O.K. I found it. I realize this is kind of out of context because I was talking to a friend who know more about me and everything. I don't feel like re-typing the whole thing though so I'll just paste it here and try to fill in the blanks so it makes sense.
In the incidents I was talking about in the previous post DD was still at home. She now is in college and lives an hour and a half away from us. Which will explain why she was so far away when her purse was stolen.

I could tell about my latest funny thing that happened though. It wasn't even ghost related but they got blamed. It wasn't even funny at the time either but I guess we can laugh now after a week and a half and things worked out.
O.K. it started the night Kenny and I come home from WDW. DH picked us up at the airport and when we got home the power was out. We just went to bed but in the middle of the night the phone was chirping because of low battery. I just took the batteries out and went back to sleep. Next morning the power is back but the phone is still croaked so now I have no phone upstairs. A couple of nights later DD had her purse stolen so she tried to call but I still don't have a phone upstairs so she called my sister. MY DSis and DBIL come to our house and they're outside screaming at us and blowing the horn trying to wake us up. Did I get up? No.
I think I told you before about when our neighbors across the street were having a fight. They were outside screaming and blowing the horn and my ghost didn't like it so it started pulling my hair. So when I heard a horn blowing and screaming I thought oh great, I'm going to get my hair pulled again so I pulled the covers over my head and tried to go back to sleep.
O.K. it all finally worked out. They got us up and DD got her purse and everything else back eventually. I don't think my DBIL was amused though when I told them why I didn't get up right away.

For the person who asked about the other shows:

Paranormal State is on A&E. I think on Mondays, but check their site. The best episode was the one about the piano. Yup, an entity attached itself to a piano that was bought by an antique dealer who got more than he bargained for. I guess he should have known it was too good to be true when he got it from a Craig's list ad that said "free piano", lol.

Ghostly Encounters is on the Biography Channel on Sunday nights. They show several episodes (4?) but 3 are repeats and one is new.

I don't think I mentioned Haunted History before, which is on the History Channel on Sunday nights at 10 or 11. I've seen all the shows, which date from around 1999 or 2000, so I don't watch it anymore, but they are pretty cool. Each episode profiles a city's historic sites and their ghosts, like Gettysburg's battlefields or the Merchant's House in NYC.

We are going to Wildwood NJ on vacation this year. Cape May is next door and they have a ghost tour. I told my DD 10 we are so going on that!

For a while I was watching Rescue Mediums on the WE network but I think they took it off the air. It's about 2 British mediums who visit haunted houses and try to help the home owners. They are really cute ladies.

I will have to check out A Haunting.

I noticed the History Channel also has a UFO Hunters show. I'm not sure what the deal is with all these paranormal shows, but I love it.

Nancy, I'd love to hear whatever stories you want to share although I don't think I'll read them tonight if you post, it's too close to bedtime.

I just have a question though, the little girl your DD saw, do you think it was someone who used to live there or a relative?

There is no little girl that I know of from my family or my husbands so I'm guessing if there really was something then it is someone that either lived in my house or in the area.My house is over 90 years old and was farm land before that.

Some weird things. My youngest slept in the same room DD saw the little girl in and she started to refuse to sleep in there, she was pretty little and kept talking about the shadows and the boy in the hallway. Now when I am home during the day right around 9:30 am I hear nosies in my upstairs hallway and the hall closet door tends to open by itself a lot.

I also will feel like something is watching me from the top of the stairway, never see anything but just think it is there while I'm sitting here in my chair.

We have tv's that turn off while watching them for no reason, now it could be frequency from some other house shutting them off but it happens in my bedroom and it happens in the front bedroom and they are not all that close to each other. My living room tv when I shut it off will turn back on when I walk out of the room. If it happened right away I could think I didn't turn it off right, but it waits till I walk out of the room.

One more thing, I did see the show with Chip and the psychic kids. It was OK. I couldn't tell if it was a special or a series.

OK, a second thing. An interesting book is Ghosts by Hanz Holzer. It's a huge book of his investigations of haunted houses and historic sites using mediums. He visited the Merchant's House in NYC. I went there but felt nothing. One thing I thought odd was that he said the Warrens were fakes and that Amityville was a hoax. I always heard the Warrens were reputable. Ryan from Paranormal State thinks so.

