Ghost Hunters Thread & Personal Ghost Experiences & other Paranormal Talk.

I haven't read your story yet Bella, but I would give the second half of that episode a 3 ghost rating.

I'm glad I didn't miss too much then. Both kids were up during the second 1/2. "I gotta go to the bathroom" "I need a drink of water" yeah yeah yeah. :sad2:

Oooo bella, I have to agree with ward. But I have to give it a 9 or 10 for a full bodied apparition that talks to you :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: .

BTW, I feel like how you described your MIL, one of the most conservative down to earth people I know, but this stuff follows me everywhere - it makes me feel like a freak. BTW, except DH and close family - I don't tell anyone this stuff, I'd feel too weird. Does anyone else feel that way?

That's funny because I'm exactly the same way. I figure I'm practically anonymous on the DIS so it's easier to talk about it here. BTW, my aunt posts on the DIS too and I never told her about my stories face to face. I she read this thread, I hope she doesn't think I'm a nut now. :scared:

Nope, not much. Just alot of noise, flick in the ear, and a very muffled evp. Sorry for any spoilers, but I figure there wasn't much to spoil.

BTW, anyone else who watched - does Kris EVER have anything happen? The more I watch the shows with her, the more I think the show did put her on for the guys to look at and nothing else. She doesn't seem very sensitive and actually looks bored half the time.

YES!! Me too. I am a normal person and the reason I got into this stuff was just because things happened to me and I wanted to find out about it.

My son you know the "evp recorder" is also sensitive. This is off topic but interesteing. When my kids were little I was a SAM. I monitored evertying that did. NO violent tv only Sesame and Mr. Rogers. Only Disney movies...and no sugar before they were two! You got the picture.

My second son was VERY precocious! He spoke at a very early age and by the way had quite a few teeth by 3 months!! There is a reason I tell you this. Anyway, when he was barely two he would be talking to an unknown person. I used to think okay I can deal with this I have a degree in psychology it is just that he has an imaginary friend. I asked him who he was talking to. He said, "OH that is my friend Rick." I said oh and who is that. He said, "Well mum I chose to come to you and dad, I knew Grammie and Auntie from before but I did not know you." "I was in the army with Rick , I was a general and he was a sargent." (Now keep in mind there was NO MILITARY talk in my house. My dad had been in the Navy as had been all my uncles but I really did not even know what ranks were used for each branch of the armed service I had to ask my dad what branch of the military used generals and sargents). He then said, " Rick saved my life, during the war"(so I am thinking there is NO WAY and I MEAN NO wAy he had this info). Then he says , "I was drunk and throwing up and chocking on it and on my back and Rick turned me over and kept me from chocking." Then he said, " Rick has not come down yet he is still up there." WEll needless to say I kind of flipped out because not one single thing he said had any basis in our lives. We are not drinkers he had no idea what the word drunk even meant he was a little over 2 years old!!!!!! I never allowed my childeren to have any violent toys either but Mr. EVP would take those black decorative plate holders and close them and use them as guns!! NO WAY was there any way he as a two year old would even know what a gun was. REALLY! As he got older he spoke to Rick less and less and then when he was about 4 he did not do it at all. I never questioned him about it because I did not want to lead him on. Needless to say that was the summer I got all the books I could find and read everything I coudl find about reincarnation. What I found out was that the theory is that everyone has a past life and when you are born you remember it. If you are able to verbalize it you can speak about it but as you grow older the memory fades. I knew none of this when I dealt with my son but it was strange it fit the pattern.

I mentioned his teeth earlier and that too was part of his being an old soul which he is. Despite the fact he is the youngest in the family he has always seemed to posses a knowledge and wisdom far beyond his years.

You know I think of Chris as a Valley Girl or a cheerleader. Ther does not seem to be any intellectual substance with her.

WOW BELLA! That would totally creep me out but at the same time I think I would be questioning DS (back when he was 2) until I annoyed the heck out of him.

I never really thought much about reincarnation, that story really makes me think though.

Yeah, whenever I see her on there I think she looks like the bored teenager that is on vacation with her parents.

But I have a degree in psych and you need to be very careful when you question because you can inadvertently plant info and I did not want to do that because then I would not know what he picked up. I know he did not pick up any of the info he was giving me because you have no idea how controlled his environment was. I read "Journey of Souls" that summer but there is anohter book that came out about children and reincarnation that I read a few years later the author was on Oprah and she is the one who listed EVERYTHING that coincided with my son's experience.

BTW, he is the one that used to wake up in the night and say he saw the old woman coming toward him in his room. He was in the crib at the time and I just chalked it up to imagination but now with the evp I am guessing it was not.

