't want to scare her.

Anyway, one night last summer my ILs were visiting as was my sister. I had never mentioned the shadow to anyone. We were all sitting in the dining room listening to my FIL drone on about something (yes, he is very looooong winded) and I looked at my MIL, who was sitting across from me, and she had this weird look on her face. So as not to interrupt my FIL I mouthed to her "Are you OK?" and she mouthed back "I just saw someone walk by. A shadow.". :scared1: She totally confirmed what I had been seeing.

Also, my DH will hear voices (no he's not crazy .... well maybe a bit). He'll come downstairs from our master bathroom and say "Did you come in the bathroom and say something?". Nope. And what's weird is we've both heard someone say "Hey, it's me". We have a joke (hence my screen name) about that since whenever I call someone I never say my name I just say "Hey, it's me".

We don't know who it is but I suspect it might be my Uncle Pat who passed away many years ago. There's a weird story about how he 'helped' us get in our house. He's probably just checking in with us to make sure he did a good job. He did!

I haven't see the shadow lately but I wish he or she would pop in again!

:hyper: I can't wait!!! popcorn::

I hope I'm up for it - I had a really creepy night last night. I was in our home office and out of the blue, on my left side - I swear something was right next to my face. My instinct was to shy away from it and shoo with my hand, because I thought something was going to touch my face. I had to call DH in while I gathered up my things and moved into the greatroom to watch tv. I was pretty scared. Then, I woke up last night pretty scared. It may have been me just still freaked out from earlier that night, but I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was in our hallway. :sad2: Who knows. I'll be glad when tomorrow's over - I'll let everyone know how it goes.

BTW, Bella did you ever have your house saged? I can't remember.

Acutally I made my husband do the attic. I was too afraid to go up. We have been moving lots of things up there so I hope we did not disturb anything.

:thumbsup2 I thought I remembered something like that.

Well, the house blessing was great. They just did a blessing and not a cleansing. They didn't want to do something wrong and make things worse, so they decided against the cleansing. I agreed. It felt great. Hopefully it worked. Again, I thought it a little strange that activity picked up the two days before they came over, but it could have been coincidence too.

Anyway, the house blessing was probably long overdue and I'm glad it's done. :)

ETA: As of right now, We still have the mirror and the ring.

Oh, and I give the GH episode a 5 1/2 ghost rating. Mainly because the second half was a dud. I loved the first half - the boy was sad, but not really scary for some reason - that's why the lower rating. But still a good episode :thumbsup2 and a refreshing change from GHI :woohoo:

I missed it and I cannot find it on YOU TUBE what was the title of it. I thought it was I Married an Ax Murderer but I cannot find it. Hope the blessign works. I was up in the attic yesterday cleaning out a ton of stuff and I was thinking of what happened. They say spirits like to live in a messy area and my attick is three huge rooms filled with tons of stuff. Well it is more like a half ton now. LOL!

I think it was So I married an axe murderer :confused3 I have no idea. I'd look it up on my DVR, but I erased it right after I watched it.

I forgot about the messy areas thing - I should have had a special blessing for my basement ;)

It was called, "So She Married an Axe Murderer." Just checked it on the Tivo to make sure.