Most recent things in my house, maybe a year ago so not so recent.

We have a full walkup attic that has a half moon window in the front. That is right above the front bedroom where 2 of my 3 kids sleep. One morning about 1 minute after DH leaves for work he calls me and said, "go check the attic it lloks like the front window is out" I'm thinking 'sure, how does the window come out' This window does come entirely out to put the screen in but it does have a window lock on the bottom and around the edges there are bent nails that we turn to take it out.

So I go up to the attic and sure enough the window is laying on the floor....but all the nails are still in place and the lock is in the locked position. If that thing would have fallen out it would have made a loud bang right above the kids heads and they were in their room getting ready for school and heard nothing.

Ok, I put it into place make sure it is secure and go back downstairs. About a week later DH again calls me and said "looks like th window is out again can you check it" NOW I'm getting a little more freaked about it...but I head up to the attic and sure enough it is out again, all locks and nails are in locked position BUT this time the window is laying on boxes off to the side. I was thinking maybe someone was trying to get in but for that to happen thy would have to use a ladder to get up to the first floor roof and another to reach that window and the roof is slopped there so I don't think that would happen. At that point as I was putting the window in again I said 'ok, enough jokes knock off the window stuff it is starting to scare me'.Since then no more windows out.

That same day as I was getting ready for work I hear my answering machine pick up but my phone never rang. I go over to it and look and it says 3 messages...phone never rang. I listen to the messages and it's static only and the 3 messages are all one after each other about 1 minute apart. Now on top of the window thing I was getting really weirded out by then. I again said out loud 'whoever is trying to contact me, you got your point across now knock it off' Again, nothing since then.

Last story cause this one is probably just coincidence but it did give me some pause for thought.

My aunt died and she was my dad's last living sibling (my dad has been dead for 14 years now) He was her baby brother and they were very close. my aunt an uncle never had kids of their own so we (my sisters, brother and I) were also close. I even lived with my aunt for almost a year when my uncle got sick so she wasn't laone while he was in the nursing home. Anyhow when she died and we saw the will we all got a bit upset. She left her house to a non-family member and this person was someone who seemed to really get into my aunts life after my uncle passed. My Mom was also named executer and got half of her money (but not the house) Now I know it sounds petty but my aunt also named all the oher nices and nephews by name and said they get nothing. So we are all wondering just who this C person is and why she is getting the house. At my aunts funeral I heard her telling people how lonely my aunt was and how no one ever came to see her (not true at all) and how if she wasn't there for her she would have had no one.

So that ticked me off to no end so when I got home I started to send an e-mail off to my older sister telling her I was thinking of contesting the will. As I started to type out the words "autie m's will" my computer totally froze and it took days for me to get it working again. I even said "ok, ok I get it. I won't contest the will".

I still wonder though if it was her being mad at me for even thinking about the will or if it was just a weird coincidence. BTW, I did not contest the will at all. C got the house and half the money. Sold the house really quick for less money then the house was worth and according to my Mom had to pay back a reverse mortgage and didn't make all that much on the house.

They will usually leave me alone the rest of that night at least when I yell like that. Like I said, that's probably not the proper way to address them but when I'm tired I just yell at them to leave me alone. We can sometimes go for several months with no activity but when their active sometimes they pester me alot at night. They'll pick at my feet and mess with the covers. Sometimes sit on my feet.
Nancy, I guess you have a ghost that likes tv.
Hidden Mickey, I love those shows I think I've seen most of them but I'm not sure about Paranormal State. I know I've never seen that piano episode. I definately want to see that. I don't think I've heard of any type of UFO hunter type show either. I'll be on the lookout for that one for sure too.

I tried to post this but got kicked out. When I come back I saw some new stories by Nancy. I'm going to post before it kicks me out again and then I'll read the new ones. They look good from what I saw so far Nancy.

Wow Nancy! Freaky window story.
The story about about your aunt makes me think C certainly took advantage of your aunt somehow. No wonder you were ticked.

I'm starting to wonder if some of our ghost friends are messing with htis board. This is realy wierd. When I typed my last post I got kicked out when I tried to post it. I logged back in and had to come back to the comunity board and find the thread again. When I did there were Nancy's two posts with the two new stories. I had copied my post when I typed it in case if I had to re-log in so I hit the submit post button. When my post posted it was put in above those two posts by Nancy. I could see Nancy's two posts before I could actually post mine. I wonder how on earth my post could get above her two posts. Must be Nancy's aunt.