Bella, cool story about your son. What is with the teeth - the reason I ask is that my son's teeth came in waaaay early, and there's a story with him too. He's told us a few times - out of the blue that he has two brothers "ya know". We're like, no honey you don't have any brothers just one sister. He says no, not now, but a long time ago he did. He had two brothers and one of them died when he was 19 yrs. old. We're like....ok....:confused3 . He then proceeds to tell us about living out west and more about his brothers. Freaky, but I'm like you bella, I just let it go and don't bring it up - I don't want to "plant" anything. He would also sit in his crib and look at something in the corner of his room all the time and point to it.

Now, my daughter had an "imaginary" friend. She'd just call it "her man". This may be perfectly normal, but I'd think if a girl has an imaginary friend, she'd make up a girl to play with. Her friend was not even a kid, but a man - creepy.

I have some other creepy things about myself, but I've already exceeded my freak quotiant for the day.

The teeth coming in earlier is just a sign that he is an old soul because he develops more quickly than a young soul. As for your son then you knwo what I mean but we hesitate to tell people because then they think you are a nut. The thing is most religions including Christianity believed in reincarnation. During the middle ages the belief was striken from the church doctorine because they could not control the masses as well if they felt that they could come back and did not have to do it right in this life. During the middle ages, when the church was really a sanctuary for non inheiriting sons, they needed to keep the peasants in check so they got rid of the belief in reincarntion.

Interesting stuff. Have you ever had feelings that you were an "old soul" bella? There's a reason I'm asking.

WEll not an old soul but I do look for this house that I know I used to live in. My room was in the attic. It was a center entrance colonial that was yellow with green shutters. I remember looking down from the staircase to the first floor and I think my room has unfinished eaves. I have looked for this house everywhere I go but my feeling is that it is in Salem. I have no idea why. I forgot to add I never lived in a house like that...I only grew up in one house and it was a duplex in the city.

Also when I was a chld I had a recurring dream I was walking in a dark area but there were all colors with around me like spot lights but without the light. I was in a beam of white comforting light and there was someone holding my hand. I am also adept at drawing etc. I went took some grad courses at Mass art and for lack of somthing to paint I painted my dream. It hit me after I did it that maybe it was either the death or birth experience. The being with me holding my hand was very comforting and made me feel safe. Keep in mind that these dreams were pre school(not preschool but before I went to school) I do not know how old I was but I used to wake up calling my mother. I am in my late 40's but I can recall them as if they were yesterday and when I did the painting it was like it all became clear.

Again I know I sound like a nut but if you met me you would be shocked to see how normal I am.

I know exactly what you mean - this thread has been like a release to get all this stuff out that I wouldn't talk about IRL. I guess if we didn't realize that we sound nuts, we might actually be nuts. OK, warning - I'm about to exceed my freak quotiant. I've always felt like an old soul. I can remember far back, not to another life, but as a baby even. I know this sounds crazy, but I can remember conversations that my parents had while holding me. And I must have been very young, because I can remember the feel and presence of one of those cloth diapers they used to use, over my parents shoulder as they held me. My mom also tells me that I would come up to her out of the blue, when I was around 2 yrs old or so and I would tell her that I'm clairavoyant. She remembers this vividly, because how does a 2 yr old even know what that word is. She said it freaked her out. I don't think I've even told DH that one. ;) As a kid I would dream of stuff all the time b4 it happened. I still do that. The other stuff is knowing who's calling b4 the phone rings, knowing what someones going to say (could be intuition :confused3 ), and I have "tornado" dreams everytime within a week or two of some major change occuring in my life - good or bad. I knew when my nana left my house for the last time that it was going to be the last time I saw her, and there was nothing wrong with her at the time. I could go on and on, but....weird, huh? Maybe there's logical explanations - I'd love it if there were.

NO I have the dreams too. I just lost the whole response I wrote but I will give readers digest version. I dreamed my cousins wife was preg with a girl. I call my aunt and ask if S. is preg. My aunt says no and then I tell her the dream. She says no S. is not preg. Two weeks later my aunt tells methat S. lost the baby. I say so she was preg and she says yes but she did ot want anyone to know until she was further along. At the time S. had 3 boys she now has 6 boys and no girls. I think that she lost the girl when she miscarrried.

I guess I opened a floodgate. I'd love to hear Diva's thoughts on our posts.popcorn::

I hate to do this, but I'm running on fumes right now - so tired. Probably why I opened up like I did - I tend to "talk" alot when I'm tired. Oh well, catcha tomorrow. Breezy - out. Nite all.
