GFV booking when??? any thoughts??

I am sure it has been asked but any idea on when booking will be for GF? We just booked BWV for the week before Christmas (got 1BR Std view, yeah!, not our home resort). Could not get 12/23(std anyway) so waitlisted...THINKING since it is on a seperate WL we could cancel & move over to GFV for one night to check it out. Going this trip to get PAP vouchers renewed that we got 12/12 (bought 2 sets then).

I know GFV owners will get to book first but any thoughts on when it might be available. Wonder what my odds will be for 1 night...???Thanks for any thoughts...

Booking started today for VGF owners. From the member website:

Launch Period Booking Window

Due to this Resort's scheduled opening date, Disney Vacation Club has temporarily altered traditional booking windows to ensure that Members who call this Resort "home" will enjoy Home Resort Priority.

As Home Resort Priority reservations for The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will begin only 5 months before the Resort's scheduled October 23, 2013 opening date, Disney Vacation Club has temporarily altered traditional booking windows.

Members who own at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa may begin using their Home Resort vacation points to book stays at the Resort for check-in dates as far as 11 months out, as normal.

However, when reservations open to other Members beginning June 23, 2013, reservations with check-in dates ranging from October 23, 2013 through December 31, 2013 will be available in a 4-month booking window instead of the usual 7. Reservations with check-in dates beginning on or after January 1, 2014, will be available to be booked through the typical 7-month booking window starting June 23.

This temporary alteration of traditional booking windows is designed to provide Home Resort Priority during the grand opening of this new Resort.

Scan the GF threads on this site. All the information is in there. If you're not an owner you can't book until 4 months out I think for a certain date range, and some other dates are even later.

I think if you're not an owner you have to wait until June to book.

But one of the other threads on here has it. I'll try finding it as well.

If you own there, you can book today.

ETA... erionm, that's the second time today we posted at the same time, and I was a day late and a dollar short. LOL At least you have the answer though.

Thanks all. Went to the DVC site AFTER I posted this & found the info. Probably slim change for 1 night but I may WL in August @ 4 months to try it. Who knows?? Just realized we will be there when it OPENS in October....tempting to add a night then if available to try it out. We added 30 pts at BLT when it was offered & have only stayed there twice. First time was not at all impressed w/the studios but went back for Princess 1/2 marathon weekend and enjoyed it more. That experience, made me hesitate to JUMP into another small contact which is what we'd have to do at GF.