I don't really have a story but I do have something I wanted to share. Last night as I was putting my DS7 to bed he tells me that he saw a man in his room in his mind. I said you saw a man in your mind then pointed to his head. He said yes. I asked him where he saw him and he pointed to the foot of his bed that is near a closet door. I asked him what the man had been doing and he said that the man was moving back and forth. Dream? That made me think of all the times my DS7 used to wake up screaming his head off which would cause me to go crashing into his room to find out what was wrong. He would always freak me out because he would be bawling and shaking saying he was scared and point towards a corner of his room where I couldn't see anything! I would always say a prayer asking God to watch over him and protect him. I would also ask God to make anything that was in the room to go away. Am I watching to many paranormal shows or was something there?

Ya know, Bella and Pikester, my son recently moved into the guest room across the hall from us. He doesn't seem scared in there like he always is in his room. It was his idea - he just wanted to sleep there for a night. Three weeks later, he's moved his doorhanger with his name on it to the guest room door and put a sticker that has his name on it on the door too.

Weird that he's not scared in that room. Maybe it's just because it's across the hall from us - but we don't go to sleep at the same time he does, so he's still alone in the room.

I hope DD doesn't want a new room - we're officially out of guest rooms

Me! Me! Me! Mine is not as freaky as the others though.

First, let me say I am a HUGE GH fan and watch it every chance I get. Love all things Paranormal.

Ok, back in my high school days I had a friend that lived in a historical house. One of the early Gov of the state lived in this house. It was one of those old homes that had all hardwood floors and the basement was all dirt. Sppoky yet cool. I loved staying with my friend as she basically had no curfew and we stayed out late. Typical teenage stuff.

So one night we were coming home late and tried to be as quiet as we could coming in. We got to the top of the stairs and found my friends "mom" in the doorway to her room with the door only partially opened (you'll see why I say that in a moment). So we did our apologies and went to bed. When we got up the next morning for breakfast, we saw my friend's mom in a different nightgown then what we saw her in the night before. We questioned her about changing, she said no she had worn that to bed. Now I look at my friend and she looked at me and I swear our eyes were about to bug out. Her mom asked what we saw her in, we explained the nightgown was partially blocked by the door, but it was a white eyelet gown. Her mom was in bright red! So said she has also witness this same thing and never mentioned it before.

I know when they moved into the house they found a lot of military type items in the dirt of the basement. I never felt comfortable in the room they used for the tv area because the door to the basement area is off of that. After that night we came in late, I always had the feeling someone was watching us and could never shake it.

I did read that but of course I want to believe it was just a dream. To scary to think otherwise. He hasn't woken up crying in a long time so I'm hoping that is it. Unless he's just not scared anymore and it's still happening. I try to just treat what he told me as a matter of fact and not freak out over it.

I told myself that too but my son was 2 at the time and still in the crib. I used to make the dog sleep in his room as a security blanket for hm. Dog used to bark in the middle of the night and I just figured he heard someone outside. The thing is when my son t got the evp of a woman saying "help me" (all these 17 years later)he turned to me and said "SEE mum I TOLD you that someone was up there! I knew from when I was little." As I said, I told my husband to go up and tell her to go to the light and then we did the smudge thing. I always had a crcufix hanging over my son's bed in the room that he heard the breathing and would not sleep in(a different room than the room with the woman). I too thought it was a dream if your son is seeing someone too, DO NOT be afriad(yeah right like I am someone to say that) Just keep praying and hang a blessed ST. Benedict medal on his bed.

OH and my son used to have night terrors too. (Jeesh the more I write on this thread the more things I remember and darn if there isn't a lot of stuff). He would wake up screaming and i could not get through to him. SUDDENLY he would go back to sleep and literally two seconds later he would look at me and say something like, " Hi mummy, what are you doing." HOnestly, I used to tell my husband that it made me think of the "Exorcist". It was like night and day screaming on minute and the next closing his eyes and opening them like he was another person.

Obviously he outgrew it but when I look back in retrospect and having read so many books on the topic I now sometimes wonder if he WAS remembering another life.
